Shipping Merchandise From Resort

Hello!

We recently were staying at the beach club and bought alot of merchandise at the parks so we shipped it home instead of bringing it on the plane. Typically how long does it take to receive the merchandise? We are still waiting for it?

I think it depends on the shipping method and the distance the package needs to travel. We shipped a package home UPS from POR once. It took about a week to reach our home in California.

We shipped our items from the GF on our last day there. It took about 7-9 days to reach us at home in Texas. We used UPS Std. Ground shipping.

Thanks for the responses! We are hosting a party next Sat and were going to use some of the souveniors we bought as prizes so we have been anxiously awaiting the delivery!

I am not sure it is by weight, but by number of items or total cost overall. I was told it takes 7 to 10 working days to receive ground packages. I had all my purchases except photos shipped home as this was the easiest option. I am still waiting but It hasn't been 7 working days yet. . .lol

It was not by weight, it was based on the dollar amount you spent. We had over $450 dollars of merchandise and it cost $34.00 dollars to ship...not bad at all

Wow, that's not really bad at all. Especially since $450 worth of stuff would probably make your luggage heavy anyway and they would charge you for that. Thanks!

You can have items shipped from the shops or you can arrange them to be shipped from some of the resorts. I have used the Business Centers at the Swan, CSR, and CR to ship stuff. I just take everything over there, they box it up (they have all items needed, tape, boxes, bubble wrap, eco wrap, etc for a fee) and arrange for shipping. The business centers do UPS, USPS, and FedEx. I do UPS ground and it has taken anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks, depending on where I was living at the time.

I don't know if any of the other resorts do shipping, since there is a convention center at the GF, I think they would have a business center, too.

I do believe there is a UPS store close buy that you can use yourself if you have transportation!

Okay, either I was extremely fortunate, or the Beach Club Concierge desk did not handle me correctly,.....



I just walked up with a large shopping bag with all my stuff in it: frames, mugs, collectibles, stuffed guys., and said "can you ship this for me?"

The nice gal behind the counter said "sure", she took my bag, no receipts, no questions. The charge on my bill was a straight shipping charge of $18.50, by weight, UPS, and I had my stuff back in WI in 10 days. They packed, bundled it and boxed it for me.

This was in February 2008.

We always ship our stuff on our last day and it arrives just 2-3 days after we get home (to Indiana) . We always ship UPS from the front desk of our resort. The WL did it by total dollar amount ($350-$400.....was $20-$22 UPS) and the Poly was by weight (2-3 medium-large size boxes & a poster tube.....was $23 UPS). But I guess it depends on where it's being shipped to for price and time frame to get it. We've always gotten boxes from the gift shop or front desk and they supplied us with packaging tape and they print out the shipping labels.....very convenient . Disney makes it way too easy to spend money since you don't have to worry about how to get everything home .
