Short cut from AKL to the 192

Can anyone tell me if there is an easy short cut from AKL to the 192 westbound, or is it necessary to go east to World Drive and drop down to the 192?

When leaving AKL turn right at the first light, it will take you past a cast member rec. area and some off site hotels then to 192.

When you make that first right out of AKL you will be going South on Sherbeth Road actually behind Wide World of Sports and you will go past CM lodging and Day Care Center. When you get to RT 192 you will have to make left going East towards I-4. (Well you dont have to but most shopping/dining is that way)

Anyway OP, FYI - if you come back on Sherbeth road, as you approach the light(where you made the right hand turn to get on Sherbeth in the first place), there will be a WDW sign saying " To All guest areas turn right". If you are going back to the AKL, ignore that sign. Turn left to the AKL.

Can anyone tell me if there are traffic lights where this road meets the 192? I assume so because the 192 is busy and dual carriageway.

Yes Traffic light. Somewhat of a busy intersection but in Florida most intersections get traffic lights.

OT: Sherberth road is nowhere near Wide World of Sports.

Sherberth road is about a mile west of north-south World Drive and runs parallel if you want to call it that. WWOS is about a mile east of World Drive. It is 192 that is right behind (south of) WWOS as it runs between World Drive and I-4.

Click on link above and look at map - Osceola Parkway south on Sherbeth Road right there it says Wide World of Sports Entrance Road. I really do not make this stuff up. It is some sort of a racquetball court perhaps associated with WWOS?

Because maps aren't always right.

And BTW--there is no CM "lodging" in that area.
