I tried to post but it wouldn't work....I gotta figure it out when I have more time and am not at work :) For some reason I am not allowed to post attachments in my posts (according to my rules)....don't know why not? but i was going to try and upload as an attachment if I could have
This is sooo confusing!!! LOL

Hmmm, this might work...

1) Go to FB, bring up the snazzy new 'do pic, right-click on it and hit "Copy Image URL"

2) Come back here and start a reply. Then you've got two options on how to share: You can then either just link to the image by hitting the "Insert Link" button above and hitting Ctrl+V or you can hit the "Insert Image" button above and hit Ctrl+V and it will embed the image in your reply.

Hope that helps ya out.

I LOVE Snow White. She's been my favorite princess since my first trip to Disneyland as a little girl. Just found my porcelain Snow White doll and put her up on the shelf in my DD16mo's room. :-)

Yep she's my favorite princess. Any girl that can talk 7 men into working in a jewel mine for her and she still gets her prince is my kind of girl!!! :rotfl2:

Marie! I love it! Very sassy. :thumbsup2 Love the highlights...

Also, the glasses... YAY! :cool2:

(It works, you did great! Also editing to add: Sorry about the "Copy Image URL", it's different depending on the browser. You got it in the end so that's all that matters.)

Edit 2: Your new salon gets a thumbs up from me.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Dani Only 11 more Days!

Pas I so wish I had be enable to talk DH into moving to Florida years ago.

Beautiful day here the humidity left sunny and mid 80's. Trying to stick to my "diet" as I go see one of my Drs Friday :scared1: Bob went yesterday for some Ehco thing and seems his circulation in his legs/feet is not good, he went back today for blood tests but the 2 girls in the Dr office could not draw it so they told him they will do it on next Monday when he sees the Dr :confused3. I have a really bad feeling about it.

Other than that life is good :lmao:

Have a good day all!

Awww.... thanks, Pas! :goodvibes Kook fixed it up in her post below! (Thanks Kook! I couldn't figure it out!)

I hope so, I wanna see it!:goodvibes

Me too! I wanna see Gorgeous Miss Marie!!!

My airplane is about to hit Mickey in the ear....WOOHOO!!!

WL here we come!!!!!!!

Candace, safe travels home today

So I'm new to the Resort Changers board here, but I am ALWAYS changing my mind...about ADRs, our itinerary, resort, etc. Right now we're booked at CBR for 9/8-9/15 in a pirate room. (DS5, DD16mo, and DH). This was a change from our original POR reservation. Now I'm thinking of upgrading to BC...or 5 nights at CBR and 2 nights at Poly. Thoughts?? Never stayed at CBR or BC before.
Welcome aboard, Koh1977!

Good morning resort changers!!! I'm new to this thread, but I feel better for having found it.....my name is Jill, and I'm a resort changer!

It all started with our first trip in 2010.....we went big...GF and deluxe dining. Well, it spoiled us. We got a 40% off code, so let's be honest, it was a good choice! It was a September trip, so with the pin code, it was downright reasonable! But it may have ruined us for anything else.

Fast forward to plans for our 2013 trip....clearly,since we're going in June, we are at a higher rate and less likely to see the 40% code. So....the dilemma is what do we pick now? And I'm turning my DH insane over thinking this.

I first thought WL. It's close to MK, so it's kinda like being on the monorail again....just without the monorail.....then we priced out the YC. I loved it, but my DH wasn't sure it would feel like a Disney vacation since we weren't near MK. good lord man, really? Then we priced out CR since it actually IS on the monorail. And while gorgeous, it didn't feel like Disney to me or him. :confused3

So that's my dilemma.....and all the while, I know he wants to go back to the GF, but it's just not in the budget. I'm really leaning towards the YC but I think he's leaning towards CR. oh, and a split stay is out of the question. So it's clear I belong here with other kindred spirits of change!!!! . I'm pretty sure in the end we shoul put each of the 3 on pieces of paper then blindfold ourselves and throw a dart. If anyone has suggestions for each of these 3, I welcome ALL and any input!!!!!
:welcome: and for a no split stay I'd stay at the CR. It's our second favorite behind WL/CL. We love the view of Bay Lake from a Tower room and the easy walk on the walkway to the MK is fabulous. There are great dining options and you're on the monorail which runs right smack dab through the resort:worship:

I realized today thay the AP rate was better for my BC stay so when I called to change the rate I switched to YC. Guess I had to get my money's worth for the call.

I know I said I wouldn't do YC CL again, but I've eaten my words before and I'm sure I'll do it again. DH won't stay without CL and I'm still not ready for the BC.

kook - see you in the lounge!
Ahoy, ahoy! Excellent move and I shall see you in the Regatta Club.
Kook will be in WDW when I'm moving in... I may have to make the 3 mile drive over to say hi!

