Shorten Resort Reservation after making ADRs?

Is there any issue if I shorten my DVC resort reservation (days would drop off the front of the trip) after I have made my ADRs at 60 days prior to the original check in date? Our start date is slightly up in the air and we may not decide for sure until about 45 days prior to the trip. My banking date is a couple of months after the trip so I just need to drop the extra days more than 30 days prior to check in date.

You’ll be fine. In fact, you’ll probably get a notice in the app warning you that it’s your job to cancel the ADR’s. So you just … don’t.

Great! I just didn't want to lose the later ADRs since they would have technically been made earlier than 60 days prior to check in.

i'd be careful. a friend of mine lost all his ADRs as disney told him he was trying to game the system (book a longer trip and then shorten it right after making ADR reservations). He thought he had all his key restaurants booked and then found out he lost all of them and then had to book everything again with almost nothing available.

Did this happen recently? Maybe he should have waited a little longer to shorten the trip though if he shortened it right after he made them

he changed it well after booking ADR. I've heard it happen multiple times - where disney has said taken a hard stance on it (to avoid people gaming the system).

Yikes! Hopefully we'll get the for sure start date figured out prior to ADR day.
