"She's Looking at Food Pictures Again!" A February Family Vacation! COMPLETE 8/14

Great pictures from Le Cellier! Sounds like a fun meal. Can't wait to see what you did on your own.

I need to take a look at that video eventually haha. I bet it was better. People just think it's weird now Which makes me sad because I like Figment. But I guess I just dont know any better. And aww I am SO excited for the original tiki room to come back!! Maybe Dreamfinder will come back someday! I hope so! And aww really? Do you know where? And oh my God I just read about that! I really wish I could see all of the stuff that's up there!

Here is a link right here for the video:

And don't feel bad about it, I think everyone still enjoys Figment, it's just Dr. Nigel Channing most disprove of, as well as the whole new concept in the new ride.

And aww I am SO excited for the original tiki room to come back!! Maybe Dreamfinder will come back someday!

I'm so happy, it's coming back! I watched videos of that as well and the song is on my iPod! I'm hoping its a signal for Dreamfinder too. I think Disney should get at least that through their heads. :rolleyes

And aww really? Do you know where? And oh my God I just read about that! I really wish I could see all of the stuff that's up there!

I forget where. I need to check AllEars, because that's where I found out about it. :/ And yeah it is cool! I've seen tons of pictures like even some of the modern day state of the place. They actually never shut off one of the little things you could do in the original ImageWorks, so why not bring it back? :teeth:

Thanks for telling us about the chocolate moose being the most photographed food on property :) I never knew that but I can totally believe it, I got it 2 trips ago and of course the first thing I did was take a pic of it. I love taking disney food pictures in general though so maybe i'm not the best person to base any kind of food pic statistic on, lol.

Oh, I know right? They're borderline dangerous to look at because I almost always get hungry :rotfl:
And I know :( I really feel like I missed out on something!
And hahaha don't be deceived... I'm only like that in Disney! (at the beginning of the trip... because by the end I get tired LOL)

Yay! Thank you so much!
And oh, no problem! What's a trip report without food pictures!?
And I am excited to share it with you!

Thanks for all of those comments!! I loved them! :)

No problem! I love your trip reports! Are you on facebook? If so, private message me and I can add you :) I love meeting people who share the same love for Disney as I do!

Tim hortons!!!! I've only been there a handful of times, but Mmmmm do they have good coffee and bagels! I've always wanted to eat at Le Celier but i've never gotten the chance :( Last trip me and my mom had eaten lunch in Japan and it was about time for dinner and we didn't have any reservations so we decided to eat at Le Celier but it was a 2 hour wait :o It was insane! Needless to say we ended up eating at China again! Test track is SO much fun! It was my mom's first time last trip and she loved it! We used the single rider line so we only waited probably 10 minutes :) Can't wait to hear about your solo expeditions!

I will have to watch that! And yeah he's kind of weird. I can see why people wouldn't like it if they had something better before.
And aww I'm so excited too! I think they know that they need to get Dreamfinder back. It's probably a matter of time.
That's just so cool! I wish they'd open it!

Haha no problem! I believe it too... it's so CUTE! I know I am the same way... I photograph EVERYTHING.

It's so good!! You'll have to go there next time! Reservations are like... extremely necessary. China is good though... I ate there recently! Yay for red bean ice cream  That's awesome about the test track wait! I bet she did love it... it's a great ride!

Oh my cow, you are adorable! I watched the video of the three of you singing from your last trip, and it made me miss being a teenager. That's definitely something my girlfriends and I would do.

Subscribing! This is fantastic!

ETA - we have a Tim Horton's on like every corner in my city - I do prefer their normal coffee :)

OMG I don't think I ever read this update!!! :confused3:

Le Cellier is FANTASTIC. I love it so so much! I can't wait to go in August though because I haven't been there in a long time!

Of course Jonathan was intimidated by his sandwich, I would be too! That thing is HUGE!!! I'll stick with my nice little filet thank you very much.

I totally believe that the Moose is the most photographed dessert...that and the Ohana bread pudding. :cloud9:

Can't wait to hear about your solo adventure...again! LOL.