So a little update on me  DH and I both got transfers, I will be making the same $, he will make a little bit more. We start the day after Labor Day. Our apartment is right on the main tourist strip in Kissimmee, behind Chili's and pretty much across the street from Orange World--just a couple blocks from Old Town. I have started to organize and trash stuff, but I'm dragging my feet when it comes to packing.

DH just got his fixed so he can sell it!! We have a buyer, he just needed to get it up and running.

My stepmom is coming to get the 10 year old dog. I've been watching her until she could get herself in order, and I pretty much told her that she better hurry because we're only taking Baxter. I think Baxter will be sad when she goes--but I think Chassis will be for joy.

Carpal Tunnel is still bad. I'm on terrible interim insurance that they offered me with severance, so I'm going to wait until I move and jump on DHs to get it checked out by someone down there. I wish they would have done the release in February when I asked for it. Six months of pain in your main hand is just a touch on the annoying side. They never did get me a medication that didn't make me sick.

It still hasn't set in that in 5 weeks I will be moving right by my happy place!! I am so close that it's scary. Check out the maps on caneislandliving.com!! We've got most of our furniture on order--and I'm pumped to get new stuff!!

So before I go.... lets talk anniversary. I'm thinking of booking YC-CL for a night. Is that dumb?? I also thought of booking a LM room for New Years. I'm waffling.
"I MAY have to make the 3 mile trip"? Hmmphhh, well, I wouldn't want you to have to suffer by going to WDW immediately after arriving. How about if I lure you over with those bath bombs or a pin?

YC/CL for one night would be fun! I think you should do it, but wait till you're an official FL resident with a driver's license;)

I'm sorry that you're in lots of pain. Hopefully, you can get some relief in September. Will you go to Celebration Hospital?

Great news on the salaries! With no state income tax, you should come out ahead over being a KY resident. Please keep us updated!!!!

Hello Everyone,
My name is Ellie's mom and I am a serial resort changer.
I have changed resorts every single trip for the last 6 years
I always start with just one resort , read all about it then compare it to others. This is when I change my mind .
Then I do the split stay.
Then I change one of those resorts because a promo has come out.
I confess this goes on over a period of months.
This year I started out booking POP, then came the POP,and POR , now because of free dining (my siren call) I am doing the Dolphin and POR.
I'm not looking for help or a cure, for my "problem" . I just want some understanding.
FYI, My spouse is a go with the flow kind of guy . He doesn't care where we stay, as long as he does not have to plan anything, or pack.:goodvibes
You've found your new home, ellie'smom. We all understand you more then you might know...

I was not a resort changer until this trip.....thanks GF construction:rotfl2:

sydneysmom- We originally picked CR because of the walk to MK-we really liked CR and enjoyed our time there. When I made the res for T'giving 2009 it wasn't available and we made the switch to GF and now there is no going back....ok except for this trip when we are temporary WLers
Temporary? Why temp? I'll have to work on getting you permanent WL status.
Restaurant month in Orlando-September

For RCers visiting Orlando in Sept., this is a deal. The page will show menus as we get closer to Sept.

http://www.visitorlando.com/magicaldining/restaurants/

We won't be there in Sept this year, but we have enjoyed this in the past. I made reservations early, the restaurants do fill up. It's very nice to see Blue Zoo and Il Mulino on the list, great dining, fantastic savings, and onsite.:goodvibes
(And a bit of a tip--sometimes you have to specifically ask for the Restaurant Month menu, some restaurants don't just give it to you automatically.)
I hope Deena saw this, Gwynne. Won't she be taking us all out?
:rotfl:
Wow, that is such exciting news! Love the hood; you are on the quiet side of the 192 street.

 Hello RCers one and all!!!! Glad to find the new thread! Thanks pas130. Been busy here but I'm gonna play catch up and read all your good goings-on. :surfweb: RESORT CHANGING NEWS: We upgraded our Poly room to Lagoon (and hopefully Fiji bldg), so we are happy, happy, happy for that!!! With so many RCers leaving now or soon, I hope I don't miss anyone, so I will say ENJOY! to all for now!
Are you going to help Deena move like Keith Hernandez? Better not, if you want to remain friends.

Hi everyone
My name is Lisa, and I am a chronic resort changer. In fact, just last night, hubby & I got into a little tiff regarding my serial resort changing status!

We are DVC owners at Bay lake, and have only stayed there once for four nights on our honeymoon, then switched over to WL & Yacht club.

