Short stays with II

Does anyone know when we will be able to book short stays online through II? I thought it was the end of March, but it is now April 8 and nothing.

No one knows. There could be a delay, since it was suppossed to be available online. There certainly would be agreements between II and participating resorts, along with software development. Anything could delay it.

Short Stays

Short Stays are final transactions. The Vacation Points utilized for the exchange and the $75 transaction fee are forfeited if the Short Stay is cancelled.

Note: Once confirmed, Short Stays cannot be modified.




Booking Window: From 30 to 4 days before check-in date (some accommodations may be available as far as 12 months before check-in date

Short Stays
Short Stay exchanges can be booked on a 3-6 night basis.
Short Stays are booked online so you know immediately whether your request is available.
You must verify that you have enough Vacation Points in your account prior to booking.
A non-refundable $75 transaction fee is required when the exchange is made.
All exchanges are subject to availability.
Exchange guidelines are subject to change without notice.

same here... I would love to be able to use this, as we don't always plan ahead and this year at least we have about 20 points that need using, could put them towards a midweek somewhere with better weather

Here is something I posted on a similar thread.

If it does that simply close the browser page and click back to the DVC site and click the link a second time. You should then be taken to the exchange page rather than the general listing page. Make sure you keep the DVC page open and active. It also appears to time out after a few minutes and you'll have to go back through the process.

I tried every possilble combination of dates in July and Aug for NH and MA and NOTHING is available. Did someone say you an only book 30 days in advance? What a crock!

This is a new service for travel within 30 days, so you would only get availability up till mid may.

I tried check in dates from today to 30 days ahead, and NOTHING is available in MA. Then I tried random dates throughout June, July & August, nothing again. Ridiculous and disappointing.

I played with it too and found something, not that I was going to use it, but just wanted to play.

Still want to see if I can use my developer points. If not, I would hate to lose them!!!!

I tried Williamsburg for the end of August the other day when the original post went up that Short Stays were available and there was a lot of inventory for a short stay. I tried last night and there is nothing - ANYWHERE!
