Shocked TTC didn't show up!!

Called to confirm the day before our flight and everything was A O.K. ! Our flight arrived a little late, but that is why they take flight #'s. TTC was not anywhere to be found, Happy Limo was there with their sign with the smiley face and all I could think about was Beverly Lynn and this was the service she uses!! Tried to call TTC there was no answer!! I can't believe this is happening and at the same time a driver from American Limo is looking for his party. He also tries to call TTC for me because I have my DS with special needs with me who I cannot leave unattended. Still no answer at TTC. The driver from American Limo ends up taking us to the BWI because his party never shows up either. I still am very surprised they were not there and I know everyone loves them and I have had good experiences with them as well!!
 
Looks like what some people should do is carry the TTC number with them (like you did) and also carry another limo serice (like Happy Limo) number with them just incase TTC does not pick them up or just to avoid all that book Happy Limo (per Beverly Lynn).
 

Yikes, what a horror story!
We had that happen to us on the Chicago home-to-airport leg of the DCL/WDW trip we just returned from. We ended up driving to the airport and just barely managed to make our flight.
Fortunately, we had Happy Limo booked in Orlando and they were there, as always (we have used them several times before and they are always reliable). I can't even imagine having the towncar not going up...since we were going to Port Canaveral first, our only option would have been the DCL buses.

Thank you, thank you for your post! I hadn't seen any no show posts about TTC in the past month and was starting to get comfortable enough with using them that I was TODAY going to make my ressies with them.

NO WAY, NO HOW. Everybody can rave and rave all they want, I'm not risking it. I too am traveling with a disabled child, two of them to be exact.

I empathize with your situation and I'm so glad for you that American Limo was there for you!!

Now I guess that I'll need to do even more research before scheduling my Nov ground transfers :(

BTW, how was American (besides being a life saver) Did he offer to give you a Grocery stop and what type of car did you have? Did you use them in your return trip? Thanks for all your help.
BTW, as someone has also inquired about, have you tried to contact TTC since you came home, and what was their excuse?/Responce
 
We also had several problems with TTC on our trip in August..this was the second time that they really messed up so we will not be using them again!!!

I have just read too many horror stories and know a few people personally that have had so many problems with tiffany that I started to use Happy Limo on the advice of a fellow TA. and eeryone that I have used them for has been satisfied.
 
we also got "stood up" by tiffany towncar this past june - i had confirmed with TTC the day before & they were well aware of our arrival the next day (we had used TTC several times in the past 3 years with no problems) - unfortunately, upon arrival, there was no one from TTC - i called, but got a message that their phone # had been changed!!! (all in 24 hours???) called the new # & got another message to the effect "your business is important to us, please leave your name & number, and someone will get back to you" (can you believe this??!!) i waited a 1/2 hour, still no one showed up - took mears to ASMO - left many, many message from my room at ASMO to TTC - no one called me back to apologize or even acknowledge this situation (i never did get a "live" person whenever i called during that entire week) - we were supposed to have TTC drive us back to airport at end of week, but arranged with mears instead - upon being home, called TTC yet again several times, no answer, no nothing - using happy limo when we return next month to WDW - obviously the level of service at TTC has gone straight down the toilet - their lack of responding to my many phone calls (both at ASMO and also once home) shows total unprofessionalism and a lack of service level that we will never again deal with - have heard of others complain of the same thing during the past few months (regarding TTC being "no shows") so we will go with happy limo this time - would never trust TTC again
 
My driver from American limo had a Town Car. He also asked what TTC charged me and gave me the same price. They offer a grocery stop as well. I did not try to contact TTC, but used American Limo for the return trip, and TTC did not show up for that leg either. I tend to just solve the problem and move on so I will not waste time contacting TTC. I need transfers for my MIL in Dec. and I was going to use TTC but now I am not sure who I will use. I did feel that American Luxury Towncar Service of Orlando bailed me out of a BAD situation. If anyone wants the # it is 1-888-666-4112. With the new check in situation at the airport I don't know if I will be able to travel alone with my special needs son unless the driver can walk my luggage in for me, now that would be a new valuable service!! :)
 
Count me in as one of the "stood up" customers for Tiffany Towncar. We waited over an hour in July. I called the 800 # with no answer. I got the local number from 411 and was told someone should be there in 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes, my husband called them back and demanded immediate service. A driver appeared a few minutes later. I do have to be fair and say that Tiffany only charged us for a one way trip. Mistakes happen, I understand, but I'll try another car service next time.
 
:) Just bumping for people considering TTC, be prepared with a backup plan.
 
I've used Tiffany's loads of time and so have many of my friends and co-workers. They have NEVER been late, NEVER not showed up. They have always been very very good. My flights have been late (up to 2 hours) and once our flight was actually 20 minutes early. They were there each time.

Everyone has problems once in a while. Maybe the normal dispatcher was ill, maybe a car broke down, who knows what happened. I make mistakes too. Who is perfect?

I'm sticking with Tiffany's. Just like I keep going back to WDW - even though some cast members there have been rude at times and even though my room wasn't perfect a few times. I acknowledge that everyone is not perfect but just because somebody makes a mistake a few times, I do not try to influence other people not to use them.

If Tiffany's or Happy Limo or any other service didn't show up when I had them booked and I had trouble getting ahold of them on the telephone, I would probably do what others here have done ... find another way to the resort. However, I would keep on trying until I got to talk to someone at Tiffany's. I can totally understand being upset, but every side has a story. I think you should try to resolve what happened with Tiffany's (even if it takes 10 times to get them on the phone) and only then would I publicly blast them if they didn't make amends.

I am just posting an experience that everyone is entitled to hear. I want to hear all experiences so that I can be prepared if something should go wrong on my trip. I too had great luck with TTC until this last trip. I feel who ever you book you should have a plan in place in case they don't show up. You could always call and tell TTC what is being said about them on the internet, I don't have time. Maybe some bad experiences have not been posted because people blast those who post them.

I don't have unreal expectations or think one incident makes a bad Limo service, but I do think some people like to hear all sides of a trip experience. :)
 
in defense of TTC, at least for LAST week. Our driver Daniel seemed very frustrated. Like many other folks he had been working lots of extra shifts and hours. He mentioned many folks who called to reschedule pickup times, and didn't show up.... including several 4 and 5 am folks who didn't meet TTC at all.

I don't think anything defends a no- show JMHO. What happened last week should not have affected me as our trip dates were 9-5 to 9-10. I am sure there is an explanation, but it wouldn't matter now anyway. I would always wonder if it would happen again. I honestly felt like everyone else did about TTC and reccomended them to everyone! :)
