She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

Enjoyed the update.

The pictures of the girls over in Adventureland are so sweet!

Never tried anything at The Plaza. Looks yummy, though! :)

Great update! I love the photopass pics, the girls are too cute! :goodvibes

The parade looks like so much fun...I really hope to be in MK late enough to see it someday, we always leave mid-afternoon to take a break and end up missing it! :sad1:

ps-I started my May PTR, stop by when you get a chance! :thumbsup2

All caught up! Looks like a fun trip - sorry the weather looks so yucky on your first day at MK!

Secondly... SO EXCITING ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT! I skipped on through remaining comments so I'm not even sure if it has already happened? I will have to go back and read the rest of the comments. But what an awesome mother in law you will make!

oh those chips look good NOW! Great adventure land photo journal, what a fun afternoon.

Hi Kathy!
Just did a quick catch up here. The pics look great! Makes me miss the place I was just at yesterday!
Congratulations on the clean bill of health! So happy for you! And so happy for the impending engagement! Too bad she's not the Disney girl because I can definitely say, they know how to throw a wedding! :)

Love all the pictures! Looks like the rain kept the crowds low!

I see the girls love Dole Whips! I knew there was a reason I liked them. :lmao::lmao: :woohoo::woohoo:

How sweet catching the parade on the way out of MK and getting some LOVE from the characters! :thumbsup2

Nice lunch!!!

Thanks.

Congratulations!

Thank you. :)

The photopass pictures are all very cute! :goodvibes

I think the last time I went into the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse was my very 1st trip as a kid back in 1987. :lmao:

Great parade pictures!

Thanks, Amanada. I think it's been about 10 years since we were in the treehouse.

We love the Swiss Family Tree House. It really is cool.

The girls look like they are enjoying their dole whip.

Loved the parade photos. We have yet to see that parade. Next time !!

Congrats on your good news!!! That gets you one step closer to grandchildren :cool1:

I'm glad I did the treehouse with the girls...it was fun to see after all these years.

You must see the parade.

Thanks for the congrats. With the marriage not for two years, I think it will be awhile before the grandbabies come.

Great parade pictures!

That mickey shaped PB&J is adorable! I want one!

That picture of the two girls hugging is lovely!

Fun update!

Isn't that a cute sandwich? Mark wants one too...and he wants it NOW!

I love that hugging picture.

Kathy thanks for the comments on Matt he is with me again and satill knew "Snitch" and all the characters altjough he did confuse some of the Princesses !!:rotfl2:

What great news that you will have a new daughter (in law). The ring is gorgeous !!

HI MATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Rosie. I can't wait until he proposes...the last days are going soooooooooooooo slow.

Love the photopass pictures of the girls, adorable!

Thanks, Lessa.

Kathy! I just saw both of your news items!!!

CONGRATULATIONS on being CANCER FREE!!!!!!!!! That is just awesome, and it has to feel sooooooo good knowing you don't have another doctor appointment or more pills to take! :yay:

And another big CONGRATS on the upcoming engagement!!!! That is so exciting!!! I can't wait to hear the whole story.

Lunch at The Plaza made my stomach growl. That place is just so yummy. That Mickey PB&J is adorable!

Thanks, Brook. It's been a great two weeks; now the only thing that would make it better is airfare coming way down under $500 a person for our April trip.

I love the Plaza. :)

cute photos of you girls! love the one with A & C hugging :goodvibes

you got some great photos of the parade too!

still haven't eaten at the Plaza, maybe next trip

Thanks, Lisa. You really need to get to the Plaza soon.

Congratulations on the top secret good news!

Lunch looks very good. I've seen a lot of good reviews of the plaza recently. I really need to check it out sometime.

Those were some great Photopass pics in front of Adventureland. The girls look so happy and excited to be posing for the camera.:rotfl2:

That was some good luck catching the parade on the way out. I guess anytime you can just walk up and see a parade, it is much better than having to sit around staking out your territory to see one.:thumbsup2

Thanks, Andy. We are very excited and can't wait to hear how it goes.

You must go to the Plaza...your DS would love it.

The parade was great...and seeing "both sides" of it certainly different.

Just like NASCAR - go fast, turn left. :thumbsup2

Love the pictures!

Thank you, Barry.

I love Adventureland. There aren’t any of the crowd pleasing monster “thrill” rides located here, but for me the atmosphere and themeing is among the best in any of the “lands” in any park anywhere.

I agree...I love the theme in Adventureland.

That is one fine picture there!

Isn't it adorable?

The expressions on their faces are nearly perfect. Having obviously never met these charming young ladies, I can’t say this for sure… but I suspect that I’m seeing a great deal of their individual personalities personified into a single moment.

They both have great personalities.

A lot of folks ignore the Tree House, but we never miss it. But then my Grandfather was one of the fell’as that helped build the thing (true story), so my family indulges my desire to always pay proper respect.

That is so cool.

Another reason to love Adventureland

The girls sure seemed to enjoy it.

Love the Adventurland Photopass pics! They came out great. And nice job getting Dole Whips. You just have to.

I am about to be flamed...I don't care for the Dole Whips. I know...I am a bad DISer.

