I think not. I believe there are many people out there who not vote for Obama if she were his running mate.

I never thought she should be, but after her speech tonight, I think absolutely not. She needed to show him some respect and she didn't and if she can't now, would she ever?

I would love for this to remain peaceful, I want to learn more. Why do you all feel the way you do?
For me the reason is that she was my second choice. At first I was very pro Hillary but a big reason I decided against her was because I was concerned about how other countries would regard her, especially since many are still very male dominated societies. I questioned if they would take her seriously and give her the respect she would deserve.

I wish I had not missed the speeches. Anyone have any links so I can view them?

At this point, I say yes. Not my first choice, but I think she'd garner more votes for the ticket than she'd lose it. I'm all about getting Democrats in the White House. :)

Actually - the US is behind the times in electing a woman leader of the country - Israel had one, Great Britain, Ireland, Pakistan - to name a few I remember. ;)

The reason why I want her to be selected is that the race was really close. I think having both of them on the ticket would be representative of all the voting blocs that voted for both of them.

My opinion, for what its worth, is that Obama doesn't choose Hillary at his own peril. I honestly feel a big chunk (maybe significant) of Hillary voters will not vote for him, as he expects........

Time will tell.

I don't see how Hillary would hinder Obama. If he has true support those people will stick with him and Hillary has a shot at bringing her huge bloc of support with her.

Actually, I think that Obama not choosing her for some role would hurt him.

No. Obama represents change and Clinton represents the Washington Beltway mode of doing business.

If Clinton is willing to work with Obama, she should work on creating the Universal Healthcare program as a cabinet member or the Obama Administration's point person in the Senate.

Another person in another thread I am reading basically asked who do we want to run the country if Obama falls ill or is assassinated.

Then she said that if they were going to vote for Hillary they may as well have her second in command.

These are not exact words because I do not feel it is right bringing exact quotes from other boards here.

I said no. If I were in a position to advise Obama, that is what I would tell him.

In the long run she would be more of a liability than an asset. She's not the type to stay in the background while Obama runs things. It would only be a matter of time before she -- or Bill -- would upstage Obama. She's too polarizing a figure and could turn off many of the independents the Democrats and Republicans will be trying to woo.

.

If skin color and gender aren't supposed to matter, why is it important for a woman or a black man to be president?

Wouldn't you just want the best person in the WH?

That and some recent comments from bill and the RFK comment make me say not even no but hell no.

I voted no. I think she'd want to run things and would walk all over BO. She's not the "second fiddle" kinda woman. Must have been tough for her to be FL.

undecided...you need an undecided....I have just as many yes's as I do No's.....UGGGGGGE :(

I voted no.
And I think the question should be re-worded. Not should "Hillary be Obama's running mate?" but "Should Obama invite Hillary to be his running mate". He won, she lost, he's the alpha now. Let's move on.

You are so right, and it is a flippin travesty, TRAVESTY that she will not be leading this nation.:worried:
