Shipping home from Disney

Has anyone tried to ship the items they bought (specifically lightsabers) home from their resorts. I know people in the US can but I'm wondering if the same applies for us Canadians.

Sorry, don't know about shipping home the lightsabers but my kids were allowed to fly home with them. We brought them on as carry on and had no problem at security or with the airline.

That is an option but because the size of them isn't really convient so I'd prefer to ship them home if possible and then use our carrybon allowance for actual carry on bags.
