Shoebuy no longer gives E-Bates?

I made a purchase through E-Bates a month ago with ShoeBuy where I was given the 10% new user sign-up discount. I never received an E-Bates credit and here is what they just told me about the purchase:

"it has been determined that your order was not credited to Ebates. Any other promotional discounts used during this purchase may over ride the eligibility to earn Ebates cash-back. In this case, the use of a non-Ebates coupon/discount overrides the eligibility to earn Ebates cash-back."

I made a purchase on 10/7 with a coupon code+10% discount and still received an E-Bates credit. Does anyone know if ShoeBuy has suddenly changed what they are doing so that you will no longer get E-Bates if you have coupon codes?

I made my first ebates purchase with shoebuy about a month ago and was given credit. Sounds like the codes you used somehow cancelled your ebate credit??? Interesting.

I ordered Crocs with a code on 11-2-07 and got the ebates discount on 11-4-07, the day they were shipped.

I ordered again yesterday using an email link from ShoeBuy for $10 off a $30 purchase and got the discount within an hour of placing the order.

What code did you use? Maybe some of the other sites who have site-specific codes complain because they don't want to give up their affiliation fee?

you know I had a bunch of credits deducted from my ebates account and I bet this was what it was...

We here at Ebates are very sorry to hear that you had this trouble. Ebates is a great shopping program that allows you to earn cash back while you shop online. However, our program does have a few rules. One thing to look out for is coupons that are not listed on the Ebates site. If you use a coupon code found elsewhere, Ebates may not earn credit for the purchase. Therefore, we would have no funds to pass along to you as Cash Back.

Ebates members can still earn Cash Back at ShoeBuy in the Ebates program.

Sincerely,

Ebates Customer Care

From what I've found, if it's a code directly from shoebuy.com, it's fine. I'm thinking that the codes people use from MSN.com, etc. are probably the ones not allowing the ebate because shoebuy is paying MSN for advertising.

I used a code that I got directly in an e-mail from ShoeBuy and I still didn't receive a credit from E-Bates. In the past I did the same thing and was given an E-Bate credit. It sounds like what they are saying is that if the coupon code isn't on the E-Bates website then you won't receive an E-Bate for the purchase that you make.
