You are correct the Royal Rooms are in the mansion area. I think the mansions bring out my inner Scarlet!

After my hub's passing out spell last year right before our trip, I hope the mansions don't bring out his inner Scarlet.

You know, this same thing has me a bit worried about 50's PT -- neither hubs or I are lovers of attention. Have you done 50's before? I'm beginning to wonder how bad it might be. My love of fried chicken and milkshakes might be enough to overcome this fear.

My DH made me eat his vegetables at 50s PT.... Needless to say, he doesn't want to go back.....

As for the MRI, have you ever seen Super Dave with the cannon??

We aren't fans of 50 PT. Don't enjoy the attention and as my DH says you spend half the time there hoping they will leave you alone. Our though is with so many fun places to eat, why go there? DH is a huge fan of Sci Fi (loves the movie reel) so that's where we eat when we are at HS.

Hello to all. We got here safely. Wonderful flight. We were upgraded both at the hilton by the airport (club level) and here at the portofino. Our room is beautiful. We have a patio overlooking one of the pools. Tonight my dh is going 2 help me post pix. He is being sosweet taking pictures and telling everyone that I am writing a trip report. weather last night was beautiful with a nice breeze. We saw the newnight show at US 100 years of movies. Liked it. Tonight my dh has secured tix to a taping of wwf for the ds's. Can we all say. YUK. But I know they will LOVE it.

The main issue we are dealing with now is a very sick kitty furbaby. Two weeks ago he was in the emergency room for a toxic reaction to flea spray (container said okay to use on cats ... vet says no .... toxic to cats) to the tune of $900.00. Wednesday evening we again to took him to the vet .... he has stopped drinking and eating and was throwing up. They did all kinds of blood work, gave him an iv of fluids and sent us home with pills to calm his tummy. All the test came back negative. I'm now hand feeding him little bits of a jar of chicken baby food which he is managing to keep down.

Don't even get me started on the fleas! They've sprayed twice but we still have fleas. They didn't come from the cat .... he's a totally indoor cat, 5 years old and has NEVER had fleas. The apartment management would spray again but that means we have to board the kitty and he just doesn't need that drama right now. Besides both times after they sprayed I felt really strange ... light headed, sick at my stomach.

We are looking at apartments. DD has said no more carpet ... only hardwood or tile so that limits the search. Have appointments to look at two more today and have calls into a couple of others. As soon as she rents something we are taking over a couple of sleeping pad, a change of clothes, toothbrushes, etc and the kitty gear and we're stay there!!!

This probably way more than any of you want to know but thanks friends for letting me vent!!!

And I know I could wait and ask if BB were available once we are there, but I agree they are well worth the extra money. I see you are in NH, where abouts are you if you don’t mind me asking? I lived in MA just at the NH border, my mom grew up in Franklin and Manchester, I went to summer camp on Lake Winnipesauke, and spent my winters skiing at Loon and Waterville, so I know a few parts of NH

Marie I hear ya! I know my kids will soon outgrow the BB, so I figure we better take advantage of it while we can.

Jeanette Yeah, I am worried about the antics at WCC too, so we will just skip it. As for the BB, they love to sleep in them when they can and always seem to have a problem when we throw them in the same bed at a hotel. But yet at home, they ask for sleepovers all the time...GO FIGURE Sorry all the kiddos are sick, we had all it a few weeks ago including me. I hope you manage to stay healthy and the kiddos get better soon.

Hannah I will be on the phone Monday as well for BoG as well, I am thinking I will book it for Feb instead of our Jan trip hoping that all the kinks should be worked out by then.

Also, it was the antics I read about at 50 PT that made me cancel my ADR’s there, I know DS cannot handle that. DD has pretty bad anxiety as well, so it just sounds like another TS I will skip.

Linda So sorry about the kitty and the fleas! One of the kittens we adopted years ago came home with fleas and of course it was a nightmare, especially to our existing cats. And I have been there with the vet bills, we had one cat who liked to jump off the banister from the second story and another that had congestive heart failure when she was 3. Who ever thought cats could be so expensive? I hope it all works out soon.


Today was meet the teacher for DS(9) and DD(7) and all seems good! DD has DS's second grade teacher that I absolutely LOVED, so I am happy about that. Tomorrow is our normal crazy Saturday with karate, errands, etc. Then DH and are getting out tomorrow night without the kids for his partner's wife's father's birthday. Say that three times fast

Funny Manchester story...I spent hours trying to explain a restaurant to my mom that she used to take me to in Manchester but I couldn't remember the name and then my brother remembered, but couldn't remember the name either. So for a whole night my mom and dad kept telling me I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about. Then it came to me in the middle of the night....Chestnuts, do you happen to remember it? And I think the name of the candy store by my great aunt was Van Otis I think Oh and the first Chuck E Cheese I was ever at was in Manchester across from the mall, is it still there? It really is a small world after all

But from what I have been told Cape May is great and a not miss. 50 PT sounds fun, but I know just wont work for DS and DD. What night can you get an ADR at Cape May, we have one for Sept 16th
