Good morning all...I am sick again....DH reinfected me....I am thinking pneumonia. Short of breath & wheezing...sucking on a nebulizer & headed to the ER...check in later :grouphug:

Jeanette I hope you feel better soon!

To all the RC'rs in the path of the storm, stay safe!!!

It's actually a nice day up here in New England, we just came in from playing basketball with the girls....now we've gotta find lunch.

I just bumped my PTR off of page 2 - how do people get so many followers???? :confused3
I can see the PTR may get abandoned...:headache:

OH NO! So sorry to hear this. Be good to yourself and let everyone take care of you. Hugs:hug:

Ok, I was in Indiana last week getting my son settled back in his dorm and now I'm 30 pages behind

I missed pas coming back and her happy birthday- will catch your tr.

Missed kook and others who have left for Disney...hope your trips are magical and look forward to reading about them.

For those whose kids are off to school this week, best wishes:). For me it was much more difficult for hs than Kdg. Mine are four years apart and never in the same school at the same time, so when the older one was in whatever grade I could always fall back on the younger:rotfl2: Brendan's in 6th, deflect that with Justin's in 2nd:thumbsup2 Yeah, we'll now those days are gone, ones a sophomore in college and the other a sophomore in hs !!

Have a great weekend all!

amandaw We had that one year, I think we were late booking our cruise and main dining was full. We were wait listed and by the grace of the dining gods did actually get switched to main dining about a month before our cruise. Keeping my fingers crossed for you :goodvibes

I'm so glad to hear that this has actually worked for someone. :thumbsup2 Hopefully, we'll get some dining pixie dust thrown our way. pixiedust:

Thank you!! I am OK, dizzy, shaky from the medicine but OK. YUCK! And the ER (that I was supposed to work today & tomorrow) is mad. I haven't called out for tomorrow, because I haven't heard the last of calling out today. I went there sick yesterday...the bosses don't care :furious:

Wishing our Fla friends safe haven from the Hurricane :grouphug:

Now back to bed...after going to Candace's PTR :goodvibes

Jeanette I am glad you are home, but sorry you feel so yucky  Don't worry about work tomorrow, I know getting an attitude sucks, but you need to take care of you first and foremost!!! Feel better soon!

So many swirling thoughts right now, maybe it is the impending swirling winds on their way  So I need some help sorting through them all.

First, we are booked for Jan 5-7th at CR (as long as there is a FL res or AP discount). According the WDW website the Osborne lights should be up through Jan 6th. I cant find an end date for the dream lights. I know some of the holiday resort decorations will be coming down by then as well, so I was thinking moving the Jan trip to an earlier date. But this is what I am running into:

- F&W runs through Nov 12, which I am thinking wont have a HUGE impact on crowd level :confused3:

- Osborne Lights and Dream Lights start Nov 9, again thinking that first weekend may be crazy.

- FLE previews are rumored to start on Nov 19, which is also Thanksgiving week so that is out.

- FLE opens Dec 6, which means utter chaos!

Now keep in mind that we also have a tentative trip planned for Oct 19-21 at YC but again are waiting for the AP discounts. It looks like the resort season changes that weekend as well so the Sat night could be pretty high even with the discount which may price us out. Also add the fact that if the kids don't have school on Monday (due to TS Isaac) then they will be giving back Oct 21 as a make up day. But I really want a second stay at YC while it is warm so the kids can enjoy SAB. I thought about extending our Sep trip by a day but there is no way DH can take off a second day that weekend.

I know part of me needs to wait and see what the fall discounts are going to be, so I can plan better. But since I am obsessive I want to have my plan ready to go as soon as they are released.

I guess my questions are as follows:

- Does F&W really make an impact on crowd level, especially since we are planning on staying at YC in Oct.

- Do you think come Nov 19 through the rest of the year is just going to be crazy with the FLE previews then opening? Or is there any chance that the first weekend in December may not be chaotic?