Chapter 12 - My Experience as an Ordinary Disney Tourist
February 21st, 2011

I left Epcot after our ride on Test Track and headed to the monorail! I went over to the Magic Kingdom on my first Solo Traveler experience!

It was really weird being alone in Disney because I just have so much to say and there was nobody to share it with!

So I took the monorail like a big girl and headed over to Magic Kingdom. I wasn’t alone for too long because I called Eden once I got there. She told me to meet up with her family in Frontierland!

Her parents surprised her for her birthday with one day in Disney, so it worked out so well that I was there at the same time!

We met up in front of the Briar Patch, and they were planning on going over to Tomorrowland, so that's where we went.

The only thing about spending time with Eden and her family is that they had NO idea what they were doing. They hadn't been to Disney in 10+ years. And there was a lot of us (like 8 or 9?). And it was President's Day. In the Magic Kingdom. Yikes. And they had JUST gotten Fastpasses for Splash Mountain.. which were a few hours ahead of the current time.

So once we got to Tomorrowland, we went to The Laugh Floor. It was cute! They put a little boy on screen who was grabbing on to his Mom's purse and the monsters were like "This baby is robbing this lady!!!" That was really funny haha.

We left The Laugh Floor and after much deliberation, we got in a 40 minute line for Buzz Lightyear. Yikes! But we soon got out of line because if we went on that, her dad said we wouldn't be allowed to use our Fastpasses they collected for Splash Mountain later. Oh boy.

So, we thought, "what the heck? Let's just get in the 70 minute line for Space Mountain!" I never thought I would ever do that. That's just crazy talk. But, why not? They may never come back to Disney, and if the only way to get on Space Mountain at this point is to wait, then I'll wait!

We got through the first room without a problem! I finally got to play the games in the queue line and they were really fun!

Then we got in the back room.. and it NEVER ended! We zig-zagged back and forth for SUCH a long time. I felt bad because their impression of Disney World was kind of plummeting at this point. But that's what happens when you get Fastpasses so late in the Day on PRESIDENT'S DAY.

Then, I saw exactly what I didn't want to see: that frantic look on the Cast Members Faces.

Then I heard exactly what I didn't want to hear: "A meteor shower has delayed all flights. This will alter all wait times."

Oh. My. God. How long has it been at this point? Over an hour?

We only had 2 or 3 more lengths of the line to go. We were so close... yet, so far.

Things just never seemed to get better, so after all of that, we just got out of line and left. I will never be an ordinary Disney tourist again. No Fastpass - No go.

So, we met back up with Eden's Mom and Grandma, and we trekked back to Frontierland. We used our Fastpasses for Splash Mountain, that the LORD!

Me and Eden's little Brother, Yale, sat in the Front Row, and Eden and her little sister, Nobie, sat in the 2nd row.

This is the times, though, when I like going to Disney with First Timers. Eden was FREAKING out for the whole ride about the big drop. It was HILARIOUS! She never knew when it was coming so she would ask "IS THIS IT!?" every time it seemed like a drop was approaching. It makes for a good experience when the people you're with don't know what to expect.

The ride picture was the best ride picture EVER! Eden's face is fantastic. hahaha

After our ride, we walked over to her family and watched the Main Street Electrical Parade in Frontierland!

That was my first time seeing it. It was cute and I love the music, but I still like SpectroMagic better. That soundtrack touches my heart.

And I'm glad you're here!
And mmm Tim Horton's! I don't like coffee but I do love their bagels. And donuts. And yogurt and berries. And muffins. and EVERYTHING :goodvibes

OMG I don't think I ever read this update!!! :confused3:

You're slacking! Just kidding I haven't updated this thing in like two weeks :(
And mmm you're gonna LOVE it! I can't wait till you go!
And hahaha I know right? He would be intimidated. I like the filets too!
And mmm the Chocolate Moose is my favorite dessert
And haha now you can read about it!!

