Shopaholic Goes Disney.... A Pre-Trip Report (Updated 12/26)

Mindy-

I wanted a BIG pregnant belly. It was my first time around so I wanted the world to know I was expecting. I was so disapointed when I was 6 months along and you couldn't even tell.

Wish I had the same problem when I was preggo--- nope, I was HUGE, all belly but you couldn't miss it at all!! But now that I know I am done having kids, what I would give for that big belly again!! :goodvibes

I know!! I want one more!! But, dh says no way!! Bella~ get ready---the next one shows a little quicker!! With my boys, I was straight out-like a basketball or an egg. You couldn't even tell from behing I was expecting--even at the end. But my daughter laid lower and from hip-to-hip. Lots of people said they couldn't tell with her either, but I could see a difference. and I didn't gain hardly any weight with any of them. Thank you Lord !! And I felt like I ate a lot!! Except with #3 and I was sick. But, I did drink loooootttsss of water with them. I was afraid I had Gest. Diab. because I was so thirsty. But I was more thirsty than hungry. Isn't that weird? I also drank lots of lemonade and ate a ton of watermelon:laughing:  Fruit was especially good because it was wet/juicy--more drink!!!

Bella, I forgot to put it on the snowbirds, but your little sister is beautiful. &yes, she would have been perfect for Snow White!!

Thanks! I'm just nuts about my baby sis and her moving to NO is like losing a best friend. Sadly, I am not as close to the middle sis.:sad2:

I also drank LOTS of water when I was pregnant. Just in a night alone I would go through 4 or 5 bottles of water.

Hey Bella~ What luggage are you bringing? I have a Vera Bradley satchel that I use for weekend trips, but bigger luggage for vacation. I was just looking at the Large Duffel(Puccini) and it works as a carry-on. What do you think of her luggage? I think the rolling suitcases are cute, but they don't seem as roomy as our regular suitcases.

did you get the Puccini hipster or are you still debating? I can't decide if I want that or the backpack. We do have 3 kids!!!!! As far as jackets, we usually leave them in the stroller if it gets warm and nobody ever bothers them. But, really I just need wipees, germ-X and a camera. Would it fit in the hipster? Oh, I keep up with all the kids tickets-I don't know about them putting it in their lanyard. But with the EMH being weird, I may just copy the #s off the back and go for it.

We just have plain Jane black luggage. I've never really looked at luggage.

I did buy the Puccini Hipster and the All-In-One Wristlet. I think everything would fit into your Hipster. I have an enourmous camera and it fits. I'm going to attach the wristlet to the side to hold my cards, cell phone and lip gloss.:goodvibes

Ooohhh!! Good Idea! I may have to borrow that from you! I really need to get to our VB store and look around!! Our lady offers lay-a-way!!!! Isn't that great?! I want to get my mom some more for her birthday and I need to get busy!! I just love that stuff!! I bought a D&B purse back in the summer and it's sooo cute. But girl, that thing kills my back-right between my shoulder blades. PAIN!! That's one reason I love the VB stuff--it's so lightweight.

My boys each have a large suitcase in their fav color (oldest one is red, next one is blue--they are like twins, I do everything for them by color!) so they have plenty of room for all their stuff. Dh has a HUGE suitcase and he still can't hardly get it all in there!!! My dd has a smaller one of her own, but it manages to work. I just hate the one I have---it's an old one from Wal-Mart I have had for about 10 years, but I don't have to worry about the airline marring it. If I bought a VB I would faint if they tore it up!!!! I just let these small things get me in a quandry!!! Oh well, I shall go shop for my mom and see what works for me!! I have plenty of time, but I like to be DECIDED!!

You may now return to your regularly scheduled PTR!

Here's me:

At 6 months.... and I wanted so badly to look pregnant. I would always rub on my belly and try to divert attention to it. Looking back, I just laugh. I so did not look pregnant.

A few days before I delivered. As big as I would get.

