Just wondering what to do in port with my 2 year old? Any beaches, sight seeing, shopping, trolley rides ect. that would keep my little guy interested?
We took our guy in a stroller with us while we shopped/walked the streets. He still does the early afternoon nap, so it was perfect as he fell asleep in the stroller.
DCL has strollers on board for free. You have to go to Guest Services early upon boarding the ship and get one for the week, as they run out fairly quickly (only have a limited number). It's yours for the week, just make sure to return it or you get charged $100
Hi Rachel,
You can take your little one anywhere as long as you have a stroller - you have the aquarium right there at Mallory Square, you have the butterfly farm at the South end of Duval Street - you have Bayview Park which is at the "end" of Truman Avenue as you are leaving Key West, as for the beaches, I believe Clarence Higgs beach is better for kids - South beach has too much "explosure" and so does the beach of the South side of the blvd. There really isn't too much for children, unfortunalty, in Key West - there is always the chickens that I understand are being "evicted" - that are a stitch to watch.
I have a bunch of information on Key West if you are interested that the only cost involved is the stamps and large envelope - it has stuff to do and coupons that help.
If I can help further, just drop me a note at snelsonbrown@aol.com.
Take care and safe
Always
Shirley
