kook it should make you feel better that I don't care for the CR decor either so it just stands to reason that I don't like BLT. Now my daughter and all my grandkids loved BLT. They had a TPV and my grandson who slept in the chair turned it around so he could look at the castle all night!!! :goodvibes I think what I don't care for is just the modern decor. I'm a mountain and/or beach kind of girl so it just didn't fit the bill. I think that if you love CR you'll also like BLT!!!
Nope, I feel worse that you don't care for the décor at CR. Might I suggest therapy? Seriously, I do feel better now because you only disliked it because of the theming. Phew. I love those BLT rooms - sleek and modern and full of crayon marks!

Yes me thinks a discussion over cobbler is the ticket!!!!

And the bolded is your answer...although, please note my delayed OCI was TOTALLY CRO's fault..just sayin

I vote for Spring Break...because I should be there too...hopefully!!!

last night there was a news story about security breaches at our airport....DH is ...I plan on premedicating him with a beer, or 4

Keep Blut mommy!!!!!
BLUT stays, but no OCI and I did call CRO today. Those Chinese spies will never know what we're talking about on this thread;)

Tried to book both Christmas and spring break today, but they really do have those dates blacked-out for the discount. I'm hoping that like this past spring break, they can't fill rooms so they release the blackout at least for spring break.

Don't get DH too tipsy, we don't want him turning out like poor Randy Travis:rolleyes1

Running late this morning and off to a doctor's appointment. But I wanted wish our Jeanette and her DH safe travels. Have fun...You will be in WDW tonight!!!! and see Dani tomorrow:hug:
I do hope you had nothing but good news at your appointment.

Kook: My vote ... Keep BLT for the 3 nights ... it will make DD happy and it's really a win-win since you are moving over to your beloved WL (and you won't have to hear it from DD after this trip).

That's what I did, kept it mostly out of guilt and a strong sense of curiosity.

I also vote for Kook to keep BLT..and on Trip Advisor it's like in the top 20 best hotels in Orlando :thumbsup2
I'm LOL that you read those reviews, too and you even have their ranking memorized:rotfl:. BTW, VWL is #1 on AllEars:laughing:

Kook: I'm still :lmao: over Blut. Hmmm, Blut doesn't sound so good as a sandwich. Was a decision made? Will or Blut? (Can we call WL "Will"?)

I ordered some Halloween bunting (not the baby variety, the cloth flag variety) and a table runner last night off of Etsy; already have my shipping confirmation! :hyper: This is getting me quite excited about my little BC Halloween surprise. Just discussed when we should plonk down the dosh for the party tickets and we agreed to wait until the first of September. I don't think Immigrations will schedule an interview in less than 3 weeks notice. *crosses all appendages* Please don't, please don't, please don't... :worship:
DD sez... BLT is BLUT and WL is of course, Wilderness Lodge. Go figure. I'm not going to change Blut, but I did try to book a Deluxe room at WL today, but as usual, no discount. Hopefully, that was my last call to CRO, for this trip at least.

I love the term Halloween bunting. It's very classy:thumbsup2

janet, kook, step, IHTM and who else is doing the "I can do OCI" dance...magic too, right????....
I can do it, but I'm not. I've never seen a long line at the CR around 1100 so I can't imagine 'needing' to be in the OCI like. HOWEVER, I've only done OCI once before, just for fun, but it was for CL so I didn't get to stand in the OCI line. What if I don't like that line? What if it's longer than the regular line? But, this might be my only chance to ever stand in the line of unknown consequences! Maybe I should just do it...

Clothes Smothes. Just don't go getting yourselves arrested at Disney, mmmkay?

All hubs always think along those lines, don't they? :rotfl2:
Who will she text first from the Disney hoosegow? Don't forget, she is in the Honeymoon Suite:love::love2:

I wish I could OCI. No such luck. The last time I called the CM told me that when I switched from AKL to Poly that they made a whole new ressie with the same number instead of just switching out the resort so mine will never come back on the website. :confused3 :(

Have a great semi-clothed trip! :rolleyes1
I think the bolded would make cute tags!

With all the changes going on around here it's not surprising the tickers can't keep up!!! :rotfl2:
We haven't gotten a flea update today. Just sayin'.

