Have one day tickets, plan to upgrade. I've heard of long lines at ticket booth in am so was thinking of going by in eve before to upgrade tickets. Is there any cheaper short term parking (30 mins?) or a drop off area? Husband could drop me off, drive somewhere else then come back and pick me up? Do ticket booths have long lines say at 8:45? Staying off property, can't get in till 9:00.

There is a drop off where the buses go. I have not used it. I would call ahead and ask what is the best way to upgrade. They might be able to do it over the phone.:thumbsup2

I don't think you are going to make it in the evening to upgrade if you can't get there before 9pm...unless the parks are closing at 10pm that night. You will need to go to Guest Services to upgrade which doens't usually have long lines first thing in the morning.

Also, If you are upgrading existing tickets, there isn't really any reason you would need to do it in the AM. You can use your existing tickets to get into the park, and then just swing by guest relations later in the day to do your upgrade.

That was the plan I followed a couple of weeks ago. Before exiting IOA, I stopped by Guest Services to upgrade my Maple Leaf "7-day" (i.e., 14 day) ticket to a Preferred AP. The whole process took only a few minutes.

thank you for the replies. I do also plan to get express pass which I will need in am though. Don't want anything to slow me down while trying to get to forbidden journey, then plan to go straight to dragons. Is there a customer service office in that area?

Guest Relations offices are usually located in the front of the park, so no, I don't expect one to be in the middle of the park by Harry Potter. (Someone who's been more recently can probably correct me if I'm wrong.... BUT I don't think that'll be the case.)

That being said, I believe you can usually get express passes at many retail locations thruout the park, so you aren't limited to purchasing them at the front of the park.

AND.... also keep in mind that express passes are not accepted at Forbidden Journey.

There is a Guest Service booth in both Marvel and Jurassic Park but neither open until 10:00 AM. There is also a Guest Service booth near MIB in Universal Studios. that also opens at 10:00 AM so none of those will work. The Guest Service window at both parks does not open until 30 minutes before early entry.

Cut and paste this latitude/longitude into google maps (or your gps) for the best drop off for the parks:

28.471352,-81.467052

A quick 5 minute walk to the entrance of IOA
