She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

It sounds like your day was a fun filled one but an exhausting one. I love the pictures with the hats and the Norway pics as well. Those girls are just adorable.

Mary~ More cute pictures of the girls... and yes, even the one with Kathy riding on a horse. :lmao::lmao:

I did not realize how far behind I was! Finally I am caught up!
The Stitch pictures are great, even for an illegal alien experiment.:cool1:
I guess I need to catch this show sometime! I have seen all of the others, but whenever I have made it to MK for rope drop I am typically "at the rope" and you can't see what's going on above you when you're there! :guilty:
I refuse to believe there are any "rope drop shows" at any park but MK. Last year (after I read about RD shows on DIS) we arrived at each park at least once 15-20 minutes before opening and never saw anything even resembling a show or the remnants of one, except for the day when ferry pulled up just as the MK show was finishing up.

Here's the "redneck photo" from Space Mountain:

You do NOT look thrilled here Kathy!:lmao:

Here are the flowers that Ms Kathy mentioned

Mary - Great flower shots and the shot with the girls is just beautiful. Do you make a calendar with photos for every month? I would have such a hard time choosing!

I see so many fun photos of kids with Zurg and am mad at myself for thinking that kids were not supposed to go behind the bars. Hopefully Katie won't be too big next time we go.
Responses later...I promise.

Went to see my breast surgeon today. I have now officially gotten the clean bill of health and no longer have to see my oncologist or take my medication.

:woohoo:
:cool1::cool1: NOW THAT IS A CELEBRATION KATHY!

So thrilled for you! I am glad you got an awesome "present" on my birthday ;)

Avery had the kids PBJ:

I have never seen such a big PB&J sandwich at WDW - or is it the zoom of the photo? seems to me that Katie always just got the smuckers pockets -- even I would order that one!

These pics are so great. I can guarantee that when Avery & Cayley are all grown, one of these two shots of them will be sitting in a frame. Makes me think of a special picture I have with my sister Tricia :goodvibes

We sat on the curb right across the street from the Train Station on Main Street. These turned out to be great seats as it turns out the parade was only going up to the hub and then turning around and going back because of the construction in Frontierland.

The kids got lots of high fives from the characters and they had a ball.
What a great spot for the parade! (we "fell into" a similar spot as we walked off the train one day.)

We then went to the room to put on slightly warmer clothes. In the process, Cayley had a little accident and fell here:

GirlsTrip2012001.jpg

This was the first of many times I said to Mary, "she's your daughter." Cayley would just do the goofiest things and I would crack up.
:lmao:so Funny and cute! Joe and I are forever pointing at each other saying the same thing, I totally get it!

Rest of MK pics

Sorry they are blurry but had to be shared for Mr Mark :)
Fun hat photos and this one of the ball is a great screen saver shot!

I have no idea how I got so far behind.

Kathy- Congrats on the clean bill of health and on the upcoming engagement:banana:

I love all of the pictures of girls. They are so adorable::lovestrucIt looks like everyone is having so much fun together.:goodvibes I'm not going to copy and paste pictures b/c Mary Ellen did a great job picking out the best ones. Can I just copy her post and say "ditto"?

I especially love the SM picture and the merry go round. You can see the joy in everyones faces. (Well, maybe not Kathy on SM)

Mmm, that PB and J sandwich does look good:thumbsup2

First I loved the Carrousel pix of the 3 Ladies !!:love::love:Also the tribute to Mr Mark and his Hats !!:lmao:
I am with Karin we want DETAILS of the proposal

Thanks, Rosie. Details, if given to me, will be forthcoming this weekend.

hoping Markie doesn't get to nervous with the proposal...winging it is okay

I don't think Markie is nervous; I think he just wants to get it over with. :lmao::lmao:

I did not know the grand marshall of the parade got to drive in such a cool car!

I thought they used to be in one of those red car/bus type things?

Fun pictures---especially love all the hat pics in honor of Mr. Mark! :)

YAY for that (hopefully) tax refund to fund other Disney trips!

Let us know about the proposal!

Thanks, Michelle.

I'm hoping for that tax refund too.

Dear Kathy, Yes, I am all caught up again and I must say I thought your title was going somewhere else as well! LOVE all of the pics. We used to LOVE the schoolbread, we tried it again in October (we planned to share it because last time it was HUGE, this tie it was...disappointing. I don't know if it was never that good and I was simply blinded by the handsome guy behind the counter who suggested it, or if it really wasn't as good...I LOVE the land, but miss the individual guides on each boat, it really was better then in IMHO. LOVE Mexico...everything from the ride, to the mdse to the glass blowers, which my middle two children REALLY enjoy! Mary, I have said it before but your daughters are so cute!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc Kathy, Looking forward to seeing pics form the BIG proposal night! At least of the ring on the beautiful fiancées' hand!!!

