Hi all,

If I could have my way and had the time I would love to check out all the various shops. But then I wouldn't have any time for any of the rides :(

Do the shops have more or less the same prices or do we really need to hunt around to get the best deals?

In particular I'm looking for Mickey/Minnie stuffed for daughter and Daisy for me.
Also does anyone know if they have any DLP specific scrapbook stuff like they do at WDW?
Which shops would you recommend for having a good browse round?

Thanks,
Renate

Unfortunatly the shops more or less sell the exact same things at the exact same prices these days. You may find that an item is on sale in the Emporium and in the Disney Shop in the Village but not in one of the smaller shops in the park.

We tend to use the evening to look in the Disney Shop in the Village or browse the Emporium while Kacee naps, and they are the two I'd recommend for yourselves.

I don't know about scrapbooking I'm afraid. I beleive there are some bits but not on the same scale as at WDW.

Yes, there are a few scrapbooking bits but nothing like at WDW unfortunately. I've found things at Town Square Photography on Main Street and in the main shop (forgot what it's called) in Studio One in the Studios.

I must admit I do like checking out all the shops, including the ones at the Disney hotels even though we stay off-site!

The shops in the village are open after the park closes so you will get nearly everything in the village that you get in the parks.

Prices do not vary but there is sometimes some sale items in the shops :)

I have learnt the hard way to buy it when you see it because I never remember which shops I see things in :)

If you want to buy fragile/ breakable stuf, I can only recommend to buy it during the day, not in the evening before park closure. The shps will be very busy then, and they won't have the time to pack it as well as during the day. If you don't want to lug it around, shop before 2 (or 3?) pm, and have it delivered at one of the hotels.

Btw, if you're not staying at an hotel, pick one that will be easy for you to pick it up from, when they ask teh room nr just say that t's your first day and have no room nr yet. If they ask for a room nr again after you picked it up, say you already checked out and are about to leave That's how I do it now, we have it delivered at the hotel we'll be having dinner at/ the hotel where our car is parked.