Last december, we took a last minute 4 night trip to AKL, Savannah view at Jamo, and fell in LOVE with the resort..:lovestruc
And in december, everything is just beautiful.

So naturally, we wanted to stay there again this december for a full week this time....I booked BLT at our 11 month window for 12/7-12/15, then at 7 months tried to switch over to AKL , but there was no availability. So we waitlisted. Then I started thinking of how nice it would be to see those icecicle lights on the castle during the night, the fireworks, being on the monorail loop. Walking to MK. So I called and cancelled our waitlist at the urging of DH who kept saying to me "let's just stay at bay lake and enjoy our home resort for once. We didn't give it a fair chance last time". To which I did..

:rotfl: So, here's how the argument started last night. DH "So, can't wait for december, huh"?

Me: "Can't wait..but I was thinking..maybe I will waitlist again for Wilderness lodge or AKL. Or boardwalk..what do you think"

DH: "We go through this once a week...leave it alone, you are driving me crazy!"

So yup, I have a problemo!!!

What are everyone elses plans? any fellow december diss'ers?
No, you don't have a problem, this all makes perfect sense to us. Feel free to share your resort rumination with us anytime.

Kook: Hope the lab work goes well.
Thank you. It was just routine/repeat, silly Thyroid testing.

My airplane is about to hit Mickey in the ear....WOOHOO!!!

WL here we come!!!!!!!

:rotfl:

Guaranteed, if there is longer than a 20 min wait...we're moving on....

except Epcot, we'll have adult frosty beverages in hand ready & willing to wait
We almost always use the 20 minute rule or the FP rule. It's so nice not having to tour WDW commando style.

September 8-15 BC. :-). 45 days and counting!
Congratulations on the switch!

I'd be willing to wait in glacially-slow lines anywhere if I had a Grey Goose slushie and/or a Lapu Lapu in hand. :lmao:
I'd need a masseuse for glacially slow. Do you think you'll be OK until you get back before you have surgery? Do you and Deena have the same affliction?

http://://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/549540_10151068355206676_705737287_n.jpg

I doubt this will work because there was not a copy URL option when I right-clicked. I had to open propeties and copy the URL from there. I will try more options later if this doesn't work :)

ETA: I tried clicking it and it did not work :( I'm stumped! LOL
You just forgot to click-on the yellow postcard above so that your image address would include IMG at the front and back. Here you go:

Afternoon, RCers,

Heather, Hope things go well as you start the school year. Thanks for another amazing photo!!:cool1:

Kook, 24 days till your vacation? Why that’s just around the corner!! :goodvibes

Dani, Hooray for the 11 day dance!!:dance3:

Jungle Cruiser,
Won’t be long until you’re relaxing in Stormalong Bay!!:goodvibes

Chimu2u and Pas,
MasterChef is such fun. We look forward to both nights each week, too!:thumbsup2

Magic, Sounds like it’s time for a Poly ressie happy dance! :dance3:

MissOutandabout, I’ve not eaten at Blue Zoo, but we had drinks there. I would bring kids there, especially for an earlier ressie during restaurant month. I looked and found their kids menu, http://allears.net/menu/menu_bzk.htm It’s a pricy kids menu, but maybe with the offset of the 3 course deal for the grown-ups it might work out overall nicely. Hope you continue to get good news, health wise, and are on the mend!:goodvibes

GG-What a great idea to make the laundry room a Disney happy place. And I loved your fabulous quote: “Any girl that can talk 7 men into working in a jewel mine for her and she still gets her prince is my kind of girl!!! Absolutely!:thumbsup2

Koh1977, Congrats on Beach Club!!:dance3:

Waving hi to RC friends I missed!

So, thanks to Gwynne's link about Magical Dining, I went ahead and reserved an early dinner at Bluezoo. Figure earlier the better with the kiddo. I assume she'll be fine at this sort of restaurant but ya never know. ;) She's not too much of a stranger to nicer places so fingers crossed. (Her preschool did a question of the week sorta thing and used to post all the kid's answers on a bulletin board. One of the questions was: "What's your favourite thing to do with Mom & Dad?" All the other kids were answering: "Playing ball", "Reading" or "Having a Movie Night." My kiddo's answer? "When we go to <Name of Local Wine Bar / Restaurant> all the time!" So. Busted. I swear they have a kids menu. They do, honest. :rotfl:)

Thanks Gwynne! Looking forward to trying Bluezoo out. :goodvibes

I'd need a masseuse for glacially slow. Do you think you'll be OK until you get back before you have surgery? Do you and Deena have the same affliction?

Ah, that sounds even better: adult bevvies and a masseuse. :thumbsup2

No surgery needed per the physiatrist who performed the nerve test yesterday. :goodvibes She wants to do an MRI to check on my discs and vertabrae in my neck but thinks PT will do the trick to heal my wonky hand and arm.

