Pixarmom: Thanks for the lovely words about the fam! Ok, so how did I miss you are doing an Alaska cruise??? I sooo want to hear about it! We want to do this one, and maybe rebook on our cruise next year for it if they are still offering it!
Jen, we are SO excited about the Alaska cruise - it's the August 27 sailing, right before school starts. Perfect combination of new adventures and Disney. I'll definitely report back when we return!
Pas, Bree is adorable! And if I end up carrying a tweedle dum with a hoop back from MK to CR after
MNSSHP, I'll ask my husband to get a photo!
I am basically healed from my "face plant". I have an itchy, scabby chin, and am a bit bruised, but have put it behind me.
Speaking of monorails. For those of you going I will be curious to hear how they are running. When we were there in April, they were constantly breaking down. Not hearing much about that now, may it is better?!
Hi
JC! Glad to hear you're healing! I'm also interested in hearing monorail updates - staying at CR in October (although we'll likely walk to MK at least part of the time) and Poly in January - both part of split stays. Hoping for improved monorail operations!
Now I'm thinking of upgrading to BC...or 5 nights at CBR and 2 nights at Poly. Thoughts?? Never stayed at CBR or BC before.
Welcome,
Kohl! We've stayed at all three and really love both Poly and BC. BC is our favorite, but that's because I've always been an Epcot girl. I think the perfect combination is a split between BC and Poly - easy transportation to MK for the Poly stay and easy transportation to DHS and Epcot from BC. Good luck with your decision!
Kids are happy and healthy.
Great news,
Dani!! So excited about the final days of your countdown!
Did you nab any goodies?!
Miss, we did! Two
DCL track jackets for our older boys. They grow fast and need new sweatshirt-type clothes for the cruise. Can't wait to see them!
We do love Chef's de France. We can totally scrap Captain's Grille and go to WS for dinner. It's just a short walk.
Yay
Step - I hope you'll be happy with a WS dinner! Very short walk, I think, and so many good options.
Good morning resort changers!!! I'm new to this thread, but I feel better for having found it.....my name is Jill, and I'm a resort changer!
I'm really leaning towards the YC but I think he's leaning towards CR. oh, and a split stay is out of the question. So it's clear I belong here with other kindred spirits of change!!!!

. I'm pretty sure in the end we shoul put each of the 3 on pieces of paper then blindfold ourselves and throw a dart. If anyone has suggestions for each of these 3, I welcome ALL and any input!!!!!
Welcome,
Jill! I do love YC and we really enjoy so many things about the Epcot resort area, so that works well for us. (Actually, what really works best is a split stay between an MK resort and an Epcot resort, but I know that's not an option for you!) We also have lots of ADRs in Epcot, so if we had to choose one, it would probably be YC for overall atmosphere and location. Good luck with your decision!
...
So a little update on me

DH and I both got transfers, I will be making the same $, he will make a little bit more. We start the day after Labor Day. Our apartment is right on the main tourist strip in Kissimmee, behind Chili's and pretty much across the street from Orange World--just a couple blocks from Old Town. I have started to organize and trash stuff, but I'm dragging my feet when it comes to packing.
So before I go.... lets talk anniversary. I'm thinking of booking YC-CL for a night. Is that dumb?? I also thought of booking a LM room for New Years. I'm waffling.
Luv, this is SO exciting!!! I'm looking forward to hearing more about it as you make the move!
And absolutely book YC for a night for your anniversary - GREAT idea!
FYI, My spouse is a go with the flow kind of guy . He doesn't care where we stay, as long as he does not have to plan anything, or pack.
Welcome,
ellie'smom! Good to have a go-with-the-flow husband when you're a resort changer!
