Your Mom's not gone...
She's risen above
And each day the sun rises...
She's sending her love.

Hang in there! :(

Will be thinking of you Terk-1. Take care of yourself!

Your post is heartbreaking and I feel your pain. I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom. Losing a parent is one of God's greatest tests he send us.

From all you've written she must have been a wonderful person. She must have also been so proud to have such a loving daughter. You are indeed blessed you were so close, had so many happy days with her and did so much together. You will carry those memories in your heart forever and her spirit will guide you thru out your days.

I lost my dear Dad (86) little over a year ago and it was a very difficult time for me. Somehow my faith got me thru, but it seems like a blur. Each day you get a little stronger, but the 1st's take their toll. Since then we've done everything possible to make life easier for my Mom. She is our family's guilding light, we are very close and she is my best friend. When God calls her home, I only hope I can find the strength needed...I cannot begin imagine.....
:sad1:

I will say a prayer that God grants you the faith and strength to get thru these difficult days. Rest assured that your Mom is at peace w/your Dad and God is holding them in the palm of his hands. Much love and blessings to you and yours.

Godspeed ^i^

This poem seemed to help my family after my mom's passing.
I hope it will help you also.
My sincere sympathies on your loss.
May your wonderful memories sustain you.

For My loved ones............................

If I should die and leave you here a while,
Be not like others, sore undone, who keep
Long vigil by the silent dust and weep,
For my sake- turn again to life and smile,
Nerving thy heart and trembling hand to do
That which will comfort other souls than
thine;
Complete these dear unfinished tasks of mine,
And I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you.

Whatever we were to each other,
that we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.

Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means All that it ever meant.

It is the same as it was; there is unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you, for an interval,

some far away day, somewhere very near,

just round the corner, loving you, watching out for you.

Hopefully always in your hearts

"All is well."
We Go On.................We'll Love Each Other Always...........

Hugs, Marilyn

My deepest condolences to you and all your mom's loved ones, Terk.

There are few tragedies in this world harder to take than the loss of one's mother. :(

I'm sorry. May God be with you in these difficult hours. :(

I'm so sorry , I know right now things are hard for you, But one day you'll be doing something and you'll know she still with you. May god bless you .:grouphug:

Kind thoughts and prayers go out to you and yours. I still wear my Grampie's wedding ring on my left hand middle finger some 18 years later! I loved him and helped him tape it when it was gettting too big for him near the end and carry him with me every day!

I didn't want to open this thread because I was thinking I might find something heartbreaking. I'm so sorry to find tht my thoughts were right. :( Please except my heartfelt condolances. I can only imagine what you are going through. {{{{Hugs}}}} :hug I'm sorry. :hug

Thank you again to all of you for your continued thoughts and prayers. We had the opportunity to see her this morning and she looked beautiful. Just like she was sleeping. The wake is tomorrow and the funeral on Monday. I think those will be the two most difficult days of my life, especially the burial. I was watching Nancy Regan last night and it took everything she had to have to leave him. I have a feeling I will feel the same way.

Thank you again everyone. You have made this most difficult time a bit easier.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that you were able to be with your mother at the end.

I want to extend again my thanks to all of you for your warm posts of hugs, prayers and support. The funeral was today and was very hard. I finally let go and cried during the mass, but being there with my family helped greatly. When we were leaving the church on the way to the cemetary, I placed her wedding ring onto my right hand and have not taken it off.

Thank you again for everything. It is great to know I have such wonderful DIS friends here.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I will say an extra prayer for you tonight.