Awww, I love the Photopass pictures! I thought they were doing a refurb to the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse? Guess I was wrong since you climbed up each and every one of those hundred thousand steps.

Thanks, Lisa. I think the Treehouse was closed when we were there in September so perhaps that is when they did the rehab???

I love your photopass & parade photos! Mmmmm...Dole Whip. I wish I had one right now.
I totally forgot to say Congratulations on the engagement!

Thanks, April. And thanks for the congrats too.

Great photopass pics!!:thumbsup2

Dole Whip-Yum!!

Great pics of the parade!

It is funny how all of us in "Disland" know of the upcoming engagement & it has not happened yet. Kinda funny. I cannot wait to hear the details.

It is funny that all of you know, and poor Alisha still does not. But her mom knows now...hope she can keep it quiet.

Love the PP pics of the girls :cutie:

Great parade pics and sounds like you had a great day at MK :goodvibes

Thank you, Tanz. It was a great morning at hte MK.

LOVE the photopass pics. The one of the girls hugging is way too sweet!!

Christie, don't you just want to hug them every time you see their picture?

I love your pictures :thumbsup2

the parade pictures are my favorite. your family looked like they had an amazing time.

Thank you. We had a good time (although not family...just good friends).

First of all, congrats on the engagement!

You all look so cold! But that pink leopard print mickey sweatshirt is just too cute :goodvibes. As always, love the pictures!

Hi, Kira. Thanks for the congrats. I may come to you for wedding advice too. :)

It was chilly that morning, but it warmed up a tad.

Aw, what sweet pictures in this update! Those little angels are too adorable. The picture with all four of you is really great too!

Thanks, Molly. We didn't get many pictures of the four of us, but I like that one.

Hmm, so you had lunch at the Plaza. Shocker.;) It's a great place and I love the Mickey shaped PB&J! My youngest got that last time, along with the mini cookies and cup of milk for dessert.

I think one of the girls may have gotten the cookies...I don't remember.

Oh, I'm glad to hear you like the Swiss Family Treehouse! I'd hate to think that you ranked it up there with the CoP.:sad2::rolleyes: It is a lot of steps, isn't it? But I love the look and feel of it.

SFT was fun after all these years. It is a LOT of steps. You're determined to get me to like CP, aren't you?

Hooray for dole whips!:woohoo: How do you order yours? We like vanilla ice cream with the pineapple juice. Pineapple ice cream with the pineapple juice seems too sweet. Or maybe it's just me?

I don't do dole whips (not a fan of pineapple); Mark promised to try one in September if we can ever get near the window to order it.

Wow, you captured some great parade pictures Kat! I don't really care too much for this parade but my girls love it. So we watch.

I prefer hte "light parades" but it is so fun with the kids to sit and watch.

LOL I have had your TR open all afternoon and got to read just two updates! LOVE the hats. So fun!

and OMG that dessert....you surely must have all shared it, right?
mmmmmm

The girls had some with Mary, I was too busy drinking my cappucino.

Congratulations Kathy on all the wonderful news.

I am enjoying reading about the girls only trip!

Thanks so much, Esther...appreciate you stopping in and glad you are enjoying.

Enjoyed the update.

The pictures of the girls over in Adventureland are so sweet!

Never tried anything at The Plaza. Looks yummy, though! :)

Thanks, Michelle. The Plaza is wonderful...add it to your list.

:thumbsup2

Thanks, Jen. I promise to get over to your PTR and the end of your TR as soon as I catch up--definitely over the weekend.

Thanks, Amy for the kind words. Alisha will be a great DIL--she is truly a gem!

He proposes next Friday (the 9th).

oh those chips look good NOW! Great adventure land photo journal, what a fun afternoon.

Thank you, Cynthia. Those are great potato chips.

I cannot believe you are back already! How the heck did that go so darn fast.

Thanks for the congrats on our happy news.

I can't wait to read your TR.

:thumbsup2

Thank you, Tim. The crowds were low at the MK; Epcot...not so much.

You would love the girls...with or without the Dole Whips.

The parade was fun.

Love the Adventureland pics. I was kinda disappointed that I didn't see more photopass guys out and about while we were there. They had the standard ones going down main st, then a few around, but I was really hoping for more. I guess its probably a good thing though cause I think Bill would've killed me if I made him stop much more :)

Glad you got to see the TreeHouse again. We made sure we did it this time, but prob won't next time. It's neat, but not an every trip thing for us I guess. We did the same thing....treehouse then Dole Whips, then Move it, Shake it block party. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Suzi. I didn't see as many PP guys this trip either. I'm not sure why. :confused3 I hear what you are saying about husbands...Mark rolls sometimems rolls his eyes at me when I want to stop for antoerh picture.

The Treehouse is definitely not an every visit thing.

So I left off with our having just watched the parade at athe MK. We left the MK and walked to catch our bus which was there waiting for us. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

We got off at the Hospitaly House and went into the General Store and then I suggested to Mary it was me for an adult beverage. So we headed over to the Gurgling Suitcase and we got our drinks (I think the girls got a pretzel at the snack shop next door):

girlstrip2011223.jpg

We then went to the room to put on slightly warmer clothes. In the process, Cayley had a little accident and fell here:

GirlsTrip2012001.jpg

This was the first of many times I said to Mary, "she's your daughter." Cayley would just do the goofiest things and I would crack up.

