Shocking quote from the WDW boards

Im biest toward DL, but Ive never been to WDW so there you go, to each his or her own.

Hey, I like the Storybook Canals, especially at night when the arches are all lit up. :)

I'm so confused...what Pirate ride were they talking about? Because it wasn't POTC! There is only 1 place where there is "nothing to see" and that's at the beginning as you're going around the bend, you can hear the skull talking but can't quite see him......

Pixie, I also have a fond spot in my heart for the Storybook ride at night...

I think the original poster was referring to the pacing of DL's POTC, which I think is perfect. My feeling about WDW's POTC (which I just rode) was that it was squeezed in. The scenes were not coming at a good pace. The only thing I preferred there was the large treasure room for the last Depp figure. The last time I rode DL's POTC (which was maybe a year ago), he was in a much smaller room. But all in all, DL's version is far superior.

I just love it there...that's where I want DBF to propose, if he ever decides to, which is doubtful at this point. LOL We've been together almost 7 years.....lol

More comparisons that have been missed:

The Magic of Disney Animation. Much, much better at DL. The themeing of the rooms plus the zoetrope. Outstanding.

TurtleTalk: probably equal

Finding Nemo: Subs is a more elaborate ride, but I must admit the effect of the animation swimming in the big tank at WDW is killer.

Innoventions: much better at WDW.

I know these two are technically similar, but comparing the subs at DL to the whatever it is at Epcot is like comparing a Viper to a Yugo. Yes, they are both cars, but one is a completely different beast. The Nemo subs were much more immersive (pun intended) than the ride at Epcot. I enjoyed it immensely and look forward to riding it again. The only negative is the slow-loading nature of the subs.

And really Innoventions is much in FL, but it is still a shell of what it was in the Communicore days.

I agree with you. Still, I really want to ride FN at WDW again so I can verify what I saw on my first visit. I couldn't believe my eyes. The final effect of the animated characters swimming in the huge aquarium was astonishing. I still don't know how they did it. It doesn't last for long, but it was a spectacular effect. Unlike the video screens buried into fake rocks (which is most of the ride), these animated characters seemed to swim freely in open water for the final segment.

Have you gone on Space Mtn at DL in the last three years? It was vastly improved.
Yes, last year and I was dizzy after the ride, but the roughest one is the Disneyland Resort Paris one.
