Short Hours at Disneyland September 8

Heade to the park Sept. 8 and noticed DL hours listed as 9am to 6pm. Anyone able to shed some light on why that would be so?

Until I hear otherwise, it's probably due to a private party.

My nephew is a CM there. I asked him about it and he said he will look into it and find out. As soon as I find out, will let you know

Looking at the calendar the Magic morning hours are 9am to 9am so they may change the hours at some point.

Anyone able to shed any more light on this?

Also, on early close days like this, do they just kick everyone out at 6pm, or is it the kind of deal where you get to finish out any line you're in and then linger around on main street at the shops for a while like it works with normal closing hours?

the disneyland website doesn't say anything about it. it has the hours listed as normal. Where did you see the hours posted? We're going tomorrow and I am going to be very sad if we don't get our full money's worth!!

eta just kidding. you said Sept. 8, not Aug 8. I must be tired.

Anyone heard anything that is set in stone about this? We'll be there on that day.

If I remember correctly it's a private party for the CM's. I heard this from a CM at my local Disney Store that is going to be there. From what he told me they are going to have scavenger hunt, rides running and all sorts of fun stuff going on for them. It's not a free event for them either they do have to pay for their team of 4 to get in. I can't remember how much he said it was and every team has to have a CM on it in order to participate.
