This morning, I was up early (for a Sunday) and decided to hit WalMart before they got too crowded. I found 2 separate items (I'm sure there were many more) that had one price posted, yet rang up at a completely different price!

First, light bulbs. They had a huge sign above the display stating they were $1. I grabbed 2. Then, I saw a multipack of Pringle single-serves. The sign above it said 88 cents (this was an entire display of Pringle single serve, multi packs). I thought this had to be an error, so I went to the price checker and they came up as $3.98 --- a $3.10 difference. Needless to say, I put them back!

When I got to the self checkout, the lightbulbs rang up at $1.68. I asked the monitor person why they're ringing at this price when the display clearly stated they are $1. She had no idea, couldn't change it, said I have to see customer service. After I was done, I went to customer service and they gave me the bulbs for $1 and I told them about the Pringles. They had no idea why the big price boards were wrong. :confused3

Moral of the story: Wal Mart isn't the only store that does this, so you have to watch your prices as you're shopping and, more importantly, when you're at the checkout.

Second issue: What in the world happened to grocery prices???? I couldn't believe the jump in prices this week!!!! I thought it was just a few things, but it wasn't. There is a specialized pasta I use and it went up over $1 a box. Peanut butter was $5 a jar. A cereal my daughter likes went up over $1 a box. Just so many items have gone up drastically in price. I felt like I was in some kind of time warp or that I fell asleep and woke up 5 years later.

Has anyone else noticed this???

I went to a belair to buy my oatmeal. The price was 2.19 and they had one, so I went to the other belair around the corner and then noticed the price was 2.09. I went to customer service and asked if there was a price difference between the same store and she said no. So make sure if its the same store recheck the prices that way also. And I wasnt even offered my dime back. I was not going to return to the store to get my dime. Very frustrating.
