She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

Blech! :crazy2:

It was really gross.

It was a girls' trip. You probably did and just don't remember it. ;)

Probably.

And you had a great Day 1!

It was a great first day.

Love your updates! I especially love the picture of Cayley in the suitcase. Precious! :goodvibes

Sounds like y'all were having a lot of fun at Epcot. Can't wait to hear what kind of fun the next day brings.

Cayley was an absolute hoot with the things she came up with or just did.

It was a fun first day.

Time between trips goes so slow. The time we're in Disney goes way too fast. It's completely unfair.

Totally agree.

Love the Epcot pics! I've never seen a picture of Spaceship Earth that didn't make me giddy. :)

Spaceship Earth always reminds me of my Dad. :goodvibes

you did a lot for your first day!

that mac n cheese does look yucky! looks like it glowing

cute pics of the girls in the shops, and funny one of you and cayley on earth!

We did quite a bit accomplished the first day. The mac was just gross.

Well, finally all caught up again after being away camping with the scouts this past weekend! Love the pictures of the girls back to back at Adventureland! And Cayley sitting in the middle of the suitcase is a hoot!

So you ate at The Plaza. Did you see one of my favorite HMs there? I hesitate to post a picture of that one since I don't think I've seen anyone else post about finding it....... :rolleyes1

I think if you were in a bad mood, Cayley could make you feel better with her silliness.

The Plaza -- yes, my must-do. No, I have never seen a Hidden Mickey there but I will look for it in September.

Looks like a solid plan to me.:rolleyes1

Any time a Pina Colada in Florida is involved, it is a solid plan. :)

Great ride. Who doesn't like Mickey shaped fruit?

Agreed.

It was seeing all that food being grown, wasn't it? Makes me hungry too.

I never thought of it that way, but you are probably right.

It's a Small Mexico!!!!:cool1::woohoo:

Not a fan, but the gilrs enjoy it.

How was the movie?:confused3

With the girls, we skipped the movie. But I will say that Mark and I watch it once a year (it could definitely use an update though).

Great update! Looks like it was a fun filled day.:thumbsup2

It was a fun day.

Sorry I am missing your pictures, but its sounds like you had a fun evening (all except for Cayley's fall).

So what did you drink at the gurgling suitcase? I hope you had the turtle crawl. I loved that drink.

Be back later!

Cayley's fall was a hoot. Mary had the Turtle Crawl and she liked it; I had my Pina Colada.

Aaaahhh! The reveal of the TR name! Excellent!

Mary suggested it -- so she gets full credit (I know I said
she's your daughter" often enough.

I assume you mean the menu of Sunshine Seasons. That's our favorite counter service in Disney World!

Yes, SS is what I meant. Mark and I like it too, but it wasn't working for Mary with the girls.

MMmmmm....school bread. :thumbsup2

Mark tried the school bread two years ago; he said it was "okay." I didn't try it...I don't do coconut.

Haha Cayley is hilarious!

Love the Epcot update :thumbsup2

The girl can crack you up, that's for sure.

It looks like you had a great day! :goodvibes

And that Mac and Cheese doesnt even look good

Can't wait to see what the next day has in store for you!

It was a great day; and that Mac and Cheese was just

Awww, Cayley is too cute! :)

Looks like a fun night in Epcot, although the mac and cheese does look really gross!

I love Spaceship Earth so much, I can't believe we didn't ride it at all in December!

I can't believe you didn't ride it either. :confused3

Great update Kat!!!! Them girls are WAY too cute!!! :)

Thanks, Christie.

That Mac-N-Cheese looks disgusting!

Glad you were able to enjoy an adult beverage and then some of Epcot. :goodvibes

An Adult Beverage is ALWAYS a good thing. :goodvibes

Looks like you had a fun evening at EPCOT. Love Mexico's ride, but I have no idea why. Maybe its the fake fireworks? :confused3

It was a fun evening, just wish it hadn't been quite so busy.

Sorry they are blurry but had to be shared for Mr Mark :)

Love this pair of updates Kathy!:goodvibes That Cayley is such a ham! I love it, so much personality.:thumbsup2 What fun to be around these little ones, right Kat? And now I know the secret behind the TR title.

I'm still amazed at all that you ladies accomplished in your first day! You're an inspiration to us all!

I love the Living with the Land boatride.:goodvibes Good choice, though it stinks that Soarin' FP's were out.

That mac-n-cheese looks nasty! It's look like what I'd imagine McDonald's mac-n-cheese would look like, if they made it. Plastic, fake and ew! Did Cayley eat it?

Nice Mr. Mark hat tribute.:thumbsup2

I know it's sacriledge here on the DIS but I do not like the schoolbread. How was yours?

Good call on riding SE as you exited! We do that too, there's never any line that way. I love yours and Cayley's smushed up pictures! Good news on the bus being there when you were ready to leave as well. I love when that happens at the end of a very long park day.

Looking forward to Mary's pictures.:goodvibes

Molly, I am not a fan of school bread as I don't like coconut. Mark thought it was only okay.

The girls did great doing the hat tribute for Mr. Mark.

