:) I assure you all this is not a thread about what shoes to where to the parks. I know that, Teva's are my shoe of choice....

Today, as I sat in the waiting room at the doctors office (DS has strep) I thumbed through a Town and Country Magazine. Very high end mag. I saw a really cute pair of orange strappy sandles that caught my eye. I thought I could use those, when I don't know, but I may need them sometime...until I read the price tag of $465. yes four-hundred and sixty five dollar sandals. (Manalo Blahnik) ( isn't that what Kerry wears on Sex in the City?)

Question....how much is too much for a pair of shoes. What is the most you would pay??? I am pretty sure $465 is above my budget....

LOL!!! $465? That just a little out of my budget too.

But I guess the most I have paid is approx $225....I hate to pay that much though because I am pretty hard on my shoes. Besides, I get faves and live and die in them it seems! I've seen those MB shoes and frankly...my feet aren't shaped like those!:Pinkbounc

For a pair of sandals? They'd have to be very special and unique for me to spend over $45.00 I would pay $100.00 for a pair of boots, or really, really cool, unique shoes, but not sandals. There are way to many cute sandals out there for low prices. :) Names, whether on shoes or clothes, mean nothing to me. I can't tell one brand or name from another. :)

Edited to add this:
If someone wants to spend that kind of money on sandals, I say go for it! Life is too short not to enjoy it! :)

The most I have spent on myself for shoes is about $80. I have spent more than that on DS's soccer cleats though - would you believe $150.00 for those.

$465 for sandals - yea everybody needs a pair of those, hey a pair in every color.

Most I've ever paid for shoes was $100 for a good pair of hiking boots. Otherwise I hate paying much over $40 for normal shoes. I will admit to paying $70 for Tevas (they last FOREVER though) and $75 for good running shoes. I only buy those every once in a while though.

For the first time in my life I paid over $100 for a pair of shoes when I bought Birkenstocks. They are worth every penny. :):):)

not more than 150.00 and that is on high end for me. i usually spend about 60.00 on my shoes for work.

LOL - You say that like it is a bad thing.

I don't think I'd ever spend over $100 on shoes, and I usually spend much less. I love shoes, and I buy good brands, but I'm the queen of finding things on sale. I'm really excited now that I had a baby and my feet grew. I used to wear a 5-1/2, and that size was frequently gone by the time the shoes went on sale. I think that I can manage a 6 or 6-1/2 now, so I should be able to find more shoes. :)

My feet are wide and I have thick ankles, so I have very hard to fit feet. I get most of my shoes from the Easy Spirit shoe store. I guess the most I have paid for shoes is a little over $100.

I've paid over $100 each for 2 pair of winter boots...good sorel ones. They are outstanding boots...1 pair is over 12 years old and going strong, the other is 5 years old and look brand new. And nice and toasty warm!

I would be surprised if I would ever pay more than that on any pair of shoes. I guess if I had it to blow I wouldn't think about it twice though.

I paid $500 for a pair of boots once. DH went insane, I mean absolutely freaked out over it! I considered taking them back, but he told me to keep them but just to never do that again.

I love shoes, they are my weakness in life. Hey I don't drink or do drugs or eat too much, I have to have some vices, right? :) I normally pay around $75 for my shoes, sometimes a little more or less.

That is a big celebrity brand. I guess it is all relative to how much money you make. I always wonder if I was filthy, rotten, not have to worry about money rich if I would still be frugal? I don't usually pay more than $40 for a pair of shoes. I'm a big sale shopper, got $78 loafers for $4.50. I'll shop Payless if I see something cute that is a knockoff. I love those Land's End slip on shoes, I have leather ones I wear to work all the time. I have to run up and down four flights of stairs all day, I need comfort not fashion - lol! I'm not a shoe person, if it looks halfway decent I'll buy it.

I have to add the $465 shoes were in the ad with a $1650 white bcotton blouse. So I guess it is all relative.

I paid $80 for my Tevas for last summers's WDW trip. Well worth it.
