Ships WIFI

Hello all, From your experience with the Disney ships would you say that all the ships have same WIFI service? A few years back my daughter did an online class on the Wish. I was a bit nervous but she was able to get all assignments done and communicate with her teachers. My other child now is in the same boat but, we will be sailing on the Fantasy. We would get them the premium wifi and streaming. I was just wondering if anyone had any recent experience with The Fantasy.

I believe all Disney ships use Starlink now, so the wifi experience should be prettys similar. Keep in mind that any wifi is subject to signal strength (similar to how cell phones can have better/worse signal depending on their location).

I got internet on the fantasy in January. Just the basic package, but it worked great.

DCL Wi-Fi packages are “okay” but do not expect top-speed even on ships with Starlink. For reference I flew from Europe on an A350 with Starlink and it was amazing, 110 Mbit/s download speed, I felt at home. On the other hand, DCL will cap you around 6Mbit/s, regardless of your plan — the non-streaming plan won't allow you to access some websites such as Netflix, but will give you the same speed.

For anything basic no worries that will do just fine.