You are simply gorgeous! Your belly was perfect!

It got a point with my belly, that I was able to place my dinner plate on top of it and eat comfortably (that's a mental picture that most people don't want to have. It wasn't that I was hugely fat. It was that I'm only 5 ft tall carrying a baby that was more than 1/3 of my length :lmao:

Back to your PTR . . . what other purchases do you have to make yet? Can't wait to see what else you get!

Awww, you look beautiful pregnant!!! :goodvibes I'm with Mindy--- I could place things on my belly for later..hehee!! And unfortunately, I have the stretch marks to prove it. UGH!!! Oh well, have three BEAUTIFUL sons for it, it's sooo worth it!! :rotfl:

Alright... enough of this :offtopic: baby stuff.

(I love talking babies and can't wait to get pregnant again.... but that's another story.:cutie: )

 I'll update on my latest purchases tommorow.

By the way you were gorgeous pregnant!! AHHHH!!

You were so teeny! I was the size of a Mac truck when pregnant!

:sad2: The Last Night:sad2:

The dining plans for our final evening have gone as follows:

-Teppan Edo (Scratch that…..we have one here in town. It is one of our favorite local restaurants and we wanted to try something different.)

-Le Chef’s De France (Scratch that # 2. Upgraded to Deluxe DP and we want to do a Signature Dining on our last evening.)

-Artist Pointe (Nix that # 3. They say 3rd time is a charm, but I wasn’t all that charmed by this menu. Sorry AP Lovers!:confused3 )

And the winner of the moment is……..

:cheer2: Narcoossee’s:cheer2:

We’ve never dined at the Grand Floridian. DH has never even been inside. I LOVE lobster. DH is too cost-friendly to splurge on lobster. (When we eat at Red Lobster with his parents I have to order an appetizer as my entrée’.)

Good gravy…. I’m on vacation and I’m getting my lobster!!!:yay:

P.S. There is something you should know about my sweet, darling husband. He is a P-E-N-N-Y P-I-N-C-H-E-R.

(In fact, just last night he was trying to talk me into changing our resort in order to save money. :scared1: No way buddy! I've been waiting a long time to stay at the Wilderness Lodge.:snooty: )

I, on the other hand like to enjoy myself, as you can tell. I'm not an excessive spender by any means, but I do believe in splurging every once in a while. This should make for an interesting trip.

I can just see it now.....

Me: Yes, Belle does need ALL of these Princess Costumes.

DH: Can't we just buy her a Princess t-shirt at Walmart?

Back to dinner....

Here’s what I plan on having at Narcoossee’s. (I just love typing that word!)

My Starter:
Fried Calamari chili-garlic coleslaw and fire roasted corn tartar sauce

Entrée:
Steamed Whole Maine Lobster - potato gratin and steamed baby broccoli

Dessert:
Warm Chocolate Almond Gateau - with vanilla bean whipped cream

And now for the good stuff:

The official last night outfit-

Looks like I’ve got more shopping to do.

Until next time…….

Mmmm..sounds delicious!!:thumbsup2 We went there on our honeymoon and it was spectacular!!!! We loved the Butternut squash soup (not sure it's still even on the menu??) and haven't found another one like it, ever!! And now with three little rugrats, I mean, boys, not sure when we'll get back there. Maybe when they are teenagers......maybe! :rotfl:

Love the outfit, the shoes make it really stand out. And are those new jeans I spy?? :goodvibes

Can't wait to see the new accessories when you've figured it all out!!:flower3:

princess:

I love the outfit...and the dinner sounds so good!! You're hubby and my hubby must read the same hubby manuals!! Mine is very frugal so I tend to be very frugal...unless of course its for a hunting trip then he lets the money flow..but those only happen every 2-3 years!!

But he's not a big spender so when he does I'm like  !!! I'm sure your little girl dressed as a princess will melt that pennypinching heart LOL!! And hopefully he'll just cave and buy them all instead of you having to LOL!!
