I think I had a successful resort changing intervention via text

Jeanette's DH was not happy with the RPC surprise. Not even Tigger or Pooh could convince him at CP. They went over to the GF and tried to cancel the one night 'surprise' reservation. GF told them they couldn't keep their WL room - sold out. I suggested she go right over to WL and ask the concierge to keep them in their suite or a standard CL room one more night and cancel RPC (I did this last year, but with the Poly and they had everything straightened out in 5 minutes.)

Good news: They were able to keep them in the suite the extra night that she had originally booked. All is well, and not only does DH love it there, but someone else does too

Thought this might be how it would go down. Lesson learned though, always talk to the CL at the resort you are trying to extend your stay at, not the one you are trying to cancel. The CL's at the GF have been very helpful finding ways to make things happen, when we are staying there...however, if your not, who knows. I am just so happy they are having a good time and that they get an extra night in the honeymoon suite at the WL!

I think I better text Jeanette so she knows I will still be speaking to her even though she isn't going to stay at my beloved GF. When the time's right, it will work out and she will stay there.

So, here's a pic of the table runner and the Halloween bunting. It arrived today, sheesh... that was QUICK!

Isn't it cute? Going to use those as decorations in the room.

In addition, what I've got planned via IPO on the night of our BC arrival are:
3 Halloween Themed Cupcakes
3 Champagne Flutes
1 Bottle of Sparkling Cider (so we can all share)
1 Small Minnie "Halloween Costume" Plush
1 Small Mickey "Halloween Costume" Plush
1 Halloween Pin

I've got to add a MNSSHP reusable tote bag to this list so she (I) can use it for Trick or Treatin' at the party. Also, I'm going to design a "Welcome Back, We Hear You're Coming to Our Party" letter from Minnie to bring with. And, now I'm on the hunt for a pattern to use for paper lanterns (I'll bring along some flickering LED tealight candles.)

How do all these shenanigans sound? Sorry, Halloween gets me all excited.

I admit, I never thought I'd be a resort changer. Now I have not only changed resorts (WL), but I cancelled our Disney cruise so we could stay longer at the new and different resort (AKV).

Thank you! Sure thing, I'm sure we'll have enough candy to share after the party. I'm going to try and find a template for some paper bag luminaries. (At least these decorations pack flat.) I hope they both enjoy it, the hubs and the kiddo.

When will you be there? I'm excited for you! It's such a blast. We're there from the 19th - 23rd (we get in on the 17th but staying at POR.) Never too early for Halloween stuff, at least in my opinion. I'm not sure when they put out the decorations in MK but our last two stays have been either the second or third week of September and they've had it all spiffy and Halloweenized. You can get quite a lot of the Halloween stuff right in the BC Marketplace. (IPO is getting everything from there except the cider and cupcakes.) Disney Florist had some quite cute Halloween things but nothing really "fit the bill" for what I was after.
