Shopkicks Blue Friday

For those of you who Shopkick, are you planning on hitting up any stores for Blue Friday? Do any of these walk-in values holdover until tomorrow, or do you have to get them today? I noticed I have 100 walk-ins at Target, 100 at Wal-mart, and 200 at Best Buy. Too bad I don't have a Macy's or JC Penney's on my way home or I'd be stopping in there for 200 each as well! Between walk-ins and scans for Blue Friday, I should have enough to cash in for $50 worth of Target gift cards!

Unfortunately I don't have any near me at work. I think I'll at least stop at Target, Wal-mart, and Best Buy though since they're all pretty close on my drive home. I'd be kicking myself if those walk-ins disappeared when I go out tomorrow!

Sure thing! This is the first time I've seen this run since I started using Shopkick, but I read online that they do it a couple times a year.

I stopped at target and Walmart on my way to work and may stop at some more stores on my way home if there are still walk in kicks and scans. I wish they didn't do this on a weekday. I don't care as much though since I'm making a good amount on swagbucks right now but use shopkick for the kids' Disney cruise souvenir money.

Soooo I went out today thought I would take a trip on my lunch break but decided to use 4 hours PTO and go all out. I racked up over 1300 kicks and have 149 more to go tonight. Lets just say I got my exercise today

nice! I hit up a couple on the way home, but I ran into an issue. The Target and Best Buy in my area are fairly close to each other, and when I walk into Best Buy it credits me for the walk-ins for Target, and then completely removes the Best Buy walk-ins! I missed out on the 200 walk-ins for Best Buy today as a result. I emailed Shopkick to see if they'll credit me. I was able to scan something in there at least, but it was frustrating.

I couldn't get Best Buy to work--never had that problem before. But I did get about 1100 kicks today.

I had a problem getting TJ Maxx to credit my walking, but I made a purchase and reported the problem, so hopefully I'll get credit. I have a feeling they have a backlog of issues to resolve from all the traffic they've generated today.

My friend would get credit for walk ins but when she went to scan something in the store it would say nist be in store to scan. Crazy!

I got an email back from Shopkicks already! They credited me the 200 for Best Buy with no issues. She told me the next time I was in there to refresh my location and try turning my phone off and back on. I've had this issue there before though, so I think somehow the wires are crossed between that and the Target store. I get the walk-ins there SO FAST. You know usually it always takes a minute to say "welcome, ___" and then award your points, but in there it's like lightning speed and it never even really flashes anything up. She told me in the future if I have that problem to be sure to scan something or get a receipt if I make a purchase and they can credit me the walk-ins. Nice to know they're at least responsive and helpful though!

So FYI for you all, I figured out a little trick for Shopkick today. I always see a lot of scans for Carter's, the children's clothing store. I have a Carter's near me, but I don't have kids and it might look a little weird if I'm just hanging out in a kids store scanning stuff so I've steered clear. I was in Kohl's today though and noticed that they have a large section of children's clothes that are specifically Carter brand and had a bunch of Carter's signs (even though Carter's is just across the street)! On a whim, I scanned one of the items and it worked!! So I'll definitely be stopping in there to get my Carter's kicks from now on!

I hate going in Carter's/Oshkosh with my 10 and 11 year olds to scan, but I've gotten a ton of kicks there. I will have to give this a try but I thought they now only allowed scanning if you were in the right store (so I can't scan ice cream at Target that is only under Walmart's scans).

That's what I thought too, but 50 shopkicks later I'm going to milk that for all its worth lol! I only wish I'd known this sooner as I often see 250 scans there. I don't know if it's something specifically with my Kohl's since it was like a full blown Carter's section, not just some Carter's kids clothes mixed in with the other clothes. I've never had walk-ins or scans come up for Kohl's either.