Help me, help me...

OCI?

Obsessive Compulsive Individuals?
Overt Change-Itis?
Obvious Conversion Inclination?

Overly Confused I (am). :lmao:
The latter:rolleyes1

Once Jeanette returns we will update the list on page one! The question is will Kook's trip have changed?

Today's doctor was no big deal, just the eye doctor. New reading glasses :cutie: Monday is the big doctor's appointment, pixie dust greatly appreciated :wizard:
I'm so over yesterday's lapse in judgment and fleeting panic. But, should I do OCI?

Phew, OK, just the optometrist. Are you going to get some cute specs like HRH? I will be right there in spirit on Monday:hug:

JC I'm still in LA. DD and a friend are looking for an apartment that they could share. She's always lived alone so this could be interesting. :confused3

Have to go now .... almost to Newark!!! :rotfl2:

5 day dance!

Have a great semi-clothed trip!

:banana: with you and :lmao: at the 'semi-clothed' bit.

With all the changes going on around here it's not surprising the tickers can't keep up!!!

:lmao:

We should just employ constantly revolving tickers; they could even have a 'spin-around' animation sorta like Disney-esque Resort slot machines. :thumbsup2

Miss... Like mother like daughter! :thumbsup2 [miss, we are visiting my mom in upstate NY, at her cottage on Lake Ontario - some R&R before Disney!! :)

Miss ... I told ya...stuff INS in those packing cubes and its all good!

Oh, nice! A vacation before vacation. I love it.

I need to find me some extra-large air-tight packing cubes for them. :rolleyes1 :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: THANKS! For asking the question!! I was going in circles trying to figure it out too! ;) I like your ideas though, they could all be be-fitting anyone of us,

Phew. We need a chart of RCing acronyms. I wracked my brain over that one... context wasn't helping. :lmao:

Once Jeanette returns we will update the list on page one! The question is will Kook's trip have changed?

Missoutandabout, fingers crossed there are no immigration interviews coming up!!! You need to be in WDW when I am  Now then, if there is anything I can do to help with the decorating surprise let me know. I hope to see it in person

Today's doctor was no big deal, just the eye doctor. New reading glasses Monday is the big doctor's appointment, pixie dust greatly appreciated :wizard:

Oh, is the list officially on the front page now? Thank you! I was wondering where I should be looking. :goodvibes

Thanks for offering! I might just post some pics here of the goodies I bought beforehand -- and run the plan by all of you. This is the first time we've done a little surprise thing. Not sure I'll be able to keep it to myself until the trip. I'm glad I can come here and blab... :hyper: :grouphug:

Yay for new glasses! I'd rank new glasses slightly above a new pair of shoes or a new purse but below a freshly-booked Disney trip. :thumbsup2 Huge, heaping piles of industrial Costco-sized Pixie Dust headed your way for Monday...

... Phew. I love those BLT rooms - sleek and modern and full of crayon marks!

Crayon marks at BLT. Just think of them as little gifts from the next Mondrian. :rotfl:

Confusion is my most valued asset; although, 'packing cube prowess' is a very close second.

JC I'm still in LA. DD and a friend are looking for an apartment that they could share. She's always lived alone so this could be interesting.

Have to go now .... almost to Newark!!!

Oh, I hope the flat-mate works out well for your DD. Perhaps provide a bit of comfort and security until she wants to be on her own again? to you both.

Pedal to the metal! At the rate you're going, you can pick me up outside Chicago. Or have you flown by already? :rotfl2:

:drive:

We have only done OCI once and I have to say it was a bit of a letdown. I love walking into the resort, taking it all in. The smell, the decor, just being at WDW :goodvibes. I also love chatting with the CM checking us in. To me it's part of the experience. I missed that with OCI. I know, I am strange :)

I'll stop for just be outside waiting .... no time for messing around! :rotfl2:

Missoutandabout--Loved your comment about crayon marks on BLT walls. It's all in the eyes of the beholder. :rotfl:
Have fun selecting some new stylin specs!

