Shhhh! Mickey's Twying to Sweep, be Quiet! - A July '11 Anniversary TR - Update 12/24

The Hawaiian flatbread looks awesome!

Good for Jason for being an attentive parent and not letting things go. Joaquin will be better for it. :thumbsup2

We have been in a crowd like that at Christmas time. We ended up just heading back out of the park because we were doing the shuffle step, and there's just no way it could be enjoyable.

Glad you guys got to see the Jedi Training and that Joaquin loved it.

The video of him explaining Transformers is awesome. I like when he says "you can play with my Bumblebee but he's at home...sorry!"

Nice extra pictures too, especially the one from LMA!

I love the food pics of Backlot express - still never managed to eat here. Oh, well maybe next time.

You definitely got the better deal with Muppetvision. Love the pics of Joaquin feeling the force! :rotfl: He is soo funny with his kiddisms and the Transformers video had me laughing out loud! The things he was telling Ommi during that video were hilarious! Whoever said 'I don't need to watch the movie now' sure is right ;)

Oh no with the meltdown...that doesn't sound healthy but am guessing the heat played a major factor.

I thought of you during TSMM but your tips went out of the window and I just started shooting like crazy!! You can probably guess what happened but I will share the experience soon.

That was my first experience with the Hawaiian flatbread, and I was sooo happy with it.

Jason is very good with Joaquin and he has a good balance of taking a hard stance on the things that matter, and then being more lenient in other areas. You're right, Joaquin will benefit from that in the long run.

That was the worst we'd seen it. It was probably also due to the fact that we were trying to get on TSM.

Okay, that's my favorite part of the video too! I'm the camera person in it, so you can see the parts I thought were funny because the camera starts shaking....

That was me during the video that said I didn't need to go and see the movie now. That boy has it all down, and Jason is right in the video. He knows everything about it and is always correct.

The heat did play a factor with his meltdown and the fact that he was just being a contrary 3 1/2 year old.

No worries about not using my TSM suggestions. It takes time and experience to get used to it. And hard core training. :rolleyes1

Yup, we all became princesses on this day. Well, the girls became princesses anyway. The boys continued to sleep while that happened.

Today was our breakfast in the castle! We had not let Riley know what was going on and she still didn't have much of an idea. She knew that we were all going out with only the girls this morning and that she had to wear her Rapunzel dress, but that was all she knew.

I woke up and took a picture from my balcony. In case you guys forgot what a great view I had. :rolleyes1

I met Mom, Sara, and Riley in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower at 7:30am. We decided to walk to the Magic Kingdom so we could take our time. Riley looked totally cute in her dress and was stylin' with her sunglasses.

DSCN1542.jpg

Riley definitively announced that she knew we were on our way to the Magic Kingdom. We weren't too far into our walk when she said "we're going to eat in the castle, aren't we?"

We all told her yes, because we weren't about to lie to her. However, she still had no idea that the princesses were going to be there. So we still had one surprise that was under our belt.

There was a pretty long line already to get into the park, because a lot of people apparently had breakfast reservations. And it was stinkin' hot already! All of the effort that I put into my hair and makeup was already going out of the window. Oh well. Who am I trying to impress anyway?

Ommi and Riley heading onto Main Street. I just love these pictures coming up.

DSCN1543.jpg

See how many people there already were? It wasn't even 8am yet! :scared1:

DSCN1544.jpg

You can tell that Ommi is telling Riley something very exciting!

DSCN1545.jpg

Will never get tired of this!

DSCN1548.jpg

Love that they're the only ones on the walkway.

DSCN1549.jpg

DSCN1550.jpg

When we got into the restaurant, Riley realized that something was up, because she saw Cinderella and got very excited.

They had a very serious conversation before heading in. (I have Photopass pics that I'll post later too)

DSCN1555.jpg

Of course, had to get Jacque and Gus Gus!

DSCN1554.jpg

Riley got her wishing wand.

CIMG4015.jpg

We ordered all three of the breakfast options. Which was the eggs platter (bacon, sausage, potatoes, etc.), cream cheese stuffed french toast, and granola and yogurt. It was all very good.

I love it in here.

DSCN1557.jpg

She was doing the wishing ceremony and knew something was up (you can see it in her face).

CIMG4013.jpg

Wait, is someone coming?

DSCN1560.jpg

Snow White!

DSCN1561.jpg

Aurora!

DSCN1562.jpg

DSCN1563.jpg

Ariel! (She was my favorite. She was soooo sweet with Riley).

DSCN1564.jpg

DSCN1565.jpg

One of my favorite pictures from the trip.

DSCN1566.jpg

And Belle. She was okay, but World Showcase Belle was much better.

DSCN1567.jpg

Dudes, I just noticed that I completely flaked and took NO food pictures. Oh well. Guess I was distracted.

We had a great breakfast and it was worth being able to surprise Riley that way. She was so happy about it. I would do it over again in a heartbeat.

Up next: Rapunzel?!

Yay princesses time!!! Love the Rapunzel dress and how Riley is styling it with the sunglasses :cool2:

Wow at the amount of people at MK already!

Love the pics of Ommi and Riley - what great photos for Riley to treasure and have as memories :thumbsup2

Yay on her being surprised and great photos of the princesses! What a great morning!

