I know I have brought this up in the past and only got a few opinions but would like more...What shoes have worked best for you for all the walking. Can't stand the throbbing, hot feet. Same with childrens shoes,my poor DD5 feet get so hot. :cool1:

We went in September and I wore my Croc flip flops the entire time. The one time I tried to wear slip on sneakers they killed my feet & I said no more!! Not sure what I'll wear in January - guess it'll depend on the weather....:rolleyes1

I wear sneakers on my trips to WDW. I usually bring two pairs of shoes (usually two pairs of sneakers but sometimes I bring a pair of sandals instead). I like to bring two pairs of shoes in case of set turns out to be uncomfortable or a pair gets wet or something else happens to a pair. I wear sneakers because I find them comfy. I must admit that WDW is one of the few places where I dress for comfort. If I am comfy, I don't care what people think of my shoes (or clothing) choices.

I bring 2-3 pairs of shoes with me. One pair of broken-in New Balance lightweight running shoes (even though I don't run), one pair of waterproof Teva strap-on sandals and maybe a pair of Crocs. I don't think the Crocs give as much support as my Tevas do. I change off on the shoes I wear so I don't get any "hot spots".

My DH brings whatever sneakers he currently has, and his Tevas.

My DD brings whatever sneakers she currently has (very cute slip-on Vans right now), her Tevas *and* her Crocs chocked full of Jibbitz.

I switched daily between teva's and 2 pair of sneakers. No problems with my feet. Hubby wore 2 pair of sneakers, one pair was very worn and not too becoming, but comfy.

I also take 2-3 pair of shoes...at least I have up to this point. My brand of running shoe varies from one year to the next since it seems like whenever they change styles, the fit changes for me. I'll wear my Teva strap-on sandals if I'm expecting my feet to get wet. I also have Naots that I love and would wear 365 days a year if it never got too cold for them. This past trip, I wore my Tevas one day and never put on the tennis shoes. Naots rule :cool1:

Actually switching between a couple pairs has been the best thing for me. This past summer we were there for 8 days, I wore my pedometer and we walked 47 miles over those 8 days. I alternated my shoes...one day I wore my Nike's (Air Zoom....very soft and flexible, yet a supportive sole) and the next I would wear my Crocs Cayman.....this seemed to work very well for me. I also brought a pair of Nike flip flops that I just love, and would wear those to the pool.

Each night I would ice my feet and rub them down with Ben Gay. Between that and Advil, my feet held up wonderfully! No pain, no troubles what-so-ever.

I always wear my very broken in tennis shoes, DS wears his Crocs or flip-flops, and DH wears his sandals. Basically what I've found for us to wear whatever comfy broken in shoes we normally wear. Do not wear brand new shoes. Even if they look horrible, well worn comfortable shoes are the best thing.

I always wear Teva sandals or my Crocs flip-flops -- no matter what the weather is!

We,too, used to wear sneakers but hated how hot are feet got. Now we all wear Teva flip-flops. Never was much of a flip-flop wearer but these are soooo comfy; the style we wear are the "Mush". Comes in adult and children sizes. We wear them no matter what the temp.!

The best tip I gleaned from the DIS was to bring along 2-3 pairs of shoes, and alternate between them each day. That way your feet won't be "worn" in the same place day after day. It worked like a dream.

I brought my LL Bean crocs, slide sneakers & teva sandals and used them all. The crocs worked the best, but only after I used the Band-Aid blister protection stick on my feet. These shoes had not bothered my feet in over 5 months of wear, but decided on rubbing towards blisters our first day at WDW! Go figure.

I never thought I'd say this, but Crocs have revolutionized my ability to stand and walk for 10 - 14 hours per day at WDW without hurting myself.

I'm a big person, about a size 22, and before Crocs even the most highly touted pair of $125 shoes with insoles would only get me through about 8 hours comfortably.

For $21 per pair, shipped, from shoebuy.com with their coupons and "member" specials, the Crocs are a godsend to my legs and my wallet.

Please excuse my shoe ignorance....what are tevas?

Wore a pair of Lacoste tennis shoes for the first week before giving in to unfashionability and buying a pair of Crocs - by far the best decision i've made!!

I took 2 pair of Crocs and a pair of Teva flip flops. I changed shoes every day. Never had any trouble the whole trip. I bought my DGDs Disney Crocs while we were in WDW and they wore them the whole time and they had no trouble either! They just loved wearing them!

Crocs!

I also like light sneakers with light socks (the kind with drimax or some other kind of wicking fabric), and this year I plan to try Teva Sandals.

I ususally wear sneakers during the day when we are going at a more frenetic pace and my chaco sandals in the evening when we are at a more lesiurely pace. I always take two pairs of sneakers and enough socks to have two pairs per day. My wife does the same and she owns crocs but hasn't tried them at WDW. I don't have crocs, I've tried them on but can't seem to find one them fits my wide feet well.
