The $20 each way to "purchase" a bag credit with the airlines irritates me, ALOT! (Southwest is just too far to drive for us all the time.)

Who has "shipped" their luggage to WDW? How did it go, who did you use, what was the cost? I hate to think about spending $120 to take 3 suitcases on a plane.

Thanks!

It's not cheap. You REALLY pay for the convenience.

There is a chart on seatguru comparing the pricing of various shipping methods: http://www.seatguru.com/articles/luggage_shipping_services.php

A compromise would be shipping down one box of lightweight but bulky items, so that you can take nothing with you but carryon baggage. Using a cardboard box instead of a suitcase will save you several pounds.

It will be cheaper for us to use the post office. We figured 50lbs in the same size box as the checked luggage sizes. (Not sure if we can find that size box, but that was the measurements we put in.)