There is nothing better than a little princess walking up to the castle! I love that picture! You have some great pictures and I agree, the one with Ariel is my favorite too! There is something so magical about a little girl's first time in the castle isn't there?

Totally a great decision to go to the castle with just you girls. Riley is a very smart girl to guess you guys were having breakfast in the castle. Well, I think that is like the only other restaurant to accept breakfast reservations in MK, but I think CP is the more popular destination, but whatever. Your mom and Riley look adorable together, especially with Riley's princess dress on.

The pictures you got with the princesses are great and the food sounds delicious though too bad there is no food pictures as a way to persuade myself to go there :headache: I've always wanted to eat in the castle so maybe I'll stop by there sometime.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

She rocked those sunglasses the whole trip.

There were a lot of people there already! I was so surprised. I've never seen it that crowded that early before.

I was so happy that those pictures came out of the experience. They're great to have for the future. Wonderful treasures.

I know! It was such a fun moment and I was so thrilled that there weren't tons of people around and that I was able to get a picture of just the two of them.

Ariel was great. She knelt down right away to have a conversation with Riley. You can tell that she's super excited about it too by the smile that she has on her face.

She's a clever girl for sure.

I do think they were all there for CP. The castle is really small on the inside, so there aren't as many availabilities there.

I recommend going into the castle to eat. It's a very unique experience. I was so mad I didn't take pictures! I think I was definitely more concerned with Riley.

I really want to eat in the castle but I just can't bring myself to spend the money! Do you think it is worth it without having a kid in tow?

I have done it with and without kids. I find the food to be really good, but that's because it's the only place on property that has cream cheese stuffed french toast.

The ambience is really cool and not like anything else. My advice is that it's good to do once. Especially if you like characters and princesses. It is a little expensive, but there is no other experience like it. I would recommend doing it if you could fit it in. I've have not eaten there for lunch or dinner in years (I'm talking, like, since the 80's). So I don't have an opinion of that meal.

We left off finishing our breakfast in the castle. Riley was extremely happy. We managed to get out of the castle right around 9am. We figured this would be the best time to go and see Rapunzel, since I knew that the lines get very long. Plus, who wouldn't want to see Riley in her Rapunzel dress meet Rapunzel?

We arrived at the meet and greet and there weren't that many people lined up. They actually let us into the are right away, and Riley was able to stand with the other girls around the table.

DSCN1568.jpg

You can tell in her face that she is not a huge fan of doing new things.

DSCN1569.jpg

This area is so cute.

DSCN1571.jpg

Pascal!!!

DSCN1572.jpg

It was time for Rapunzel to come out and I think we only waited about 15 minutes. How cute is this?

DSCN1574.jpg

DSCN1576.jpg

Rapunzel kept commenting on Riley's beautiful dress and beautiful golden hair. You can tell that Riley was very happy with this meet and greet. Rapunzel is her current favorite princess, next to Belle.

After that, it was time for us to head over to Adventureland. Why do you ask? Because Joaquin was going to become a Pirate on this day. Arrrrr!!!!

On the way, Riley paused to take a look at the castle, and her picture turned out too cute.

DSCN1579.jpg

As we walked through Adventureland, we saw this...

DSCN1582.jpg

Aladdin and Jasmine taking a ride with a family on the flying carpets. How cool is that!

We arrived at the Pirate's League, and the boys were already inside and checked in. All of the CM's in the Pirates League made a huge deal about the "princess" that came in the room. It was so funny, it just made me crack up. They kept saying that the danger of the princess is that she'll make everything smell good.

Soon it was time for Joaquin to get started. You can see Jason telling him very seriously that he needs to be good and sit very still.

DSCN0276.jpg

Jason had decided that Joaquin would be a cursed pirate. Well, this would end up cursing us in the end.

DSCN0277.jpg

He was a little nervous about his new look.

DSCN0279.jpg

He cheered up when he got his teeth though.

DSCN0282.jpg

He has to perform a Pirate Oath. Joaquin was acting very shy (so out of character for him), but I captured it on video anyway.

And we had a Pirate and a Princess! Our pirate's new name was Davey Ropewalker.

DSCN0287.jpg

On the way out, we met Anjelica. And there was no one waiting in line to see her.

DSCN0293.jpg

And this CM thought the kids were adorable, so she had to get in on the fun.

DSCN0294.jpg

DSCN0295.jpg

So we had our Pirate and Princess for the day. It was a very good morning, and at this point it was around 10am I believe.

Up next: Per Joaquin: "I don't want to touch my nasty nasty nasty".

And a little preview.....

DSCN0297.jpg

LOVE that pic of Riley looking back at the castle. She makes such a pretty Rapunzel. :thumbsup2 Somebody makes an adorable pirate, even though you have me curious about what's to come now.. Sounds like a great morning!! I'd love to do the castle breakfast, but haven't managed that one yet. Whenever I think about scheduling one, they're always booked up. Guess it's not a good fit for a last minute planner like me. ;) Someday!

I love that picture of her! It was just perfect timing. Joaquin is an adorable pirate. Let's just say it was the perfect storm. Heat, humidity, makeup, and crankiness. :rotfl:

You know, I actually managed to book this breakfast in a pretty short span of time. But you're right, it is difficult to get in there at the last minute.
