Earlier this week I took DD and my niece to Universal for a couple days. We stayed at Turkey Lake Tuesday and Wednesday nights and then checked into the fort Thursday evening. We did Universal Studios Wednesday and Islands of Adventure on Thursday. The studios lines seemed to move much quicker than Islands. We did however ride everything we wanted except Earthquake because when we decided to do it, it was broken. We did Beetlejuices Graveyard Revue for the 1st time and I thought it was really funny. The puns were great. Shrek 4D was also a fun attraction.
Islands was very busy but once again we got to do almost everything we wanted. Universal has a dining plan now. For $20 I could choose between 4 restaurants and you could go thru the line as many times as you want. It was $10 for the girls. To be honest I couldn't feed them once for $10. We ate lunch in Jurassic Park and dinner at Comic Strip. My daughter wanted a entree that was for adults so I asked if I could do that without going thru twice and the girl was very accomodating. As a matter of fact both places were easy to substitute or change for us. It wasn't the best food Islands offers but it was good and like I said it would have cost more had we just bought on our own.
We checked into the fort and went over to see the campfire/movie. Niece liked what she saw so far lol. I got to introduce her to Sundee. Friday we just had lunch at Trails End and then around 6 went to the Magic Kingdom. Niece is 8 now and she was about 3 last time she went so it was a lot different type of trip for her. She was a trooper and rode all 3 mountains and got to see the Mickey show at the castle. We finally left around 12:30 a.m. and unfortunately had to come home yesterday. It was a fun week though. Niece said when we left FW, Uncle Donnie can I come again when you and Annie come back. Oh no what did I do!!!!. Looks like another fort lover. Oh and we were in site 1810. It was very easy to get my 5'er into. It's right on a corner and very open. One thing I didn't like seeing is all the cutting of foliage in between sites. They used to be so private but no more. I hear they're trying to kill the potato vines that grow all over. Good luck. They better get some high powered chemicals. Hopefully not.