Good call grabbing a few cocktails at the resort! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Was it hard prying your drink out of Mary's hand or did she have to buy you another? :confused3

Yea, that mac n cheese does look pretty NASTY! :scared:

I guess the low crowds were only in MK... Good idea calling it a night. You don't want to get run down on your first day! :goodvibes

Yes, I had to fight Mary tooth and nail to get my drink back. She's such a lush. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I am so sorry I fell so far behind. 10 pages behind to be exact. I was wondering what I missed...and the reason for so many pages. Well.. happy news!!!

I am so glad you got a clean bill of health... but also so glad that you are soon going to be adding a family member! Weddings are exciting stuff. Although... I think I envy you being the Mother of the groom... I think that is a better position than mother of the bride. ;)

Your updates were great! I love all the pictures. :goodvibes

Let see what I can remember to comment on...

The tree house... I never know quite what to think of it. Do I like it? Do I find it silly? :confused3 Mainly I think now it just wears me out.

Dole Whips.. YUM.

Cayley's mac n cheese... EWE! that looks gross even.

Again... so happy for you and your happy news. :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks, Ann. I was thrilled about the health news and even more delighted about Alisha. Now let's just hope she says yes on Friday night. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl: First of the, "It's your daughter." I love it!!

So glad to see y'all are having such a great time! :goodvibes

Sooooo, Ms. Kat. For all the lushes out there..... :drinking1 :rolleyes1 I mean! For us folk who like to try a good drink while in WDW, you didn't tell us what kind of adults drinks y'all had. They looked yummy! :cloud9:

Mary had the Turtle Crawl and I had a Pina Colada (I love my Pina Coladas).

We did have a great time.

Wow you did get alot done your first day! We weren't that ambitious :) Looks good, even with that yucky schoolbread thing :thumbsup2

Yeah, Mark thought the schoolbread was yucky too when he tried it a couple of years ago.

The vale is lifted and all becomes clear.
I was thinking that you’re TR’s title was headed in a different direction.

Cayley was a great inspiration for the title of our TR.

Boo for missing out on Sorin’, however, I rather like “Living with the Land”
(but I do miss having an actual guide on the boat)

I like Living with the Land too; but I'm with you -- I miss the guide too.

That’s a Q/S that gets overlooked. It was the last place we stopped at the last time we were in one of the parks just before heading home. We split a meatball sub and grabbed several cookies to take on the road. All in all… not too bad. I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Mark and I like it, but it's jot for everyone.

Doesn’t look any worse then the stuff in that blue box, but I wont be touchin’ it.

I’ve been spoiled mightily by marrying one fine cook and baker. One of her signature dishes is a variation on a baked Mac-n-cheese that is so addictive that everyone in both our families and those neighbors that have tried it all refer to the stuff as: “Bad Mac” (‘cause anything that good, has got to be B-A-D). My son for several years now has asked not to have cake for his birthday, but rather to have “Bad Mac” with candles pocked into it. This stuff is that good.
Oooh....that sounds yummy.

Y’all didn’t need to hear that story…
but I was thinking about it, so you get stuck with it.
Sorry about that…

No problem...I enjoyed hearing it.

We now return you to the rest of Kat’s TR already in progress.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

First… I rather like the term “dump shop”.
First I’ve heard that one… right descriptive there.

You've never heard the stores listed as "Dump Shops"? You must not read enough "female" TR's. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Second…

Those are fun shots of the girls.

They were good sports for the pictures.

They remind me of another dissimilar (if not disturbing) image that I saw
In an Oblivious TR (I suspect you may be familiar with the photo in question).

I know exactly which picture you are referring to. ;)

That’s generally the best time to hit that one. The lines are minimal and you’re usually pretty tuckered out by that time. Of course you ought to be, because as y’all ought to know…

Totally agree; it continues to amaze me the number of people who hit it first. :confused3

EPCOT actually is an acronym for: “Every Person Comes Out Tired”

LOVE IT!

Sounds like a good first full day in Epcot. :) That first full day is so exciting, but so exhausting at the same time.

We got so much done that I'm not surprised that we were starting to drag just a little.

It looks like such a cold day there, but I'm glad you all still had fun. I always think Epcot is one of the best parks when it's cold, since there's so many places to get inside.

It was a little chilly in the early a.m. and then when the sun went down. But we were fine with sweatshirts; at least we didn't need hats and gloves. :)

Everytime I go on the Mexico Boat Ride I think of Steph who looked at the Mural of the City and said Oh look New York City !!!:rotfl2:Her mother siad "She is Blonde ":rotfl2::rotfl2:Samatha Said It's The MEXICAN Boat ride you dummy!!!:rotfl2: I was too busy laughing !!:rotfl2:

That is too funny, Rosie.

I'm all caught up now (I was a few updates behind!) but it sounds like you guys had a great day! MK in the morning, Epcot at night....can't think of anything better!

The PP pics of the girls in Adventureland are awesome! I love them!

You are making me feel really good about the buses at OKW! Hopefully we have the same good luck in July that you guys had!

It was a perfect way to start the trip. The girls are really cute in Adventureland.

You are going to love OKW...we are set for therhe again in September.

