She's Gone

I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope the loving memories you have of her bring you comfort and peace.

Prayers for you and your family.

I am so sorry for you loss. Please know that I will keep you in my prayers.

My mom passed away over 10 years ago and it still hurts. But in my heart I know that she is with God and that I will see her again.

Also, please don't feel wierd about taking your mom's wedding and mother's ring. When I got engaged a couple of years ago, my dad gave my now husband my mom's engagement ring and my husband had my engagement ring made from her diamond. Every time I look at the ring it reminds me of my mom. When I'm distressed or hurting, it feels like she is there.

My prayers to you and please take care.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am very happy that she had you by her side.

SO sorry. Sending hugs your way. When my mom passed away, I. too. lost my best friend.

So very sorry, Terk, to hear of your mom's passing. :( Your thoughts of her seem so warm, so close. She indeed will be misssed, but know well she is there, really. My best to you, you will be remembered in my prayers, God speed for your mom.

I am so sorry! Thank you, though, for sharing those lovely thoughts about your mom. May you take much comfort in the wonderful memories you have of her!

Sounds as though you had a truly wonderful relationship with your mom ~ So very sorry for your loss.

Terk,
I am saddened to hear of your mom's passing. My heart goes out to you because I lost my mom/best friend 3 years ago in a similar manner. I hope it gives you comfort knowing she is with your dad and also in the fact that your gave her "permission" to go. It was the greatest gift you could give her. I wear my mom's engagement ring on my right hand every day and feel her close to me whenever I look at it. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Terk, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

so sorry. :( It's never easy losing a loved one.

Terk, I cannot tell you how sorry I am.

Reading your post just broke my heart. My Mom was my best friend also, and losing her seemed like the end of the world for me.

But you will soon realize that you NEVER really lose a good mother. She is always there, in everything you say and do. She will come to help you when you're in trouble, she will send help when you need it, she will always have a hand in her "baby's" life.

I saw the look of "understanding" in all who had lost their mother's before me when I was so shocked at how she remained with me. They did understand, and you will, too.

God bless you, honey.

Tell her to say "hello" to my Mom and Dad, too. I know she'll like them!

 Your post is a touching testimony of your love. It sounds like you had a great relationship and I hope you can always keep that in your heart when you're feeling blue.

So sorry for your loss. I know just where your feelngs are today, having been through it recently myself. Hang on to all your happy memories of times you had with her.
I find that I feel good when I have a flash of a memory of something happy or fun with my mom and share it with my kids. I tell them the story. Sometimes I get so choked up I can barely continue, but I take a deep breath and go on. (gee isn't that what life is all about?) I finish my story and then the kids ask me questions which usually prompts another story. It helps keep her memory alive in me and also keeps my kids from forgetting their Grammy.

The worst part (but now a funny part) is when I say "Hey, I just thought of something! I want to tell you a story about Grammy". One of them will invaribly say " the live one or the dead one?"

The first time they said that I burst into tears. After that, I thought hard about it and realized that if my mom were here she would have cracked up, she loved how kids would say outrageous things. She would say "oh, thta is so funny! You need to write that down!". Now when they say it I laugh too! and they know it.

You will also laugh again sweetie, just give it some time.
I'll be sending happy thoughts your way.

I'm so very sorry. Keep the wonderful memories in your heart and they will help in the days and weeks ahead.
