I'm considering mailing my Fish Extender gifts in advance of my cruise. I've found directions on where to send it and how to label it.

Has anyone ever preshipped to DCL?

When do you receive your box? Is it in your stateroom with your luggage?

How do I make sure it's actually on the ship before I board?

Thanks for your insight.

The box typically shows up in your room that afternoon/evening. I'm not sure if you can confirm it's there before you board.

Many people have shipped FE gifts pre-cruise. I'd say it's pretty safe that you'll get it, as long as you send it in time to get there.

Hmmm. I wonder how cost-effective it is to ship clothing ahead, especially if you are flying. If USPS parcel post turns out to be roughly equivalent to your checked bag fee, it could save you some schlepping to and from the airport.

Granted, there is always the danger that your package won't be delivered, and you'll be stuck with nothing but the clothes in your carry-on. Still interesting, though. Has anyone reading this ever tried that?
