She's Your Daughter!!!! A Girls Trip -- Last Day & Departure Day -- Pages 76 & 77

Airline booked today. We fly out Saturday, September 15 on a 6:30 a.m. flight and arriving in Orland at 10:15 a.m. Mark's not too happy...but we have no park that day and he can nap at the pool.

We fly home on Saturday, September 29 on a 7:14 a.m. flight and arrive home at 9:30 a.m....plenty of time to hang out with Cookie and do the laundry and have Sunday as a leisure day.

$264.60 per person...not bad.

ADR's are all made.

Now we just have to finalize our resort.

:woohoo::woohoo:

Those are some pretty good flight times! And those rates are NOT bad! You made your ADRs already, too!? You're on a roll with this September trip!

I'm sticking my guns and still saying that you're going back to CSR...but I'm kind of hoping for The Poly so I can oogle your pictures when you get back!

Kathy, I am so sorry about your friend. And so glad you did make it through your cancer.

Sorry you didn't like ASMU, we always enjoyed it until our last trip when a huge group of cheerleaders checked in. As much as I have enjoyed the values, our kids are just past the age where they hold the appeal they once did. At least you got another resort checked off the "stayed there" list!

Love the picture of you, Mary and the girls at Sci Fi!

I envy that airfare, I booked ours for October two weeks ago and paid a little over $450 a ticket. Makes me sick!

Kathy, Carol and I will be at Universal Sept 21st thru the 24th with a group of 8Staying at RPR!!

No, that's a good thing.

Wait...you're doing it now, aren't you!?!

A good thing? It didn't sound good to me.

You know I pick on you because I love you. :goodvibes

$264 round trip? That is a good deal. :thumbsup2

I thought it was a really good fare...especially going into MCO and flying out of RSW.

I vote POFQ....or Poly.....or POFQ.....or Poly.....see, I can't make up my mind for you either! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: you crack me up. POFQ is not our cup of tea (no quiet pools); I looked at Poly, but out of my price range even with the 30% discount (if we weren't doing a week in Marco after, we could probably do it).

Kathy, I was so sorry to read about your friend...my love, thoughts and prayer are with you and her family.

I love an extra early morning flight - feels like vacation starts first thing!

You know, it's sad when $264 is a decent fare...what's worse is that it's about the same out of Raleigh-Durham.

Yay for resort - did I miss a list of possibilities for this trip? Renting points again? Can't wait to hear this years winner! :thumbsup2 I was going to privately mention my friend who rents points, but she just lost her mom and is not up to dealing with it for now. She was going to take care of our December resort, but told her I'd work something else out. So far, that's not going so well!! :sad2:

Thanks for the hug, Christine. Such a beautiful woman she was.

I love early morning flights too...I can sleep on the plane.

I'm down to four choices for our resort. I have a couple of people I'm talking to about renting points.

 you are one step closer.....I have a feeling you are going to stay at CSR!

Yes, one step closer. Now if the time would just move a little quicker.

Yay!! That's not bad at all. DH flew out for a funeral and his round trip was nearly $500.

I have a "feeling" she is not, lol. (Lisa, I have the same psychic abilities as you, hehe.)

I have a friend who is trying to book airfare to Vegas and it is over $400 a person. INSANE

I love your "psychic" abilities. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, I made all of my ADR's in March/April. I may tweak one or two, but for now I am happy with them.

Thanks, Amy. Such a tragic loss.

It's not that I didn't like ASMU, it's just not "my vacation" style. Too many unsupervised kids, too crowded (waited forever in the food court). But like I said the room was very nice (recently refurbed????).

I like that picture of the four of us too.

Wow...$450 is a lot of money. I don't think we would be going if our airfare was that high.

:woohoo: Sounds like you got great flights. As long as I stay under $300 R/T, I'm OK. And, personally, you know how much I love those early morning flights out! Can't wait to hear about your resort choice this time.

oh, she's on the inside track I see :lmao:

I'm very happy with the fares and the flight times (although Grumpy isn't so happy about the early hours; I wonder how Andy will feel when he has to take us to the airport and pick us up from the airport ;) )

Decision on resort will be next...but maybe not until June. :rolleyes1

Yeah, I never thought I'd say it, but the values are kind of not our style anymore either. Never had a bad stay at any of them, but all of the sudden, we hit that wall!