Thanks, Judy. I wondered if anyone would get the point of the thread title.

Markie promises me pictures.

Great MK and Epcot pics!

Thanks, Tanz.

Mary~ More cute pictures of the girls... and yes, even the one with Kathy riding on a horse. :lmao::lmao:

Are you picking on me, Tim?

I did not realize how far behind I was! Finally I am caught up!
The Stitch pictures are great, even for an illegal alien experiment.
Thanks! What I won't do for my DIS friends (posing with Stitch)

You do NOT look thrilled here Kathy!:lmao:

Trust me, I was NOT thrilled. :scared1:

NOW THAT IS A CELEBRATION KATHY!

So thrilled for you! I am glad you got an awesome "present" on my birthday ;)

Thanks, MaryEllen. It was a great present on YOUR birthday. :)

The hat photos were fun; Mark was pouting the other day and said he is NOT doing hat photos anymore because everyone is stealing his theme for them. :rotfl::rotfl:

I have no idea how I got so far behind.

Kathy- Congrats on the clean bill of health and on the upcoming engagement:banana:

Thanks, Diane. I am super excited about the engagement. This week is going to drag by until he proposes.

It was a fun time. Yes, you can just say ditto.

Yep, NO joy on my face on SM!

Mark wants that PBJ when we go in September. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Let's see if we can actually get this update done (I tried at least a half dozen times at the office, but the DIS was/is acting up again.

So it was now Saturday, January 28 and the second full day of our trip. This was our Animal Kingdom morning. We woke up around the same time as we did yesterday – 7:15 or so. Same routine – I showered and then went to get coffee while Mary got up and got the girls up and ready. Soon we were headed to the Bus Stop and a bus was there within minutes.

While on the bus, Avery decided she wanted her hair in pigtails, so Mary did it on the bus ride over.

GirlsTrip2012001.jpg

Once through bag check and the turnstile, we waited for Christie (bouncycat) to arrive with her husband Chris and son, Tyler. Chris brought the girls little goodie bags that had a baby Simba and some other fun stuff.

It was decided that the first order of business was Expedition Everest. As I no longer care to do this ride, I was thrilled that Christie, Chris and Tyler would take Avery, and Mary, Cayley and I could wait for them. I did take a few pictures while they went on the ride.

After the group exited EE, we decided to head to the Safari. On the way over, the girls had to play the drums:

GirlsTrip2012010.jpg

Before getting in line, we had to take a picture of Christie's new wheels:

GirlsTrip2012011.jpg

We then proceeded to the line and with Christie’s GAC pass, we were all able to bypass the long line, and go through the fastpass and get on a special vehicle for Christie’s chair. We had front row seats and I was able to get LOTS of pictures this time—it was great. Here is a "small" sample of the pictures I was able to get:

Up next, hooking up with Mary's friend who lives in Florida and where do we go next?

That was an awesome Safari ride!! It was right after a cool front, so the animals were out. That handicapped car is NICE!! They don't squish you in like they do with the main ones.

Dh painted my wheels. He's really good at it. This was the first day out with this new set of wheels. They're good and broken in now!! I get lots of good comments on it!!!

Avery was a trooper on EE!!! She had fun! The wind was cool on my face, being that early LOL

You got some really nice safari pictures. But, my favorite pictures are the ones of the girls playing the drums. Those are all really cute!

Sounds like it was a nice start to the day!

After riding the safari and having some great photo ops, we met Mary's friend Heather and her two daughters (I am not listing the daughters name and will be "blurring" their pictures as I don't have permission to post them).

It was decided to go and catch the next showing of The Lion King. Although there were now 10 of us and not 6, the very nice CM at the turnstyle let all of us through with Christie's GAC pass. Christie had her spot and the girls were all in the front row with her. The rest of us sat in the second row right behind them.

Some of the opening number:

The seats were perfect for the kids. And before you knew it, Cayley was asking to be a "lion" since we were in the lion section.

It was a great show and we all had a blast. Thanks again, Christie!

