Whle at Disney did you put them in socks and good walking shoes or sandals??

I would think the sandals would be cooler right? Especially since they ride in stroller so much not like they are walking all day.

Yeah that was what got me thinkin' :flower: I would think maybe with older kids it would be bad blisters or they'd complain. But if they are comfy and well broke in it shouldn't matter right?

Just make sure they are GOOD shoes. I wouldn't try out payless for the trip (now, there is nothing wrong with payless) they are a little stiffer and hard to break in. Land's end has some great water shoes this season - my son then 2.5 walked all day in them. Plus, we did have our stroller too so actually he did not do THAT much walking.

P.S. If you do counter service lunch - the kids can always barefoot it inthe stroller for a while.

I personally like to get my kids real leather sandals with the suade padding on the inside for the bottom of the feet. I think they are the most comfortable and absorb any sweat-sure the good quality ones are a little pricey, but I think it's worth it, and this is coming from someone who buys mostly used clothes to save money. I just think good footwear is soooo important, especially at WDW! I don't know any particular brand though, i just go shopping at a local shoe store near us that is huge and has a really big kid section with really good quality shoes. I have to second what RichNkatholly said about the payless shoes.

But, I'll probably bring sneakers for our trip too, because sometimes it's good to switch for a little while and good sneakers do generally have more support than sandals.

We got our kids water sandels from StrideRite. They didn't get blisters, and my 5 year old walked for the whole week - no stroller! They were perfect for the water rides and splashes in the water at Epcot and AK. I think each pair was around $22.00. Well worth it!
