Okay, I know shoes have been covered and I have read about Crocs and Tevas...but haven't seen anyone mention Birkenstock Birki's...the water resistant all non leather sandal. I am trying to make a decision and was wondering if anyone has these how they compare comfort wise to regular birkenstock footbed birks - which is what I already own. But I am not too comfortable wearing my Birks in the rain or on water rides. It has been engrained in me since I bought these almost a decade ago to not go jumping through puddles and use my cork sealer and I am one geek who has, religiously, lol. Now, my DH will wear his in the water - but I just won't.
So, I have been trying to find some sandals for the family that are more water resistant. I am really thinking my DD (3) will like the birki's because she already has a pair of Teva's and they aren't her faves. I only have a pair of Reef's and I like them, but don't know about wearing them in the parks. They are old, from maybe 93 I think. Back when the only Tevas I ever saw were the flat sole hurricane ones.
Anyways! I tend to tangent. I have heard great reviews on Tevas either Pretty Rugged Nylon or Terra-Fi and those are the two I am looking at and going to go try on soon.
But I am also interested in these Birkis and just looking for any comments from any who may already own a pair.
Thanks a Bunch!