Up next, Kathy gets to go with ALL the girls to a new place for lunch

Great update!!! I think "my monkey" had the day off. :rotfl2:

FOLK always puts a smile on my face. :)

Lots of great Safari pictures. I always get more than one backside. :lmao:

great safari photos love the baby elephants, even the back view :lmao:....nice you got to be in on Christy GAC, she does have some cool wheels :cool1:

fun Cayley got picked to be part of FOTlK, I can just hear her roar! always a favorite show for us to see! Megan loved the "Bird Lady" when she was little!

Love all of the FOTLK pictures! How fun that Cayley got to be the lion for y'alls section!

Loving the updates, Ms. Kat and Mary!!

The pictures are amazing, Mary. Thank you for sharing! :thumbsup2

Love that Cayley got to be head lion for her group!! :cool1: I bet she made a great lion sound!! So great the kids got to be apart of the fun.

FOTLK is probably my favorite show in all of WDW! :cloud9:
I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking what an amazing show!! It's so great y'all got to see it up close and personal. :woohoo:

Didn't see Ms. Pat's monkey boy though. :sad2:

Love Christie's wheels! Tigger stripes! :tigger: Very cool. :cool2:

The updates are fast and furious, Ms. Kat. Y'all are doing a great job! :)

While on the bus, Avery decided she wanted her hair in pigtails, so Mary did it on the bus ride over.
Well, you are going to Animal Kingdom. Also acceptable: pony tail, lion tail, giraffe tail, monkey tail, fish tail or dinosaur tail.

After the group exited EE, we decided to head to the Safari. On the way over, the girls had to play the drums:
Do you ever read the backs of your park tickets? It's actually against the rules - and subject to ejection - if you walk past these drums without playing them. True Story.

We had front row seats and I was able to get LOTS of pictures this time—it was great. Here is a "small" sample of the pictures I was able to get:
Great pictures Kathy!

This next guy leaped right in front of our vehicle:
Poor guy. Was there a lot of blood? How did the girls react? Did you explain that they would now take him over to Flame Tree BBQ so he could continue in the great circle of life?

The seats were perfect for the kids. And before you knew it, Cayley was asking to be a "lion" since we were in the lion section.
Looks like she did a great job!

Great pictures of the show - now I have The Lion King soundtrack stuck in my head. (And no, that's not a bad thing.:thumbsup2)

Great updates Kathy.:thumbsup2

You got some great shots on the safari.

That is great that Cayley got picked for the show. What a cutie.

So bummed I can't see pictures right now, but it sounds like you guys had a blast on the safari and in the Lion King show!

I'll be back!

Looks like a great start to the AK day :) Loved that baby elephant. We had a good view of him too. I looked for those drums and couldn't find them. Are they over by EE? We didn't go over there since no one in our group wanted to go on it. We missed alot at AK :( Have to do better next time.

What a great update! It's so much fun meeting up with other Disers and new friends at the park. I missed a call from Christie during one of our last trips because my phone was acting up during Star Wars Weekends and I hated that we didn't get to meet.

How cool that Cayley was chosen to be the lion at Festival of the Lion King! That's one of my favorite shows in all of Walt Disney World.

She did do an awesome lion roar!! Kathy, don't know if you saw me pointing at Caylee on my lap when the guy was looking for someone. That guy has seen me there before, and always smiles and waves at me!! Mostly cause I always request to be put in the lion section!!

I was SOOOO glad the girls got the opportunity to participate!!! That was my goal!

Anyways, here's some of my pics from AK!

EE with Avery!

AnnualPass2012001.jpg

She screamed and had her hands up almost the whole way!! It was too cute! I'm sure I had a smile on my face the whole time as well. That's what keeps me going to WDW, the kids!! I could watch little kids all day long!

Safari

AnnualPass2012004.jpg

AnnualPass2012005.jpg

The thing that sticks out in my head about the safari was the cheetahs. They were actually MOVING!!! I don't think I've ever seen them moving around their area before!! I got a couple outside and in the lion king show. A couple of them has Heathers kids, and I'm not sure how to blur them, so I won't post them :)

AnnualPass2012023.jpg

My guys!

AnnualPass2012027.jpg

AnnualPass2012031.jpg

We parted ways with them after the Lion King show, and we headed to MK so I could get the parade done for my quest. We had an awesome day with them, and we did see them again!! I won't ruin that day tho :)

Thanks for the comments on my ride. My hubby knows I'm self consious about needing it, and makes it a little better for me by painting it. I have leg braces as well, and those are painted the same way, AND are autographed by Tigger himself!! I'm gonna get the chair autographed as well, as soon as I get a chance to see Tigger again :lmao:
