Should have had the show this week even without Pete

Im sorry but this show means a lot to me, and each week i seriously plan my schedule on listening to it.

As much as I love Pete, no reason everyone else could not have come in. I would have love to have seen another crew member step up and host or even have a guest host like BIG FAT PANDA

Part of why I enjoy this show so much is the consistency and anticipation that it is always scheduled the same time every week.

A make up show this week or perhaps a two hour show next week will go along way

Either way I was able to catch up with my connecting with walt series but hope this doesn't become a pattern

Pete was sick and the show is held at his house. I don't see how that could become a pattern? He did put out a video on facebook of unboxing the Disneyland box he bought. Sickness happens we all get sick at some point whether its a lot or once every five years. We all love the show but its a privilege not a guarantee.

I agree with the original poster. When I find out that someone is sick, the first thing I want to do, usually, is go and sit in their house for 90 minutes, especially after they've told me not to come.

Seriously? It's something they put out for free that costs them money, time, and energy. Pete was sick, the show is done at his house, he didn't want to expose everyone to the illness. Frankly, if they decided not to do a show one week because they didn't feel like it, that's their prerogative. They certainly do not owe listeners anything or have to "make-up" anything.

I seriously hope OP that you are being tongue in cheek with this. Sometimes the podcast just isn't going to happen. Pete was sick and afraid of getting others sick. It was 1 show and 1 daily fix. We still got today's daily fix and Pete seems to be resting up. They really don't owe us anything especially because they do it all for free! This is the only podcast I listen to who has never begged for money from it's listeners and actually encourages it's listeners to give to charity and not to them.

I actually really enjoyed the food vlogs over the weekend by the boys. Why not do an outdoor show?

I love Pete and hope he is feeling well, I know he has been trying really hard to get healthy

The show equipment is at Pete's house. Live shows outside of Pete's house have to be planned. The food vlogs were likely done on iPhones or Handhelds that Craig and Ryno have.

I get defending the podcast but it's not a 1 man show, it's a company, they make money from this.. It does happen without pete when he's keeping his ABD record alive. I don't really mind that the show didn't happen but the OP does bring up good points and 5+ other people who would be on the show weren't sick..

This is an interesting challenge. I'm not involved but we're having a lot of podcasts not happen lately and this is starting to be a trend.. I think it's valid criticism to say the show must go on and it might be time to think of how to make that happen.

They plan for it when Pete is away though. You don't plan for someone to get sick.

Also, as others have said, this isn't a new thing, Pete's cancelled the show quite a few times before when he is sick. Who wants to go to a sick persons house, let alone have 6 people at their house when they feel like crap? Not me on either count.
