Shipping a dress to Australia?

OK so I am in love with a Maggie Sottero Dress Problem is if i purchase it here in Australia its 3 times the price of the price it is in America does anyone know of somewhere i can purchase this dress and get it shipped to Australia??

Hey! Me too!

I'm probaby going to buy my dress through perfectbridal.com so far they are the only company I've found that will ship the dress to Australia. This is because in 2008 Maggie Sottero made some stupid rule that meant US vendors were not allowed to ship the dresses internationally

However I've confirmed that perfectbridal do, and I've read lots of reviews that say they sell authentic dresses not rip offs, so I think that's what I'll do.

Another option I considered was ordering the dress from a shop close to my inlaws, they can then pick it up and ship it to me.

Thanks for you reply I have been searching on the net everywhere for somewhere that posts to australia.
There is no way im paying about 3k for a dress that is 988 plus tax in the usa.
I have a friend whos best friend ives in dallas and we were talking about getting her to purchase and send it too me!!
I notice your having a wedding at wdw too we just decided to elop.
how many people from australia are going to your wedding??
We have 4 people i think lol.
Oh well only the people who really love us will be there and thats all that matters!

Hey,

I ordered my dress from PerfectBridal over the weekend, so now all I can do is sit with my fingers crossed and hope that it's an original when it gets here!

We're having maybe 30-40 people at our wedding, the number keeps going up and we only budgeted for 30!! I was only expecting maybe 20 people because everyone b*tched about it when we announced what we were doing, but now they're all jumping on the bandwagon.

I was going to order my dress online via a local dress store in CT, where the future inlaws live, but decided I'd prefer to have it sent straight here. If you've got the time to wait I'd be happy to let you know what the dress is like when it comes, I'm expecting in maybe Oct-Nov. The cost for the inlaws to send it, is probably similar in cost for perfect bridal to send it, and mine's pretty full like yours, so we're probably in the same boat...

OMG that sounds just like my family!!
Most of them are sooking because of the price of flying to america...
