Thank you, Jenny & Jeanette!

RCer's are so sweet and understanding!

Sorry I've not been around lately (Toby's angel day this week)...will have a few days next wk when everyone is away, so will have lots of time to catch up!

No planning going on....we've got everything done for the January RC weekend - all our ADR's done. :) BOG, Via Napoli, Ohana for breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast, Trails End our first dinner/supper (whichever it's called!)....of course, some favorite CS places when we need a light lunch: FLBBQ, CHH, CR's...

A few of us (RCers) and my friend Rosie have a December '13 trip in the works, but haven't started any serious planning yet...we'll probably wait until January.

Enjoy all the planning and changing here, of course!! :grouphug:

I saw a picture of Toby on FB - what a handsome guy he was. I'm sorry that he's gone physically, but I know he's in your heart always.

Weel, darn...my multi-quote just disappeared....but wanted to thank you all so very much for your caring words and love. Hugs right back!

Sarah, what a lovely thought! Toby's favorite place when we went to WDW was a seat on Space Mountain (long before the new thrill attractions), so you and I will not be sitting in there. ;)

If you can't get on Space, maybe you can get Space on you. You can print this out and put it in your pocket while you and JC sit here and talk. :goodvibes

Kiddo had a great first day. (Was moody when she first saw me because she had to use the bathroom and didn't bother asking whilst in school. :headache: ) Other than the bathroom thing, she said she had a great time... loves her teacher and has made another new friend. Keeping my fingers crossed the good mood lasts the rest of the year! :thumbsup2

Marie: I forgot in my last post... I LOVE green! :lovestruc Good choice on the new ride. (Wish mine had green as a choice, only boring colours when I bought it.) :lmao: at not wanting to hand over the keys -- I don't blame ya!

Minnie&Nana and Sarah: I love I_Heart's suggestion, for sitting near Space Mountain. :grouphug:

You all are such a darned special group. :goodvibes

So glad she had good day! YAY on a new friend and loving the teacher!!!! DD went through that with the bathroom for a while too. I continued to explain that if she didn't go at school she would end up with a bladder infection that would REALLY hurt, she did eventually start going in school ;)

It's a quiet night tonight, there must not be techie questions and beer flowing ;)

We are all tired after the first week of school, so hopefully just a quiet night here as well. Just realized we are officially under a tropical storm watch now, Sunday and Monday should be pretty nasty. DH is supposed to fly to Atlanta on Mon for business, not sure that will happen.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

No beer. Quiet night here as well. Unless DH best friend and his wife end up coming for a visit before DH BF deploys on Sunday....then beer might get flowing again. :crazy2:

My name is Wyndie and I'm a resort changer! I have changed from POR to WL to AOA to AKL back to AOA and am looking at moving to CSR. I cannot stop changing our resort. I over think my choice then move us. Then over thing that move and look to move us again. We are going in November, 11/23 - 11/30. It will be myself, DH, DS 12 and DD 3. I can't decide if I want to stay at AoA and have and extra bath and bed for all or if I want to save over $600 and stay at CSR. Help!!!!

:confused3

Welcome!!! You've fallen onto the right thread...we are all chronic changers. :goodvibes

My initial thought is that AoA looks awesome...but you mention the extra bath, so are you considering a suite?? For a family of four (which I have) I see no reason to get a suite, a regular room suits us just fine. I personally have no interest in CSR, it reminds me a lot of CBR which we really didn't like at all. We LOVE the WL!!!! Out of all your choices, that's the one I'd go with!!! :thumbsup2

So this is our last night. :worried: :sad1::sad:

We have had the trip of a lifetime. :cloud9: My DS's and DH are all at SAB swimming. We were in the pool earlier but there was a huge thunderstorm that cleared the pool. We relaxed in the suite and had dinner at the Captains Grill and now they are back in the pool. MK has EMH's tonight and we plan to go over in a few to close the park down. :woohoo: We are going to sleep in tomorrow. How will I ever be able to top this trip? :cloud9:

#I am more than grateful#

Sorry your trip is coming to a close. :worried:

But, you can always plan your next one!! ::yes::

I'm glad you had such a magical trip ~ I hope you'll post some photos when you get back!!! :thumbsup2

I heart the mouse, thank you for the Space Mountain vehicle picture and the picture of the bench. What a lovely idea. :goodvibes

step, glad you had such a great vacation. :) Sorry it is ending, but now you can start planning for the next one.

missoutandabout, glad Miss M had a good first day of school. :cutie:

Oh how things have changed over the 20 plus trips we have made to WDW. Our first trip we made reservations through a local travel agent and stayed at ASsports. We had the best time and thought that the resort was the coolest! But our next trip I did a bit more research and knew a little more than that first trip. Made my own reservations but still did not know anything about these boards or had any idea of what books to read. By our third trip I started to feel like I knew what I was doing. Since then I make my resort reservations, usually a year in advance. By the time we go I may have made many changes or not. This trip we started out 5 nights at Pop and 4 on the Disney Dream. We decided to not do the cruise and instead stay 5 nights at AKL. Well now that we leave in 7 days I have us staying 5 nights at Pop and 5 at WL. Our first stay at WL and we are all really excited. Already thinking about where to stay in May.....

