Funny Manchester story...I spent hours trying to explain a restaurant to my mom that she used to take me to in Manchester but I couldn't remember the name and then my brother remembered, but couldn't remember the name either. So for a whole night my mom and dad kept telling me I was crazy and didn't know what I was talking about. Then it came to me in the middle of the night....Chestnuts, do you happen to remember it? And I think the name of the candy store by my great aunt was Van Otis I think  Oh and the first Chuck E Cheese I was ever at was in Manchester across from the mall, is it still there? It really is a small world after all :lmao:

I haven't been to either and it looks like you are going to be there just before me so I cant tell you to wait so I can let you know how Cape May is. But from what I have been told Cape May is great and a not miss. 50 PT sounds fun, but I know just wont work for DS and DD. What night can you get an ADR at Cape May, we have one for Sept 16th :)

Melissa

It is for the 20th....right before we go home the next day.

Ha! Yup, Chuck E. Cheese is still there...as is Van Otis! :goodvibes
The Chestnuts place....don't recall that one. That is funny though! :rotfl:

Ha Ha ! I guess I only needed one opinion...that yuck face did it for me! :lmao: I reserved it....all set for some seafood! Thought it might be a nice way to end that day with a relaxing boat ride over to the Beach Club from HS. Thanks Candace!

We have had really bad luck with DHS TS places....haven't liked them much. We did Sci-Fi last month, and that's the only one we are willing to repeat!

We probably agree on a lot of things.....well except Poly and WL.:upsidedow I'm looking forward to giving you my opinion on Wl Cl vs Poly CL. ;)

I really wish I could suck it up and try it....hey, I've got 8 months to make a "final" decision. :rotfl2:

I can't wait for your review!

Good evening ladies

It is so hard to keep up with you all! (and I have no idea how to multitude and I think u guys are Using emoticons that I can't see on the DIS app)

miss- so glad they ordered u Meds, one less anxiety provoking thing to worry about

Babyberger- I too have a dd4 that is saRah and I am so impressed re the names!

Hannah - I think the BoG adrs open at 7 am u might want to check out the unofficial waiting for BoG to open thread ......

Oh ya and I haven't figured out how to make text bold on the iPhone (I sure miss my blackberry :( )

I think I need to cancel my blt and keep my finding nemo suite at aoa and hope we like the vie resort although it would've been neat (not to mention time saving) to stay on the monorail line with a 4 year old and 8 moth old .....

I'm super excited for AKl Cl. The rest of the family...not so much. They prefer LOUD and CRAZY like BC. I like variety. They are going to have to suck it up for mommy. I think they will enjoy the sunrise safari.

Oh MAN, what are you guys doing to me about 50's PT?! :lmao::lmao:

Tell me... those of you with these faces: :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2: Was it the food you hated, the shtick or all of it? I'm all :scared: now. :lmao: I find DHS kinda lacking in inspiring food choices. Last year we did Pizza Planet -- basically just to get the darned Alien Cup. :confused3 :upsidedow Starring Rolls for a sandwich and cupcake (of course) and the bar at 50's for a milkshake-to-go. Where do you guys like to eat (TS, CS, WhateverService) when you're at HS? To be honest, 50's is only appealing to me because of the milkshakes and the fried chicken. :rolleyes1

Jen: We did Cape May (dinner) last year, having only had their breakfast before. We found it okay, food-wise. Slightly less hectic than their breakfast buffet due to no characters but still quite busy.

Take me, oooooh, oooooh, take me! AKL-CL looks so nice. It's on the "must-do" list. Can't wait to hear how you like it. :thumbsup2

We didn't like the food at 50's. The milkshake and fried chicken sounds really good....uh-huh, but it was the greasiest chicken I've ever had. The service wasn't great either. We also really disliked Hollywood and Vine. Bad service. Hot foods cold, cold foods hot and the buffet area was dirty looking. It's one of our "must never do agains"....:rotfl2:

Now, last month we tried Sci-Fi, as a last ditch effort to eat at DHS. I'll have to say, it was decent. DH and I both got the burgers. They are HUGE, we could only eat 1/3 - 1/2 of it...but it was easily the tastiest burger we've had at Disney!! And the fries were good, and the milkshake! :thumbsup2

We would eat there again. Oh, and we actually like Pizza Planet. It's not like pizza we typically eat, but it's tasty, and we like the little salads. :goodvibes

Hello all
I'm just moving around done adrs and noticed that akershus doesn't appear to be on the regular Disney dining plan and just on deluxe and higher?
Us this right?