Have to agree that Mac and Cheese looks awful !! I do understand about SS there isn't the choice for kids, we had a major meltdown with Kyle there !!!!!The girls were happy with the chinese food though !!

It was utterly disgusting.

I think my Ds remembers when SS was the "healthy" place and now he won't even go near it. :sad2: We end up at EU if I can't talk him into anything else.

Hope you are safe with all this crazy weather coming through. Or are you digging out from snow?

We are fine here; we had about an inch of snow after they predicted 5 inches. We are supposed to be at 57 degrees by the middle the week. :woohoo::woohoo:

I love the picture of Cayley on the suitcase....so cute:cutie:

That mac and cheese looks:scared: Not a fan at the best of times tho!

:woohoo: for adult beverages...they make everything better don't they?

Thanks, Queen. Cayley made us laugh so many times on this trip.

I'm not a big fan of Mac and Cheese on most occasions.

Love those adult beverages.

UGH! That makes me never want to go to the Electric Umbrella! Although I think the Disney Mac and Cheese is pretty equally disgusting wherever you go.

I'm glad you all got warm and had an adult beverage. Bummer about long waits though but you had a very full day, I can see why you were tired! Still looked fun.

I agree; I think the only place that has good Mac and Cheese is the one "Signature" that serves it.

It was a fun day.

Great pictures, Mary. I don't remember you taking the one of me with the hat, though.

I will get Day 2 started as soon as I finish cleaning house and finish getting our taxes ready to go to the accountant (hoping for that refund so I can get our trip for September paid for and buy my annual pass!).

:woohoo: All caught up and finally enough time to post! :woohoo:

First off, congrats on the addition to your family. What a beautiful daughter in law you are going to gain! :goodvibes

:dance3: on being cancer free! :dance3: Can the news get any better? :goodvibes

Love all the photos, the kids are adorable and adult drinks - what else could you wish for? ;)

Kathy, I have a question for you ....
did you feel "crammed" in the OKW studio? Now that we are DVC we need to keep track of how many points we spend on what and we might have to settle on an OKW studio one day. (Only one that offers two "real" beds) Just so we know .... do you think it's large enough for two adults for a week or so?
Thanks!

Thanks, Karin. It's been an exciting month, that's for sure. I can't wait for Friday to get here and for him to propose. I asked him if he knew how he was going to do it and he said, "Eh....I'll just wing it." So typical of Markie. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Mark and I were very comfortable at OKW in a Studio...and had no problems. Think CSR, but with the bathroom further back (and much bigger) with a little section with a microwave, sink, etc. Although we'd love a one bedroom, I don't want to spend the money on so many points, and we are quite content with the studio.

Thanks Kathy, for the fast reply.
Cannot wait for Saturday ... to read all about the big event - you will keep us posted, won't you?

And thanks for your thoughts on the Studio. We stayed at a studio at BLT last week and it was pretty small, but we loved it. Just not sure I could stay in such a small room for a week or so! But OKW has the largest units, so I guess we will be fine. :thumbsup2

First I loved the Carrousel pix of the 3 Ladies !!:love::love:Also the tribute to Mr Mark and his Hats !!:lmao:
I am with Karin we want DETAILS of the proposal !!!:banana::banana:

Mary very cute photos! love your girls eyes, so pretty

hoping Markie doesn't get to nervous with the proposal...winging it is okay :thumbsup2

my proposal from Jim was "so do you want to go look for a ring?" heck ya!!
two hours later had that puppy on my finger and never regretted it for a second!

I did not know the grand marshall of the parade got to drive in such a cool car!

More fun pictures Mary!

Fun pictures---especially love all the hat pics in honor of Mr. Mark! :)

YAY for that (hopefully) tax refund to fund other Disney trips!

Let us know about the proposal!

Dear Kathy, Yes, I am all caught up again and I must say I thought your title was going somewhere else as well! LOVE all of the pics. We used to LOVE the schoolbread, we tried it again in October (we planned to share it because last time it was HUGE, this tie it was...disappointing. I don't know if it was never that good and I was simply blinded by the handsome guy behind the counter who suggested it, or if it really wasn't as good...I LOVE the land, but miss the individual guides on each boat, it really was better then in IMHO. LOVE Mexico...everything from the ride, to the mdse to the glass blowers, which my middle two children REALLY enjoy! Mary, I have said it before but your daughters are so cute!!! :lovestruc:lovestruc Kathy, Looking forward to seeing pics form the BIG proposal night! At least of the ring on the beautiful fiancées' hand!!!

Hey, Kathy. Sorry I fell behind again. If life would quit smacking us upside the head I might have more DIS time!

We arrived at Epcot and walked through the turnstiles. The first place we headed was to check on Fastpasses for Soarin' but they were all gone.

:sad1::sad1:

Cayley had the mac and cheese. Let me just say it was ABSOLUTELY disgusting

But I thought Cayley had it? :confused3

We passed by Mouse Gears but did not shop (at least I don't think we did)

On a GIRLS TRIP?!

Cayley sat on my lap at the beginning of the ride so the picture isn't all that hot when we picked our future:

GirlsTrip2012062.jpg

Eveyone in the future will have two heads! Save yourselves!