I keep trying to reply, but I have the news on waiting for the latest TS Isaac advisory. We are in the midst of a pretty bad storm right now and the lights started to flicker, and I just looked up to make sure I had flashlights on top of the fridge and though to plug my cell phone in too. Ugh, I really hate south Florida!!!!

So this is our last night. :worried: :sad1::sad:

I am so happy you are having such a great trip! I am soooo exited for our fist visit to YC in a few weeks! My kids are so excited for SAB!!!! Sorry it is all ending for you :sad1: :sad1: Close down MK tonight and have a blast!

Oh I know, it is amazing how things have changed. When I was a TA years ago for AAA people didn't have the luxury of searching the internet. I think that is why so many people change their minds so much now, there is just more information. Have a great trip! And honestly with the way the storms are right now I think you made the right decision canceling cruise ;)

Welcome from the other newbie!!! We stayed at CSR a few years ago and DH and I both agree we hated it but other than there being a line to get into the Pepper Market I cant remember what our other reasons were. With that said, I have read that people love CSR, so we may have just had a bad weekend. We also love POR, both FQ and RS, and WL, well that was a splurge for us years ago and I am happy to say we are landing there again in Feb. The main thing I like about WL over POR is the interior corridors. I also like having a balcony for the time I am awake and everyone else is sleeping. My choice (like MM1's) would be WL out of the choices you posted.

NEW ADVISORY GOT TO GO!!!

Melissa

Upgraded from a tropical storm watch to warning on this last advisory and now the Keys are under a Hurricane watch. We also have a tornado warning in affect once the storm hits on Sunday :sad2: I guess I wont be grocery shopping on Sunday which is my usual day, UGH :worried:

Hi, everybody! Sorry I've been MIA here. Things are crazy busy right now. The good part of that is that usually that makes time fly by. So, hopefully, our trip will get here quick. I did make one change today....but it wasn't a resort change. We moved our Fantasy cruise from 5/18/13 to 6/1/13. The dates worked better for my DH's job. And today we had parent orientation at my DS's Pre-school. His PreK4 graduation would have been while we were on the cruise. Only down side of changing is that this week is more expensive and we could only get late dining. Our agent wait listed us for main dining....so I'm hoping we can get bumped up.

Hope everyone is doing well! :goodvibes

I live in south Louisiana, so I'm definitely no stranger to hurricanes & completely empathize with what y'all must be experiencing....getting ready & such. Hope y'all don't get hit too badly & that y'all stay safe!

Have no fear! We had one of those upgrade of a lifetime trips in June and I can say without hesitation that we still had an absolute blast on our August trip. Savor every last moment! And if you are like me, you will at least attempt to price out a suite for your next trip. :lmao:

Melissa, be safe!

Have been keeping a close watch on how Isaac will affect Florida - have several friends who are native Floridians, but a couple of friends are FL coast newbies who moved from the Midwest so they've no idea what a hurricane can do - or a TS. They think a TS isn't important, but hope they take head and be follow the warnings.

I lived in FL (on the coast) several years and in Boston (on the coast) for 40 years, so we are very experienced with hurricanes and TS. Hope all goes well and you are okay. Will be watching...and do keep us updated when safe to do so! :grouphug:

Here in NC we get strong remnants, sometimes more, so we keep an eye on the size of the hurricane and/or TS.

Janet will be leaving for home today - they (Sam & Janet's sister Diane) had a fantastic trip with her niece and grandniece. I think this is the first time Janet has ever said to me that she'll need a vacation from her vacation:rotfl: - she is a go go go kind of Disney guest, but this trip sounds like they took that up a notch! She has sent text and photos, but I did not want to post any without her permission. Cannot wait to hear all about their week!

 All of our RCers leaving or returning in the next few days, do be safe and have a great trip!! :goodvibes :grouphug:

amandaw We had that one year, I think we were late booking our cruise and main dining was full. We were wait listed and by the grace of the dining gods did actually get switched to main dining about a month before our cruise. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :goodvibes

i_heart Thanks! Hopefully it is a quick moving storm and those at WDW will just have deal with some brief squalls of rain.

Christine Yeah, I have lived here long enough (and just north of Boston before that oh and a 5 year stint in NC ;)) to know that I don’t need to panic, but I do need to keep a close eye and make a few preparations. Our grounds are already soaked from all the rain we have had so the dumping we are about to get could cause some flooding and power outages. And yes, it is the size of this one as well that will be causing a problem, tropical storm force winds extending out 230 miles from the center. So glad Janet had a good time! But I do know the feeling of needing a vacation to recoup from my vacation ::yes:: Hope she gets some well needed rest soon!

Here is hoping everyone in or coming to FL stays dry and safe over the next few days. I wish there was an umbrella emoticon :lmao:

Melissa, glad you have some hurricane and TS experience! One of my friends from the Midwest lives in St Pete - she said their backyard was already so flooded a couple of days ago that it looked more like the Everglades! She was just hoping they wouldn't find a gator in the yard :rotfl:But, as we know, anything is possible in Florida! If there's water, a gator could find it's way there...but I would be more concerned about the snakes!

Are you very far south? If so, not looking good for you all...you'll be in our thoughts and prayer!