That airfare was a hard pill to swallow. But its our last trip before ds goes into the Marines so I took the plunge. On the flip side, I only paid $180 for our Disneyland airfare. I have never gotten good airfare to Orlando from Denver but this time was downright nasty!

I for one am putting my money on AKV! Or OKW maybe. Can't wait to hear for sure!

I think I can safely say you will not be renting points at VWL.;)

Well, since we are on a roll and I'm caught up on almost all of my subscribed threads, let's try another update, shall we?

After saying goodbye to Christie and her family and Heather and her family, we went back to OKW. It was the warmest of the days we had been there and the girls were begging to go swimming. Mary couldn't understand why since they live in Arizona and have a pool. But we all know how kids are. ;)

We got back to the room and the girls changed into their bathing suits. Mary and I are decided we were NOT going swimming, but we would be getting drinks at the Gurgling Suitcase while the girls swam.

We stopped in the General Store first (I think Mary was picking up a package).

Then we proceeded to the pool and the girls, before they swam, wanted ice cream. I swear these girls can eat all day. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

After the girls went into the hot tub for awhile to warm up, it was back to the room to get changed into real clothes as we were headed to the MK for EMH's.

First order of business: dinner, of course. I mean it's not like the girls had anything recently to eat. :rotfl2::rotfl2: Seriously, Mary and I were hungry. And where did we go, you ask? Columbia Harbor House would be the correct answer:

The girls got the same meal:

While we were eating, Mary's hubby called and the girls talked to their Dad. While we were waiting for the phone call to end:

Up next...what is the first attraction we hit; more importantly, will I even remember at this point? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I had no idea DS was going into the Marines. When did that decision get made?

Part of the reason we've not gone to DL is the airfare is insane.

You are right in safely saying it won't be VWL. I can also safely guarantee it won't be the Poly (too expensive, even with the discount), and it won't be the Grand Floridian or the Caribbean Beach. ;)

my vote is AKL :thumbsup2

I got our flights the other day for our trip this summer...saved lots of $$ since we are taking the red eye...leave seattle 945 PM and get into Atlanta 630AM the next morning....we will sleep on the plane and then not loose the whole day flying! I save $134.oo each :cool1:

the girls look like little fish swimming! its all that fresh air, kids eat like crazy when they're outside....first ride in MK.....SPACE MOUNTAIN!

I am also thinking it won't be BLT. I am narrowing it down by process of elimination!

Ds decided to be a marine when he was 14. I am proud but as it draws nearer, scared out of my mama bear mind. His girlfriend leaves for the Air Force in three weeks. They'll go to prom and say their goodbyes the next day. Too bad, I love her to death but they are too young to be serious anyway. ;)

As you know, my brother lives in Chicago and they always get such nice airfare into MCO and I am always jealous!

Hey there Ms. Kathy. :goodvibes

Great updates! I can't go back to respond to each one but I think the wise donkeys here did a good job of keeping you on your toes! :rotfl:

I like the early morning flights out but Mel doesn't really care for them. It is hard on the kids though. They are shot that first day. :faint:

I hope to try to keep up with this TR.... :rolleyes1

We had way TOO many Starbucks. :rotfl::rotfl:

:thumbsup2

Again, congrats!!! I'm excited for you!!!

Great update too! Love that OKW pool, I can't wait to see it in October again.

Don't you just love that pool area at OKW! It's so pretty. I bet the girls had a blast.

Oh how I wish I could still pack it away like a little kid. :rotfl:

Hey Kat!!! sorry, been MIA getting ready for the big move! I'll add my pics of the DHS day later on, hopefully before we do the next update.

I LOVE the pic with the little one on my lap. I love lap huggers!!! LOL Tyler did good with all the girls!!!

Chris hardly ever smiles in pics. Don't know why, just him!! we miss those ages with kids, and of course hardly ever get to spoil little girls!!! Fun day, glad we were able to spend it with ya'll!!!!
