Many people have told me I can ship a package to myself to the hotel (Value Movie Resort) and it will be there for me when I arrive. Treats and stuff like that for the kids. Have you done this? It seems so simple and make so much sense, i'm wondering why I never did this before. THANKS.

We just got back this week and have had no problem mailing things to our hotel. We mailed a package to OKW and sent another right before we left home to Pop for our stay there. They have always delivered them to our room for us. I hate to deal with a lot of luggage with 4 kids so I mail a big box with all kinds of stuff to the hotel ( Weight this time was 30lbs. each.) I have found for me Fedex is cheaper than UPS. But I like not having to deal with it.
I dont think you will have any problem if you decide to send one.

I just did it in July. Shipped 12x12x12 box, weight 12 lbs. UPS for 10.58. I sent it on a Thurs. and it arrived on Mon. Our check in day was Fri. When we checked in they gave us a paper with number to call & have delivered to room. UPS sent me an e-mail showing the pkg. was in their system along with tracking #. Then I got e-mail once it was rec'd and the name of the person that signed for it. I just printed that out and brought with me just in case.
Disney will hold your package for 5 days so check with shipper so you don't ship to early. I think they might charge you if they have to hold longer.
Address as: deeken02 just kidding use your real name.
Arriving: your arrival date
c/o Disney's All Star Movies Resort

Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
Your resort address will be on your confirmation or in the info on resorts here at DIS.
I am doing the same thing for our nov. trip too. That way no problem with liquids going through arpt. security.
I printed out 4 very large print labels and taped one on all four sides of box and on top. I bolded the arrival date.

We also just shipped a package to and from Disney and it was so easy and it was right there waiting for us when we got there and it arrived at our own home a few days after we got back! It was great and we're thinking about doing this anywhere possible from now on!

We also sent a box to POR prior to our visit. I timed it (you can check the UPS web site to give you an idea when things get delivered) so it would arrive a day before we were to arrive. No problems with the disney workers, they gladly gave me my box at check in. It was great for bringing the expensive snacks kids tend to go through. We also ordered groceries from a place that delivered it the day we arrived (gardengrocer.com, $10.delivery fee when we did it, quite reliable and wonderful).

Do you think this could be done with an item from Amazon or similar? I am from the UK, there is a camera I would really like to buy. It is £300 here compared to $300 in the US. Do you think I could have it shipped to the hotel for my arrival?

Im staying at All Stars Movies too.

I cannot imagine that delivering from Amazon would be a problem. I have had cases of bottled water delivered from Costco in the past. I simply put my reservation number and arrival date on the second address line.

If there is a place for it I also put Hold for guest arriving: xx/xx/xxxx

I assume you would be ordering from Amazon US?

Two days ago I placed an order with disneyshopping. We arrive at the Poly in two days so I am having it delivered there (I ordered Pirate costumes for the Pirate & Princess Party and for "Pirate night" on our Disney Cruise). It works out well because I am from Canada and the shipping charges would have been much higher if I had sent the order to my home.

This is a fantastic idea, I suppose its all in the timing, you would have to know roughly how long it would take for a parcel to arrive at the resort. Its kind of a strange idea for us in the UK but as the other poster said it would be a sensible thing to do. I would like to order adult costumes for MNSSHP and maybe I could do that from Disney shopping to arrive at our resort.

Anyone have any ideas how long it would take to deliver in USA? Your post is probably more reliable than ours is over here! LOL

we do it every trip - 3 days prior to arrival, we ship a small box Fedex to our resort (filled with toiletries, miscellaneous small items) - last year i taped pictures of pigs all over the box to help in "finding" our box at the business center (at the CR) - the staff there had a good laugh!

According to my tracking number my order has already been sent. I expect that it will be there within a day or so of my arrival. I think that if you place your order within 8 days of your arrival (from the disneyshopping web site), you will have your order when you arrive.

Thanks for the advice, you have really helped with my planning. Have a good trip.