Edit: LOL, Gwynne. I'm doing my normal slow-as-molasses posting before I had seen your post.

I think I'm seconds away from changing the entire trip from CBR to BC!! Then to the itinerary and ADR changes as a result! :-)

YAY!!!!!

.
Gwynne: Thanks for that post and that link! Have you been to Blue Zoo? I was wondering how "child friendly" it is? Since we're at the BC (hopefully!), I checked out their menu and I have to admit... it does look might tempting. We don't do the dining plan so hmm...

Big, huge hugs from me to everyone... :grouphug:

If nothing shows there, she thinks PT will be the best course of action and will provide relief. Phew.

Miss, hope all turns out well and PT helps!

And we've been to Bluezoo with kids - LOVE it. My husband was laughing when we arrived because it sounded like it might not be child-friendly, but it's still Disney with strollers and kids. We've taken our kids to most of the signature restaurants - even our youngest (currently age 5) who has lots of energy. Our strategy is a little different, though. When we started taking the kids to signatures, we booked early ADRs (like 5:30pm) thinking that would work best. We found that it was not only too early for us to eat, but it was REALLY quiet because there were so few other guests in the restaurant - so I would be stressed even when our youngest was talking in an entirely acceptable "inside voice." When we started making ADRs at 7pm (with snacks in the club lounge or elsewhere before) it was a much better fit. Restaurants were filling up with other guests by then, and our youngest could talk in at a regular "inside voice volume" - we were all much more comfortable. And as much energy as he has, he literally just falls over and goes to sleep when he's tired. That happens at most restaurants and then my husband, older two boys and I just enjoy the remainder of the meal at a relaxed pace. Anyway, book whatever time works for you and your kids, but just wanted to mention how much we love Bluezoo and that we found it more comfortable with kids at around 7pm than 5:30pm.

Nothing very fun to report. We moved into a smaller house about 1 1/2 years ago and I've been having trouble making everything fit so lots of stuff in packed in boxes. Well today I finally got organized enough to find a spot for all my Snow White snow globes! As strange as it sounds my laundry room is decorated in a Disney theme. Pictures of all the resorts I've stayed at on the wall. Now I've managed to clear off a shelf and all my globes fit on it perfectly!!! :thumbsup2

GG, that's such a happy thought! I need to clean up the laundry room in our house a bit, and I like this idea. Would make it more pleasant to do the laundry!

YAY!!!!!

Great advice, danke! When I made the ressie, I was torn between 6:45 and 7 but went with the earlier -- think it might be filling up by then? I could always switch it to 7pm.

The menu sounds... so ... good. Going to go and not look at anything about it anymore before I start drooling on myself. :lmao:

Ok, so now that I will obviously be changing some ADRs since we are at the BC now, what are some must dos in that area? And where would you say is the best sushi?

I've heard California Grill at contemporary and KONA Sushi Bar at the POLY have amazing sushi! That's one thing I'm braving on my trip....I'm always a safe sushi gal (can you say California roll :thumbsup2) :rotfl: I am going to try some real sushi on my trip.....the spicy Kazan roll at Cali grill sounds yummy, as does the dynamite roll :) hope I like it!

Sorry, wish I could be of some help but sushi is the one thing I don't eat. But as for other ideas don't forget you will be within easy walking of all the great places in WS.

Hi RC family. Super busy day today. Had to take Danimal to his doctor in the city. They switched his meds and we start them tomorrow. I'm hoping these help better than the others we are using because I might not make it to our next appointment if they don't. Between the stress at home and the stress at work I'm having serious chest pains and I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack any day now. I'm exhausted from today but I will get caught up tomorrow....after I do our online check-in! :cheer2:

Dani please try to destress (is that even a word) and relax. You need to take care of yourself so you can take care of your babies. Do we need to do a RCer flash attack on your boss? Cuzz you know we will!!! Once you get the work situation taken care of I think the home front will fall into place. I hope the new meds work better than whatever Danimal is taking now.

On a happier note .... online check-in!!! :banana::banana::banana::yay::yay::yay:

I'm baaaaaaaaaack!!!! :rotfl2:

We had an AMAZING trip. We landed about 2 hours ago, so I'm going to bed! I have a lot to catch up on....good thing I don't go back to work until Monday!

Welcome back! So glad you had a safe trip. I can't wait for ALL the details!

SO I waited up to complete online check-in....and you can't do it at midnight. :furious: I will have to do it in the morning....and I definitely won't be sleeping tonight! I'm so FREAKIN excited. Now I know how DS feels when he's off his meds! :hyper:
