May be for the resorts board but we are staying at BWV Standard view New Years week and I assume this means the "long walk" closest rooms to MGM right? Anyway can you walk from the parking area / bus stop to these rooms, or do you have to go through the BW entrance only? Also can you leace the BWV on the MGM end of the building and walk to MGM? Thanks.

If you come across the street from the bus stop & self parking there is a path, right by the bridge that goes along the water and the lawn in front of the standard view rooms. At the end of the path is a door into the hotel. It is much easier then going in from the front of the building, IMO.
Normally we valet, but when we were there in Sept., we self parked b/c it was easier because of utilizing that entrance.

Edited to add that there is also a door tat opens facing the canal and you can take that and walk right to MGM.

If you are on the second, third or fourth floors, if you use that entrance/exit you can use the steps up to those floors, they are around the corner. We stayed in 3121 one time and the stairs were across from our room. There is also an exit to the quiet pool, I think you maybe able to get to the MGM path from there, not sure. There are only 4 floors in that section, so if you are on the 5th floor, you would have to follow the first floor to the elevators.

There are exits at the end of the building that make it easy to go to MGM or to the far end of parking lot. However, none is going to be quicker to the bus than going to the lobby and exiting there.

Unless you are on the end nearest the tennis courts as many of the standard view units are. If you are, you can take the exit out to the walkway, cut across to the bus stop, it's probaly half the distance depending on where you start from.

Yes, we stayed on the 2nd floor and simply took the stairway down to the first floor. The ground level side exit is very close to the bus stop.

Its definitely much quicker to the bus stop to use the doors by the canal if you're more than halfway down the hallway from the elevators...especially if you're on the first floor because you don't have to take the elevator to the second floor to exit from the lobby. And I think the path from those doors to the bus stop is just a bit shorter than the path from the lobby to the bus stop. Just depends on where your room is. We were on the first floor last month and really enjoyed the quick walk to MGM and the bus. We only valet parked the car when we had groceries and weren't sure if we need help from bell services. We didn't, but our walk was still shorter than it would have been from the self parking lot.

If you're on the BW side of the resort, you're certainly better off using the lobby to exit.

Oh, another benefit of coming up the path by the canal to the busses...the bus driver can see if you're making a run for the bus and will usually wait!