I keep looking at the calendar and just cant figure out what it is going to be best. Do I just leave the Jan 5-7th and keep my fingers crossed the Dream Lights are still up and we can still have a little holiday spirit? I am just nervous that December is going to be a wash with FLE opening. :headache:

I know I am over analyzing but when you have a DS on the Autism Spectrum and a DD with severe ADHD and anxiety, crowd levels are HUGE in our planning process.

Toughts, suggestions, hammer over the head :rolleyes2

Melissa- I think, because of the issues with your family, I would keep the days you have in Jan and hope the lights are still up. Because of my kids schedules we have had to go T'giving week the last two times and again this year. While we love it, Osborne lights are extremely crowded and I don't think with all that is going on this year it will ease up during the other weeks you are considering.

While we have become a Grand family- and for this trip a WL one- we originally were CR. It was the first resort both of my boys stayed in and they truely liked it. We stayed garden wing, bay lake side. I never gave a thought to the theming, but maybe I just wasn't all about that :)

Hope you are out of Issac's way, stay safe :goodvibes. We had Irene last year and the start of the school year was delayed two days. No snow days last year, but 2 tropical storm days and 5 no electricity days.

Jeanette Glad to read you are home and headed to bed. Don't worry about missing work you need to get well!!!

Jeanette  I am so sorry you are  and sorry work is making you feel guilty, that makes me so :furious: when they do that to workers! You'd think they'd want healthy people on shift, especially in a health care environment!!! CRAZY management! You don't stress, take time to feel better, you're not good to others when you don't feel good yourself! You need rest....I hope it passes quickly

I can hardly believe time is flying by so fast! Only 33 days for me.....2 weeks today my hubby leaves for 2 weeks in England with his parents, then 2 weeks later, it's the boys' and my turn! It will be here before we know it.....I am going to cherish every moment of this trip! I definitely am looking forward to it, and it is a much needed break from every day life! :lovestruc

Just popping in to say I am headed off to find some things to make my MNSSHP costume...I am going to be BOO!! From Monsters Incs.!!

Pretty basic...but I can for sure pull it off!! Besides time is ticking!!

Good Sunday Morning, RCers!

Jeanette, I'm so sorry you sick. :( Feel better very soon. Gentle

Melissa...I've been watching TWC and local So FLA news on line - praying you are all safe.

As for the 1st week of December - we went that time of year for several years, but stopped in 2007 because it was no longer quiet, low crowds. Disney even raised resort rates and it is no longer value season. In 2007 we were in the MK thinking how crazy it had become - long lines, people everywhere. Thanks to the internet and books ;), that nice quiet time we enjoyed for so many years was no more. Also, the Christmas parade is taped the first weekend, which draws more crowds as well.

The way it falls this year, the weekend of Dec 15th should be the December lull - usually it would be closer to the 10th, but because the 1st falls on a Saturday, the lull is later. If I could go this year it would be between Dec 10th and the 16th as it would be a quieter time after the 1st couple of weeks and before the Christmas crowds arrive.:thumbsup2 Hope you find dates that work well.

All of our friends traveling or who live in Florida: you all are in our thoughts and prayer. Please be safe! :grouphug:

Good Morning !

You guys are starting to make me nervous with all this December crowd talk :crazy2:

Of course I keep telling myself even with FLE previews it still can not be as bad as our Easter or Spring Break trips. I did not mind the crowds at all in March and yet I came back to read people saying how bad it was. I guess it just comes down to what you have expierenced in the past :confused3

I know when I went in Jan and Oct both times of low crowds I ran into "Tour Groups" which made those trips less than Ideal at times.

I do think the Christmas Decorations, CP, Osborne Lights and eating at BOG :cool1: will make up for the extra crowds for FLE opening

Hope everyone has a great day, I am trying to organize some things around the house to get rid of clutter :rotfl2: What a mess I am making :lmao:

Oh and Jeanette You better be resting and not going into work!
