Should I be concerned?

Broker said seller booked this reservation with the wrong points. Apparently the seller is a broker with multiple contracts. He has corrected the problem so it should all be good. Still not sure how it made it through closing with the reservation intact. I am not sure what will happen with the extra points. I would be happy to transfer them back.

When someone sells, the contract does not disappear until it actually transfers to the new owner, so it is still possible for the old owner to book.

I bet the seller made this after closing...as you said by mistake...and when MA did the transfer to you, saw it had been made after the official closing date and went ahead and kept it.

That would be my guess. But, I am glad that it all worked out.

Wow, that's a much more generous interpretation than I would have had -- for a reservation that happens to fall exactly in the very tiny window this could even happen.

His "mistake" booking was only caught because you were diligent and paying attention. I wouldn't be so quick to fix his other "mistake." Maybe the fair solution is in between.