That's the reason why God made us all DisFreaks! We could never EVER be a lost Disney Tourist EVER! LOL Sorry you didn't get to ride Space Mountain ): It's one of my favorites, but still you have Disney for another few days or you probably already rode it on this trip and I'm forgetting LOL And that is a great Splash Mountain picture, your friend looks so funny! I don't think I've seen anyone freak out that much. Hahaha And yeah, I prefer SpectroMagic to MSEP, though I never got to see a lot of either, but listening to the Soundtracks, I like SpectroMagic's song. It really flows into Wishes after :thumbsup2 Can't wait to read about the next five days! (:

Oh and since I'm reading most of your TRs. I should introduce myself. Hi, I'm Timmy! (: And I'm an... *wrongsituation* LOL :teeth: Hopefully you understood most of that :D

Yikes for those wait times, that is insane! I cannot imagine waiting that late in the day to get fastpasses on such a busy holiday period.

It's interesting what you said about the electrical parade, I grew up with that parade at Disneyland and have never actually had the opportunity to see spectro since on my first trip to the world they had already switched over to the electrical parade but i'd really love to see it someday.

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Haha I agree! Thank God we all understand! Yeah, I went on Space Mountain plenty of times! I'm sad they didn't get to ride it, but oh well! Hopefully they'll go back next time! And hahaha I know her face is priceless. Seriously, we laughed about it for a long time :rotfl: Yeah, Spectro's soundtrack wins it for me!

And hello, Timmy. Unfortunately.. I don't understand :rotfl: I'm sorry, I'm slow.

I know, it was nuts! If you go at holiday times, you gotta learn how to beat the system. And they just didn't know because thy don't know much about Disney. They treated it like just another ordinary day at any amusement park. It's hard to explain to people who don't understand.

And aww, well hopefully they bring it back one day! Spectro is great! But I like MSEP too :goodvibes

I don't think I would've gotten ANYTHING done on my last trip, if it weren't for the fact I knew what I was doing. :D

Well... have you seen those little sit downs people have when they have an addiction or similar psychological problems? If you haven't, during those they have them all start by saying "Hi, my name is/I'm so-and-so and I'm a so-and-so." So I was just joking by saying that. It probably isn't done that way often in real life, but it makes pretty funny moments LOL

I'm all caught up! I love your Le Cellier update. John and I still haven't gotten the chance to eat there and I just can't wait to try it out! I think I could make an entire meal out of pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup! :thumbsup2

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear about that wait time for Space Mountain! It always stinks when you desperately want to ride a ride but your only choice is to wait in the standby line. I hate that!

It sounds like Splash Mountain was a blast, though! That ride pic is hilarious! :lmao:

I'm back and getting caught up!!!! I waiting 60 mins for Soarin before when I lived in FL since my friend was working on the ride and after the 60 mins..we said never again!!! FP or wait for when it's not spring break!!!!

It was nice you got to share some time with your friend and her family :)

Haha that's how I feel every time!
And OH okay! hahaha that's what I thought but I wasn't sure. I get it now :rotfl:

Yay! I hope you get to go sometime! I'm sure you guys would love it! And oh, I definitely could too! I feel like I could make a meal out of appetizers at a lot of places.. like at Olive Garden. Why do I bother ordering an entree? Because I could just eat all of the salad and breadsticks and be satisfied :lmao:
And I know, isn't that terrible? I never find myself in those situations unless I'm with people who are limited on time. I never want to do that again!
And hahaha I love that picture! What a great ride!

Yay! We missed you! I feel like everyone's been so busy lately!
That's such a long wait! Honestly, no ride is worth wait times like that. You gotta figure out the system and get your fastpasses! Lines are not okay. :rotfl:
And yeah it was really fun :) I haven't seen her since then because we live far away from eachother now :( So that was such a nice treat!

I love the way you described your little solo experience.

Wow at the Space Mountain wait and experience! Am glad you all got to ride Splash though.

Loved the update, as always! Splash Mountain is my absolute FAVORITE ride! It opened the exact day and year I was born! So cool!
