Wouldn't August be cheaper because of value season? Not that I can fault you for trying to move your trip closer!

I am bummed that April is "regular" season, so the prices are quite a bit higher than what I paid last month in "value season"....but I think April weather is going to be better than July weather so I'll consider the price hike a weather upgrade.

It's a bit more expensive, but I still get a REALLY good rate no matter what. Danimal REALLY wants my dad to come and he won't do August. My dad loathes heat something fierce. He walks around in shorts and a tee when it's in the 40's here so you can imagine how he feels in Florida in August.

We will see. Right now if we only do AoA and nix the Poly we can do it for $2853 which comes out to about $204 a night including tax. Not too bad at all. We are going to do the plus option on our tickets so we can do Disney Quest and water parks, plus 10 days in the parks. Daniel also wants to do Universal for the coasters. I might just send him and my dad there.

Hellooooooooo ladies! Happy Friday to all...

I'm home ... alone ... except for the psychotic dog who is currently outside thinking she can jump up into the tree to catch a squirrel. Love her but maaaaan, is she a thing.

I must admit, for Miss M, I didn't blubber... but seeing MY HUBS slightly teary-eyed almost made me! Grrrrr! She's quite the independent one which makes it easier, almost ran off inside the doors without even saying goodbye to her daddy. (I'm used to that.) Now, one little girl who had just gotten off the bus and was looking around lost, a helper came up to her and I overheard her ask the little girl, "Hi Honey, are you in first grade or kindergarten?" The little girl replied sadly, "I don't know." That... THAT almost made me bawl.

Candace and Jen: Wishing you "big-girl" strength for those first days! (Just not She-Ra strength, that sort ruins garage doors.)

Dani: When any of Disney's sites are down... ugh. UGH. You'd think they'd have a better online infrastructure considering. Don't even get me started on their online reservation system. Hope it's back up quickly for you.

Miraculously, I feel fine!!! 3 Beers is a big night for me!

Sorry I've not been around lately (Toby's angel day this week)...will have a few days next wk when everyone is away, so will have lots of time to catch up!

No planning going on....we've got everything done for the January RC weekend - all our ADR's done. BOG, Via Napoli, Ohana for breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast, Trails End our first dinner/supper (whichever it's called!)....of course, some favorite CS places when we need a light lunch: FLBBQ, CHH, CR's...

A few of us (RCers) and my friend Rosie have a December '13 trip in the works, but haven't started any serious planning yet...we'll probably wait until January.

Enjoy all the planning and changing here, of course!!

MM: SO proud of you for holding onto POLY CL....I hope it lasts and DH gets his wish this trip Hoping he loves it!!!

Jenny: YEAH for teens!!! how exciting! I'm right behind you, 34 days for me today....but it is still coming up really fast, I already know I am going to have an amazingly hard time leaving after this trip, because I won't see my beloved WDW home again for quite some time......I've decided though that I am still staying here with all of my friends and I'll have to live vicariously through you'all for now

I am LOVING our new car......It is wonderful, so quiet, smooth and a big difference from the junky clunker FORD Escape!! I went to the dealer for some undercoating yesterday and to pick up my snow tires, and saw our pathetic old '10 Ford Escape on the lot looking so blah!!! I am glad it's not my headache anymore! Now just to teach my teens to treat it with respect and not their personal party mobile.....I already hate handing over the keys to anyone else!!!

I can attest to the brutal heat and humidity here in August. We bare,y go outside it is soooo bad! The coasters at IoA are pretty awesome!!! And the park is pretty cool to just see. I would say to definitely make time for it.
