Should Folks staying in a 1Br+ DVC get free access to laundry facilities?

I'd vote for; free for everyone in studios and 2 bedrooms. Because a 2 Bedroom is comprised of a 1 bedroom and a studio. So to have 9 people be expected to use 1 machine is a little unrealistic.

Why not expand that to the Grand Villa (3BR, 12 person max occupancy) or Treehouse (3BR, 9 person max occupancy)?

I think you are only against the 1BR guests from using the shared laundry ...?

I confess that it wouldn't even occur to me to go there if I had my own machines in-unit. Though, honestly, I'd probably rather wait than schlep/babysit.

That's how I would think, too.

And having once had a whole load of laundry swiped from my apartment complex laundryroom, aka my own neighbors that I knew, I have NO interest in running that risk among strangers. Nor do I wish to sit there the whole time.

I do laundry at WDW like I clean my kitchen - I clean as I go. I don't wait until everything is dirty.

Same here. I probably did a smaller load every day or every other day at WDW. When we had the 2 bedroom with 5 other family members, they did it the same way, so the washer was running every day we were there.

To have everyone's laundry to do all at once just shows that the person should think about spreading it out a bit.

Since studios don't have a washer/dryer, then they should get priority, IMO. Why would I want to leave my 1br to do laundry down the hall? So much easier to do it in the room.
On another note, It's extremely annoying to head down to the laundry room to do your laundry and someone has put their shoes in the dryer to dry. There are signs that say not to put your shoes in.

I had a feeling when I posted this thread that it would raise quite a bit of bickering.



To clarify the laundry locations in VGC, there seems to be one facility on the 2nd floor in the front of the resort (above the entrance to California Adventure) and another on the first floor near where the DVC wing starts.
