Shopping in Dowtown Disney- Lego store, etc.

Hey,
I'm new to this board but I'm leaving for Disney for the first time in my life in 4 days!!! I was wondering if you guys think it is worth it to go to downtown Disney JUST for the shopping. My husband and I have no interest in much else down there nor are we planning on eating there. But I know the huge Disney store is down there and the Lego store. My DS (age 3) loves Legos and we would like to find him something unexpected for Christmas one night when we can go off for a little while by ourselves. BUT my understading is it could take a good amount of time to make our way to dowtown Disney and back and I don't want to spend the time unless the Lego store is awesome or the shopping is worth it. Oh, we are staying at the WL. Thanks!

I can't speak for anyone but myself, and my family, but......

ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! Theres so much there for the whole family - personally, I can't wait to go to the work out store, or whatever it is to get myself some mickey running pants or something. I don't know how long it will take you to get there from WL though - hopefully someone else will be able to help you with that. Have a great trip!!!!!

We usually spend our first night there - it has a bit of Magic (World of Disney) and the lego displays and play areas are great. We have two young kids so it is a nice transition without the craziness of the parks. Of course, Ghiradellis and the Irish Pub usually get some business from us as well.

The shopping is neat, but mostly Disney related. If you are into Pin Trading, then the Outpost (or whatever it is called) is really cool.

If you have a free evening then I would say yes. The food can be a nice option too.

My dd and I went in Sept, we went to BBB, but we also went for shopping. She is not into Legos, but we love the lego store. I say it is absolutly worth it. I love going there.

We stayed at ASMo and it was not that long to get there and we were the very last stop, no matter where we went.

My husband,daughter(5) and I are leaving tomorrow for Disney.We are from Toronto and the shopping in Florida is famous over here.Where do we go? It's for regular shopping,not neccesarily disney related items.
