Should I be worried???

Hello –

We have rented points for a stay at WDW in October. We have the 1st night at BCV and the remaining 5 at WLV with a waitlist for the 1st night at WLC so we do not have to hop for the 1st night --- not a big deal if we have to.

Here is my situation:

I tried to call and book ADR’s at CRACK o DAWN this morning for our late October stay and they could not find my ressies!!!!!!!!!
GREAT….. now all the places we want will be booked up since I could not take advantage of the 180 day window.

I have called reservations before and check on them to make sure the DVC member actually made them prior to paying a lump o cash (via PayPal) and they were there. But now they are not!!!!!!

I called DVC to make sure they were there and of course they could not talk to me since I am not a member --- I have the “confirmation” numbers but refused to help. I understand rules but they are supposed to be in my name??!!!

Worry Wart here…….What if the DVC member (not saying they are fraudulent….) but just cancels them?? Can they do that??? ( I am sure the answer is YES) but is there a fail safe way to make sure they don’t???? We have a “contract” but that is on paper….LOL….Geez….. what have I done!

I have an email into the DVC member to help (no response yet )but now I am somewhat freaking out!!!!!

I will give them until the end of the day until I completely lose it.

Help ?? Answers? Suggestions?? ….. a kick in the butt??

It looks like it has been cancelled!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you check both reservations? If the waitlist was matched for the first night, the BCV reservation will be cancelled and a new reservation made for that one night.

Do any of the persons listed on the reservation have different last names or any hyphens or any other characters? If the primary last name is not entered exactly, the site will not return a match.

No one except for the owner you rented from will be able to give you a definite answer if the reservations were cancelled out right.

Yes, I checked both reservations. The first one is the one that was cancelled and it says that it was cancelled.

The reservations are all under my name --- no hypens..... misspellings not sure of but my name is not that difficult!!!!

The second one is still in tact.... WHEW.... ( for now )

So if my WL cleared then I will have a so called 3rd Confirmation number with that 1 night stay... is that what you are saying?? Why would they just not link them to begin with???

And the only person who can tell me what the new number is would be the DVC owner... correct?

Can they link them together so it shows as 1 complete 6 night stay and so we do not have to change rooms etc...???

Yes, the owner will need to contact you with the new reservation number for the first night. They should already be linked (but still with 2 reservation numbers) and the resort will see it as a 'continuing stay' so you won't have to check-out/check-in after the first night. If the owner had called and the first night was available, MS would just modify the check-in date. When matched by waitlist, they create a new reservation for that night(s) and link the reservations together.
