My oldest is packing all her things and moving to Ohio. I am not dealing with this well. She moved to work in Japan for Disney and I didn't have a problem with that but this seems too permanent. I'm freaking!
Less than a week and she is gone.
Thanks for letting me vent

Just want to send a

Hope all goes well with her move. Sounds like it's time for you to plan a trip to visit her after she gets settled in.

Oh, I really understand what you're saying!! Our youngest DD went to Orlando three years ago for a 7-month stint in the WDW-CP. Well, she's still there--working full-time now--and I miss her every day. Plan lots of trips to OHIO!! It's a lovely state (I was born and raised there). Make sure your daughter has a cell phone with a ton of minutes so she can call home frequently.

Good luck to both of you!!

You have my compassion! My DSs are only 16 and 13 and I already dread the day they move out!

Hugs and best wishes....I know my mom HATED it when I moved to WDW. I moved at the first of the month, she and dad came to visit 3 weeks later....its a good idea to plan a trip like that. Know your DIS friends are here for you!

Ohio is not a bad place to visit at all...

On the other hand, though DH and DS10 have been gone for a week now and I miss them horribly!

I am sorry that you are having such a time with this. A prayer for peace for you said.

Thanks for all the hugs. I know I will be ok, but she is the first. One more still living at home. We will probably go visit her in Ohio. I know her granddad is already planning a trip. He's on his own now and she's the first one to move out on her own.

So what sends her to Ohio? Cleveland Symphony? :)

Start planning that trip. My only DD is leaving this Saturday to drive down to Florida with a friend who is moving there. She will fly back next Thursday. This will be her first trip to ever drive to Florida, My fear is that she will get a idea to move down there as well. I only have one and she is 20.

All my best to you and lot's of hug's.

I wish. I understand that someone has to die to get in that symphony. She will be at the music school at Kent State University as a teaching assistant and in the graduate quartet. She is also auditioning for some of the orchetras like Akron. She'll be working on her masters degree. Also she will continue as a Tupperware consultant to supplement her income.

At least when you come vist Ohio you have plenty of disers to help you plan trip.