JC--I just can't bring myself to OLC, I agree the experience is part of the fun of arrival. :cool1:

Kook--Those poor folks at CRO are going to be worried about you if you don't call them. Maybe you should check in now and then.:rotfl:

On another subject, Kook have I lost my mind again? Am I better off YC CL than the cottage suites at BWI? I haven't called to see if they are available with the discount, but they are showing availability online. Should I call? Should I just leave the phone alone? Thanks for any advice. You're like Dear Abby for the resort-torn. :rotfl2:

GG--Hope your DD finds a very nice place. :goodvibes

Janet--Have a wonderful cottage vacation. It sounds heavenly.:cloud9:

I have a bit of good news. Both my kids have been waiting to hear about new jobs for awhile. They both got firm word today that they got the jobs! No moves are involved, which is good, too.:thumbsup2

JUST HAD to post #2,000 :yay: with love and best wishes for our PAS!!! have an AMAZING ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND TRIP!!!!!! Much happiness and pixie dust wished for you and DH

Gwynne: Congratulations to your kids on their new jobs! :goodvibes

Right now I'd check in anyway I can ..... just as long as it is for WDW!!! :rotfl2:

Or check-in for that flight in Newark! We know that's headed in the right direction. :thumbsup2 I've brought along an industrial-sized hole punch so we can get enough air in the suitcases.

Congrats on 2k! :goodvibes I'm with you NOCI folks; I like the experience of checking in. Although our first couple of days will be trying out POR and we get in late, I might have to do OCI for that. Does that sound like a good idea? We won't be getting in until past 11pm.

We don't have to check in at Newark .... we're being checked!!!! :rotfl2:

If I'm getting in that late I do OCI .... I'm tired, anyone I'm with is tired and I just want to get into the room .... especially if it's only for a couple of days and then I'm moving to another resort.

Gwynne congrats to your kids on their new jobs!!! Not having to move is great especially if it keeps them close to mama! :thumbsup2

Thanks Missoutandabout and GG for your sweet thoughts!:goodvibes

I wish they lived close, but they are still in Wyoming and Florida. They are settled where they are, and we go visit. :cool1:

Sarah your not strange at all. Checking in is so exciting to me even when I have had to wait in. Long line once at AKL just standing looking around is something I don't want to miss.

Mondrian:rotfl: - of course - perfect! Blut will look like this:

That's it, I refuse to do OCI. If I can't chat with the CM and ruin his day by telling him how excited I am, and how I just came up from Boca, and how I've never stayed at BLT, but I've stayed many times at CR and how I changed the reservation a million times... Then it just won't be the same. You're right, it is part of the experience (but that experience is always better on CL;))

I am strange too...feel exactly the same way! :goodvibes
Then we'll all be strange together because I feel the same way - thanks.

Glad you're another crazy anti-OCI gal:thumbsup2

I think you would love the cottage - they are big and so cute. Have you seen all the photos on the first page of the BWI thread? If you don't mind being separated from the lounge, then I would choose the cottage over a standard YC CL room. Now, they do have the Jr. Suites at the YC that have CL access, but I think the cottages are nicer. You get your own picket fence and front yard! Call now before it's booked!

So happy for your kids. You must feel both proud and relieved - congratulations.

Sorry this is nothing more than a ticker check. :rotfl2:
And a post count enhancer!

++ ADD me too the NOCI!!! "NON" OCI group ;). I Feel the same as you about checkin -- especially club level check in :)
Is that NON as in the French for NO or NON as in NOT? Either way, it's perfect!

JUST HAD to post #2,000 :yay: with love and best wishes for our PAS!!! have an AMAZING ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND TRIP!!!!!! Much happiness and pixie dust wished for you and DH
Beautiful post count!

Oh Kook, that Randy Travis comment cracked me up:lmao:

I've never used online check-in.
I don't think Randy Travis uses OCI either. Glad Randy gave you a chuckle.

OH KOOK! :rotfl: I'd say NON as in NOT! :rotfl: I am NOT a lover of the thought of OCI....I love the checkin experience too much, especially club level....it makes me feel special/pampered, not something everyone gets to do, you know?! I love checking in at the special desk, while the kids grab snacks in the lounge, chatting with the CM, It all is part of the beginning of my vacation, it's just special to me and I'd hate to give it up and just check in at a counter .......that's just me, crazy, huh? ;)