Happy Saturday Peeps!!!

Sam and I and my sis are on the train headed south! :cool1: Mickey here we come! :woohoo:

Yaaaaaay for no work today. Just lots of this instead? :laundy: I'll happily accept a cheering charm ... or some Snape Polyjuice? :lmao: Lifetime APs with all the butter beer you can drink! I need to try it. MUST!

Hi Miss!! You got me on Butter Beer!! :rotfl2: We love the Frozen variety!

Janet Have a great trip. Pop? or AoA? I cant remember.:confused3

Thanks Padawans ... we are headed to POP! :hippie:

Janet Have a great time! And of course DD wants new clothes now, isn’t this the most convenient time for you  And oh please tell me more about the mango margarita!

Just for you, I'll have to research the mango margarita thouroughly! :teeth: Someone has to do it!!

Happy that you like the kids teachers! Have fun on your date night tonight. :flower3:

Hi newbie! AoA looks awesome! :thumbsup2 We will be checking it out while at POP. I can take some pix and post them for you. We plan on eating there once as well.

We love the look of the cars suites. :thumbsup2

We are home! We had a heck of a time at JFK when we landed. It took them two hours to get the luggage off the plane. As you can imagine, the airport was a mob scene and it took forever for my dad to get to us so we could load the car and get home. I think we are set on an AoA/Poly split for next year! :cheer2: AoA just looks SO cute. We had a blast exploring it over there. I really want a nemo room but I think Danimal is set on Cars. I am hoping for at least 15 nights next year, too!!!

We had a great trip and met lots of DISers. I though August would be way worse than it really ended up being. Yes, it rained almost every day and yes, it was hot and humid, but it was totally tolerable and manageable and I think we are going next August again!

:wave2: Dani!! Happy you arrived home safely (although too bad about the luggage issue.) :yay: for an AoA / Poly Split!! We really like the look of cars. Maybe next year our august trips can overlap!! ::yes:: :dance3:

Miss - we have been to 50s twice and we liked it both times. I think one of my kids got the fried chicken. I had the pot roast and it was yummy!

I think Sci Fi is just ok. We liked Mama Melrose well enough last year. I would go back to any of them but none of them are must dos for me. This trip, I don't have any HS ADRs.

The end of August is almost here! I want to make my reservations for BoG! I am way too excited. :hyper:

Hannah - did you see that they delayed the Cali Grill rehab to Feb? Do I remember right that you were hoping to get one more trip in?

Dani - welcome home!

Hello everyone. Checking in again. Yesterday at Portofino the electricity went out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was crazy.....:crazy2: We stayed in the parks all day. First we went to IofA and rode all of the water rides. Then we took the boat back to our room and changed from our swim wear. We had a ball BUT, that is when the electricity went out. We went back to the parks and stayed all day. We were exhausted when we got back to the resort BUT the electricity was back on. Today we checked into the Hilton Grand Vacations resort. Our suite is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Newly renovated two bed room. My DH has not uploaded the pictures yet so you will all have to wait for the trip report when I get home. We went to Busch Gardens in Tampa today. It rained cats and dogs for a little over two hours :scared:. The thunder and lightening closed all of the rides and most of the shows. More about that later. Tomorrow is Sea World and then.....Disney.....We are having the time of our lives. My feet hurt...... :goodvibes I soaked them in our Jacuzzi (It's going to be hard to leave this resort.....) :goodvibes I will try to check in again soon. Take care. It will take me weeks to catch up on the thread. Hope all is well with everyone. Welcome to all newbies, safe travels to everyone leaving and those returning as well.

Hi!:wave2: Sounds like you are having quite the adventure! We are just counting down the days over here!! Although at this moment not sure exactly what day we are at...25 maybe??? :goodvibes Looking forward to seeing all your pics!:yay:

UGH! Not sure what to do..we have the ressie for Cape May, but it still allowed me to keep the reservation at 50's. DH wants it, I am good for something else. BUt I have read a few reports of the food now at Cape May being not so great as they took some old favs off the menu. Plus the dinner time there is 6:3o pm, prime getting tired and hungry time. How far / long does it take to get from HS to the Beach CLub?? :confused3