Cayley waiting for the bus:

GirlsTrip2012002.jpg

We arrived at Epcot and walked through the turnstiles. The first place we headed was to check on Fastpasses for Soarin' but they were all gone. We decided to hit The Land:

GirlsTrip2012013.jpg

After visiting The Land, we decided we were hungry. We looked at the menu, but nothing appealed to Mary and the girls, so we headed over to The Electric Umbrella.

I had the chicken fingers:

GirlsTrip2012016.jpg

Cayley had the mac and cheese. Let me just say it was ABSOLUTELY disgusting:

GirlsTrip2012017.jpg

Mary had the cheeseburger:

GirlsTrip2012019.jpg

I think Avery had the kids chicken.

Where do we go after dinner?

Continued in next post

We left the Electric Umbrella and headed over to World Showcase. We stopped in Mexico and went to see Donald and friends:

GirlsTrip2012029.jpg

We stopped in the dump shop and had to take a picture for Mr. Mark:

GirlsTrip2012032.jpg

After that, it was off to Norway and rode Maelstrom and then hit another dump shop:

We stopped for a treat for Mary and the girls to share:

GirlsTrip2012037.jpg

We were getting a little tired and everything had really long waits and we had an early morning the next day, so decided to head out. We passed by Mouse Gears but did not shop (at least I don't think we did), and did Spaceship Earth on the way out:

Cayley sat on my lap at the beginning of the ride so the picture isn't all that hot when we picked our future:

GirlsTrip2012062.jpg

GirlsTrip2012064.jpg

We finished with Spaceship Earth and headed to the exit to walk to our bus. Luck would be with us again, and our bus was there.

We got back to the room and got into our pajamas, the girls talked to their Daddy while I downloaded my pictures on the computer and then we were off to bed. We had a busy day planned for Day 2 at the parks.

I want to give Mary a chance to catch up with pictures, and I want to catch up on everyone else's TR's and PTR's...so there may not be anotoher update until Monday.

Love your updates! I especially love the picture of Cayley in the suitcase. Precious! :goodvibes

Sounds like y'all were having a lot of fun at Epcot. Can't wait to hear what kind of fun the next day brings.

I cannot believe you are back already! How the heck did that go so darn fast.
Time between trips goes so slow. The time we're in Disney goes way too fast. It's completely unfair.

Love the Epcot pics! I've never seen a picture of Spaceship Earth that didn't make me giddy. :)

you did a lot for your first day!

that mac n cheese does look yucky! looks like it glowing

cute pics of the girls in the shops, and funny one of you and cayley on earth!

Well, finally all caught up again after being away camping with the scouts this past weekend! Love the pictures of the girls back to back at Adventureland! And Cayley sitting in the middle of the suitcase is a hoot!

So you ate at The Plaza. Did you see one of my favorite HMs there? I hesitate to post a picture of that one since I don't think I've seen anyone else post about finding it....... :rolleyes1

Hooray for dole whips!:woohoo: How do you order yours? We like vanilla ice cream with the pineapple juice. Pineapple ice cream with the pineapple juice seems too sweet. Or maybe it's just me?
It's just YOU Mols! You are just so naturally sweet that all of that extra sweet is entirely too much........

We got off at the Hospitaly House and went into the General Store and then I suggested to Mary it was me for an adult beverage
Looks like a solid plan to me.:rolleyes1

We decided to hit The Land:
Great ride. Who doesn't like Mickey shaped fruit?

After visiting The Land, we decided we were hungry.
It was seeing all that food being grown, wasn't it? Makes me hungry too.

We left the Electric Umbrella and headed over to World Showcase. We stopped in Mexico and went to see Donald and friends:
It's a Small Mexico!!!!:cool1::woohoo:

After that, it was off to Norway and rode Maelstrom and then hit another dump shop:
How was the movie?:confused3

Great update! Looks like it was a fun filled day.:thumbsup2

Sorry I am missing your pictures, but its sounds like you had a fun evening (all except for Cayley's fall).

So what did you drink at the gurgling suitcase? I hope you had the turtle crawl. I loved that drink.

Be back later!

This was the first of many times I said to Mary, "she's your daughter." Cayley would just do the goofiest things and I would crack up.
Aaaahhh! The reveal of the TR name! Excellent!

After visiting The Land, we decided we were hungry. We looked at the menu, but nothing appealed to Mary and the girls, so we headed over to The Electric Umbrella.
I assume you mean the menu of Sunshine Seasons. That's our favorite counter service in Disney World!

Cayley had the mac and cheese. Let me just say it was ABSOLUTELY disgusting:
THIS is why I carry a Geiger counter with me everywhere I go. :scared1:

We left the Electric Umbrella
But after seeing that Mac & Cheese, I doubt the Electric Umbrella left you...

We stopped for a treat for Mary and the girls to share:

GirlsTrip2012037.jpg
MMmmmm....school bread. :thumbsup2
